... This afternoon I spent about a half an hour on the phone with Mrs. Poirier discussing the
details of my lecture that I will prepare for the freshman students for the Essentials of Dental
Radiography didactic class. Students will be reading the chapter before the actual lecture so that
they will be familiar with the subject. Mrs. Poirier asked to use the student s text book as a main
source for the lecture and come up with some activity that actively engages the students during the
lecture. She also suggested creating a short quiz that I can hand out to the students to assess their
understanding of the lecture material. This quiz may be graded and used as one of their pop quiz
depending on Mrs. Poirier s decision. The lecture time will be 30 minutes and ten minutes for class
activity after the PowerPoint presentation.
Today I read chapter 5 from The Essentials of Dental Radiography text book to gather information
for my lesson plan. As I was reading the text, I was able to recall information that I learned four
years ago when I was in the freshman class in the Dental Hygiene Program. I will probably have to
read the chapter a few more times to memorize the content of the chapter to minimize looking at my

We hypothesized that the worms would move faster as the light increased. When looking at the
behavior chart, you can tell that not only they moved slower as the light increased, they also
showed signs of early paralysis. When the light was dark, the first worm moved faster and further
than the rest. Worm #1 stayed with the barrier and wasn t bothered by the light. Worm #2 moved
