WHAT IS ADVERTISING?
WHATS IS ITS PURPOSE?
ADVERTISING…
is the activity or profession
of producing advertisements
for commercial products or
services.
The Purpose of Advertising
is to:
• Make customers aware of your product
or service;
• Convince customers that your company's
product or service is right for their needs;
• Create a desire for your product or
service;
• Enhance the image of your company;
• Announce new products or services;
• Reinforce salespeople's messages;
• Make customers take the next step (ask
for more information, request a sample,
place an order, and so on); and
• Draw customers to your business.
What Is False Advertising?
Why Do Some Companies
Engage In False Advertising?
False advertising refers to a manufacturer or a company using a
fake statements to promote their product. The purpose of these
companies is to confuse and attract the consumer with attractive
but untrue advertisement. For example, the McDonald’s Big Mag
burgers doesn’t look exactly like what they show in their
advertisement.
SOLUTIONS?
1.The solution to deal with the false advertising
is using rules and regulation against the
authority. State and federal laws are in place to
protect consumers from false or misleading
advertising. These laws make deceptive claims
illegal. No business may make false,
misleading, or deceptive claims about a product
regarding its price, quality and purpose.
2. Another solution is government can create
a short video to post on the "Youtube" to help
people from getting cheated by those false
advertising. People now are more rather to
watch video at home instead of participating a
conference. Hence, precautions can be taken
to avoid those unwanted deception.
