Hello everyone I am honored to be here
My name is Jason Baudendistel if you don't know my story I grew up on welfare
and was homeless twice. I have now co-founded two different tech startups
including one that received a nearly 1 million dollar buyout offer. On top of that I
am an Amazon bestselling author and serial entrepreneur.
I speak on social media and marketing strategy as well as my story and I consult
on Linkedin, Marketing strategy and business strategy.

Put yourself out there is no room for secrecy if you want to build a well-known
brand. Interact in groups, publish content and feed it to your Linkedin contacts
and be active wherever possible.

that comes your way strongly. You will need to seek out prospects and use

  • 1. Hello everyone I am honored to be here My name is Jason Baudendistel if you don't know my story I grew up on welfare and was homeless twice. I have now co-founded two different tech startups including one that received a nearly 1 million dollar buyout offer. On top of that I am an Amazon bestselling author and serial entrepreneur. I speak on social media and marketing strategy as well as my story and I consult on Linkedin, Marketing strategy and business strategy. So there is why you should listen. Here is why you should care. Have you ever heard of 6 up? Uncle Sam's Beer, General Motors. Yeah the last one sounds familiar. Want to know the easiest way to guarantee your business will live in mediocrity or even die out to be forgotten? Have a poor business and or marketing strategy, underestimate your competitors, don't clearly define your position and see how quickly your position will erode. How do you market and position your business? First off you must understand what makes you different. What is your USP? How are you different? 85 to 95% of Advertising dollars are wasted. How so? Most businesses think of advertising as throwing money at sales. However without a defined strategy you spend way too much on branding without any clear revenue benefit. Story 1 Dynamictivity Once you have that down then you are finally at the point of being ready to plan the rest. Marketing has so many facets and buttons and everyone has an opinion. Seo, Social media, paint people blue and have them run through the street, Branding, Lead generation, There is a list even with a marketing team sometimes it can feel like you have a thousand jobs to do. So where to begin?

Story 2 Online Legacy Depending on what your target market is you will position your message to engage them and then use your market research and the reaction to your message as a launching point to continue through your funnel. Once you have clear targeting and a clear message then it is time leverage that message through social media, strategic advertising, contests, and various other physical and online lead generation methods. Social Media is the most cost effective way to generate leads and grow your business. Linkedin is the most business centric social media platform. Cut your advertising budget in half. If you do raise your hand If not why not? Linkedin is the number 1 social media site for professionals with over 130 Million members. The average income on Linkedin is over 100,000 dollars a year. Facebook, twitter, pinterest, none of them have the income power or audience of Linkedin. Most of Linkedin's marketing tools are free to use and even an aggressive or proactive premium account is much more cost effective than traditional advertising.

The 7 Deadly Sins Of linkedin Sin #1 Spreading Yourself Too Thin Your efforts should be targeted within a specific niche or group of niches without targeting you are spreading your resources thin. For example don’t join a group on forestry if you want to target real estate. Most mistakes are not that obvious but you get the idea. Sin # 2 Not Being Visible Put yourself out there is no room for secrecy if you want to build a well-known brand. Interact in groups, publish content and feed it to your Linkedin contacts and be active wherever possible. Sin # 3 Being Afraid To Leave Your Comfort Zone Building a business is a calculated risk you need to consider any opportunity that comes your way strongly. You will need to seek out prospects and use Linkedin tools aggressively there are countless ways to generate traffic and leads on Linkedin. You need to put them to use.

Sin # 4 Giving Up: Never do this it is like one of my favorite quotes by Thomas Edison “Many of those who failed never realized how close they were to success when they gave up” Giving up usually happens when you are finally gaining momentum, never stop hustling. Sin # 5 Not Showing Your Personality on Your Profile You need to be personable and interact people want someone they can connect to and trust. Sin # 6 Not Having a LinkedIn Marketing Strategy You need a game plan centered on how you will grow contacts,, generate leads, interact and add value to your LinkedIn network. Sin # 7 Not having SEO on Your LinkedIn Profile Whatever niche or niches you are targeting should be positioned for through your profile. Use all aspects of your profile to insert your primary 5 target keywords. These alone are only just the beginning a full Linkedin profile is an absolute must.
