This document summarizes an animal acute toxicity test of an enzyme conducted by SuZhou BioTem Laboratory for ZFA Technologies Inc. between June 15-22, 2013. Ten mice were given a 0.8ml solution of the enzyme equivalent to a dose of 10.20g/kg, which caused the mice to be slightly quiet but resume normal activity with no deaths after 7 days of observation. The mice showed normal weight gain and their organs displayed no abnormalities upon autopsy. The maximum non-lethal dose of 10.20g/kg classified the enzyme as nontoxic according to Chinese toxicity testing standards.

SuZhou BioTem Laboratory use BERO enzyme for acute animal test with mice
between the days of 15th to 22nd June 2013, the test report is as below:
The Experimental Materials
Animal Type: mice, Kunming type (provided by China academy of radiation
protection)
Drug Type: enzyme (provided by ZFA Technologies Inc)
The Experimental Methods
Preparation of pharmaceutical suspensions: use distilled water and enzyme,
produce to solution of 0.25g/ml.
Animal acute toxicity test: Take 10 normal mice, half male and half female,
weighing 19.6 ±1.35g. Each one feed with 0.8ml of enzyme solution (feed 2
times per day), equivalent of enzyme formers were 10.20g/kg; Observe the
mice situation of death, diet, color, activity, etc. Observation period: 7days, 7
days later called weight, and the mice were sacrificed and dissected. Observe
the exceptions of heart, liver, lung, spleen, kidney, gastrointestinal, etc.
Test Results
After feed with enzyme solution, mice slightly quiet for a few moments and
resume to normal activities, animals without acute death. We continue to
observe mice but still no mice dead after seven days. No abnormal secretions
from mice’s natural holes and activity, diet, color were normal, also no
abnormal changes for mice’s feces and urine within 7days; the weight is
27.55±3.6g, net weight is 7.95g within seven days.
Put the mice to death after 7days; observe the heart, liver, lung, spleen, kidney,
gastrointestinal and other organs showed no abnormality. The maximum dose
of the test gavage is 10.20g/kg still cannot cause the mice to death. This
explains the maximum tolerated dose (LD0) is greater than 10g/kg.
According to the acute toxicity test of acute toxicity classification
GB15193.3-94, this enzyme should be nontoxic.
