Students will submit their research, timeline, postcard series, and a 1-minute video montage by January 28th for assessment based on their understanding, content, creativity, and originality. - 2. Topic 2(b): Parks and Gardens within Klang Valley Perdana Botanical Garden, Kuala Lumpur
- 3. Historical background • This project took nearly ten years to complete, but the garden was formally opened on 13 May 1889. • Initially called Public Gardens but later renamed Lake Gardens. • In 1975, it renamed Taman Tasik Perdana by Tun Abdul Razak. • In early 2010, thousands of new plants and trees were introduced into the gardens which is the reason for the official name change to the Botanical Gardens. • In 2011, the garden renamed again by Dato’ Sri Najib Razak.
- 4. Structure and layout of the landscape / building(s) Layout of the Lake Gardens. Variety of trees along the river.
- 5. Decking gives visitors a better view of the place. The designing pattern of the garden creates a better look.
- 6. Landscaping featuring various palms and croton. Croton White bridge with the match of river shows a delicate image.
