but is experiencing difficulties in social solidarity with the community together

■ As a first-year project of Dobong RCE, ESD textbook development is being promoted, and Schools of
Sustainable Development for residents are continuously being operated
■ Although it is difficult to promote the project due to Covid-19, it is being overcome by online meetings
and implementation of pandemic regulations.
- Period: July 14 ~ July 30, 2020; Six sessions
- Purpose: Operated to raise awareness and values for

advantage of the strength of the local government-led system. (2020. June~)

■ Dobong-Gu is already engaged in ESD activities in various areas, even thought we do not use the terms
such as SD and ESD.
- In the future, RCE Dobong-Gu will discover and link the human, material, and social capital of
RCE Dobong-Gu to continuously establish the foundation for RCE operation.
Target 4.7
By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable
development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable
lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non- violence, global
citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development.

Dobong ■ Dobong-Gu is briskly engaged in community activities based on local characteristics, but is experiencing difficulties in social solidarity with the community together due to COVID-19. COVID-19 Impact on RCE Dobong-Gu ■ As a first-year project of Dobong RCE, ESD textbook development is being promoted, and Schools of Sustainable Development for residents are continuously being operated ■ Although it is difficult to promote the project due to Covid-19, it is being overcome by online meetings and implementation of pandemic regulations. - Period: July 14 ~ July 30, 2020; Six sessions - Purpose: Operated to raise awareness and values for SD of residents (4th year) - Education proceeds while following the COVID-19 pandemic regulations ESD textbook planning ESD textbook development Operation of Dobong School for SD 5 - SD and ESD survey for elementary school teachers’ awareness (online survey) - Expert advice (written) - Period: July 14 ~ July 30, 2020; Six sessions - Purpose: Operated to raise awareness and values for SD of residents (4th year) - Education proceeds while following the COVID-19 pandemic regulations ESD textbook monitoring Publication of ESD text books - Dobong-Gu 4 schools, 14 classes (about 280 students) scheduled to participate (September ~ November 2020) ※ Class methods are subject to change due to COVID-19 - Due to Covid-19, meetings are held at any time by e-mail or online meetings. - Expert meeting (August 19), implementation of pandemic regulations - Various utilization of manufactured ESD textbooks (School-related programs, related organizations, projects, etc.) ESD textbook development Level 1 (lower grade), level 2 (higher grade) for elementary school students Writing staff composition Dobong-Gu office, elementary school teachers, experts, citizens Textbook composition Composition of 7 activity-oriented units that contain the characteristics and examples of the Dobong region based on the UN SDGs ESD

RCE Dobong-Gu’s Response to COVID-19 ■ RCE Dobong-Gu, a local government-led type is responding to COVID- 19 in various areas by taking advantage of the strength of the local government-led system. Supporting mechanism to enhance ESD during/after the Pandemic ■ RCE Dobong-Gu’s Aiming at 4.7 of SDG4 ■ Dobong-Gu is already engaged in ESD activities in various areas, even thought we do not use the terms such as SD and ESD. - In the future, RCE Dobong-Gu will discover and link the human, material, and social capital of RCE Dobong-Gu to continuously establish the foundation for RCE operation. Target 4.7 By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non- violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development. ■ RCE Dobong-Gu’s Aiming at 4.7 of SDG4 ■ Dobong-Gu is already engaged in ESD activities in various areas, even thought we do not use the terms such as SD and ESD. - In the future, RCE Dobong-Gu will discover and link the human, material, and social capital of RCE Dobong-Gu to continuously establish the foundation for RCE operation.
