The ESIP Federation, established in 1998 as a community-driven platform, facilitates collaboration among approximately 140 members from various scientific domains to promote data management best practices and interoperability. Key initiatives include evaluation of data identifiers, development of data citation guidelines, and guidance on discovery conventions, all driven by community input and consensus. Upcoming meetings and additional resources are provided for community engagement and knowledge sharing.
