1. The student observed their Resource Teacher, Mr. Glen Samudio, teach an English lesson at Saint Francis of Assisi College to 7th grade students. 2. After observing, the student deduced the lesson objective but then asked Mr. Samudio for the actual written objective to compare. This showed that lesson objectives in practice do not always match those planned. 3. Through this experience, the student learned that clearly stating objectives at the beginning of the lesson and ensuring they remain the focus is important but that objectives can sometimes shift as the lesson develops organically. Well-formulated objectives are a useful guide but may need flexibility.
