It helped working together because we could share ideas to each other. The Scratch
program was simple and easy to master. We did really well at studying and mastering
the program.
There were some issues with designing the background and characters. The limited
time made it hard to make a complicated and interesting game. The game wasn t as

The style of The Shawl is a combination of short, descriptive and narrative
sentences, and haunting metaphors of ugliness. The story begins with only three
characters, Rosa who is a young Jewish mother, Rosa s baby daughter named

waiting for Magda to die so she could put her teeth into the little thighs. Those
words show suffer, pain, and any other word relating to saddening. Lastly, Ozick s
final way of connecting with the readers happens when the baby, Magda, is killed
by a soldier. Ozick writes, And the moment Magda s feathered round head and her
pencil legs and balloonish belly and zigzag arms splashed against the fence, the
steel voices went mad in their growling, urging Rosa to run and run to the spot
where Magda had fallen from her flight against the electrified fence; but of course

from his perspective but also included the perspectives of other authors which makes
his article an excellent source for interpretations of A Worn Path.
Summary
Saunders article summarizes Phoenix Jackson as a symbol of the Christian religion
and articulates the interpretation that her journey has biblical meaning. She is also
compared to the mythical phoenix. Saunders own view of Phoenix Jackson was
that she was a symbol for racial equality, who through love, perseverance and being
one with nature displayed that symbolism. In my own paper Character Analysis of
Phoenix Jackson (21 April 2106, unpublished paper) I saw Phoenix as a symbol of
the hardships of being black in the South prior to the civil rights movement and the
social, racial and economic adversity that needed to be overcome.
Thesis
My argument finds strong support in Saunders article, his analysis of it being
essential that Phoenix Jackson is black. The crucial comparison between Phoenix
Jackson and the mythical Phoenix, and his reminder of the social climate when
Welty wrote her story (Saunders) all reinforce my theory that Phoenix Jackson
symbolized social, racial and economic adversity from the 1860s to 1960s. (1)

50. Donnie Darko Ending Analysis
The ending of Donnie Darko did provide viewers some closure at the ending, but
left all viewers confused and straching our heads with What just happen? . Donnie
Darko is one of those movies that will keep you thinking even days or weeks after
watching it. It s a twist and turn kind of movie, that no matter what happens you will
still feel like Am I missing something? . What s going on? How did this or that
happen? For example: Donnie went through filmwith his sleep walking problem and
his major problem with his demonic rabbit friend FRANK. There s timewhen Donnie
takes his medicine and there s times when he doesn t. But any viewers would see that
the outcome with Donnie s actions are still the same, if he takes or not take his

When Frank took off his mask, it showed a boy from Donnie s school (which we
find out in the end) with one eye gone and blood stained down his face. Donnie ask
him what happened eye, he didn t really give him an answer but told him about
Time Travel instead. My point is before the ending when everything went to bad,
Donnie s girlfriend got ran over by a car and who was the driver? None other than
Frank, but Frank came out just a regular guy, a scared guy that didn t mean to hurt
Donnie s girlfriend. Donnie being who he is and was angry that his girfriend was
dead, so he shot Frank straight in the eye which killed him. Donnie recognized
Frank once he came of his car because of his costume. At that moment I wonder
wow, how did this happen. How can a regular guy like Frank be the demonic rabbit
guide that has been around Donnie? More confusion comes and this movie keeps
me thinking. My mind goes on over drive wondering how can this be? How can
Frank be the person behind the mask, when he was just a regular guy that Donnie
murdered for killing his girlfriend? That is the question that is the most confusing to
me and no matter how much I think, no real answer comes out. I think that s what
writer director Richard Kelly wanted, he wanted to boggle our mind and really make

51. Hannah Baker s Poem
Receiving a shoebox with no return address began as an exciting surprise for Clay.
Filled with questions and excitement, he rushed to open it. Did they just forget to
write a return address? Was it intentional? Was it from a secret admirer? In the box,
Clay finds seven audiotapes each with a dark blue number painted in the upper right
hand corner. He does not hesitate to grab an old stereo and slide the first tapein. When
he hears Hannah s voice, he realizes listening to the tapes will not be as easy as
pressing play had been. Here was Hannah Baker whom he claims he barely knew
blaming him for her death...

They are never direct or intentional antagonists. The entire purpose of Hannah s
tape is to fight the antagonistic control that life seems to have on everyone. She
speaks about the control that rumors had over her life, and if people had been
more thoughtful about their actions, she would have ended up somewhere else
entirely. The power of one s choices, of course, can be beneficial, but in the case of
Hannah, it played the antagonist. Being trapped in the choices others have made,
Hannah feels the need for the world to collapse around her, as Clay notes (261).
This is the only way Hannah can find to free herself from the cage that others built
around her; to gain control once again, Hannah takes the power of choice for
