Environmental balance exists when there is equal input and output of energy and resources in an environment. An environment has resilience and carrying capacities - resilience is the ability to recover from changes and carrying capacity is the ability to support organisms. Environmental damage can be caused by natural factors like storms or by human factors such as pollution. Both can disrupt the balance and people need to take steps to handle the issues.
