1. Dear, ... to share my small work and search on Enterprise Architecture Visualization
2.So, my presentation today will be based on those outlines:
We will go through Introduction part that has a summary of the goal of my topic, EA, EA tools, problems and soulution
The second part will be more concentrated on EA visualization
And the conclusion
3. Introduction
4. From this definiton wi see that:
-this is the aim of visualization
-to make sense and conect all infromation available
-with different methods and models.
5. And out of this, the goal of my presentation is to give an overview of visual techniques, methods and approaches in existing EA tools, and to see what we can recommend for further and future development.
6. So, to answer what is EA we must say that the task of EA is to make the interaction between IT and business processes and to represent it.
And in this context EA should offer fast response, better efficiency and shorter adaptation time in a globalized world.
7. And, we use EA to manage change and complexity in several steps:
1. To have an overview in current or real situation
2. Connecting business and IT
3. Outsourcing
4. To support projects
5. To support portfolio management
6. Communication with stakeholders
7. Impact analysis and trade-off analysis ( is something cost-effective)

Bridging business analysis and business architecture - The Open Group webinarCraig Martin
To design business models of the future requires a comprehensive set of skills. The skills are diverse in nature and range from the typical business analysis delivery focused requirements management tools and techniques to the more business architect MBA style and business model innovation techniques.
But how can we leverage the two skillsets to create more cohesion in the industry?
Where is the overlap and is there a career path between the two?
What about the frameworks that support these two disciplines?
This presentation will deal with:
Shifts occurring in the market;
Where the business architect and the business analyst provide value individually;
Where the business architecture and the business analyst provide value together;
How are the disciplines merging; and what the future could look like.
Structured Approach to Solution ArchitectureAlan McSweeney
The role of solution architecture is to identify answer to a business problem and set of solution options and their components. There will be many potential solutions to a problem with varying degrees of suitability to the underlying business need. Solution options are derived from a combination of Solution Architecture Dimensions/Views which describe characteristics, features, qualities, requirements and Solution Design Factors, Limitations And Boundaries which delineate limitations. Use of structured approach can assist with solution design to create consistency. The TOGAF approach to enterprise architecture can be adapted to perform some of the analysis and design for elements of Solution Architecture Dimensions/Views.

The Need for Speed: Enabling DevOps through Enterprise Architecture
Mark Landy, VP, Enterprise Architecture, Johnson & Johnson
William Evans, Chief Design Officer, PraxisFlow
Have you ever wished you worked for a unicorn like Netflix or Amazon? Have your colleagues ever told you, “DevOps just won’t work here!” Many people hold the belief that DevOps is not achievable in distributed product teams, large enterprises, or highly regulated industries. This session is for the haters.
This is the story of a DevOps transformation inside the world’s largest healthcare company: how a highly siloed, matrixed IT organization is using enterprise architecture to leverage challenges and identify constraints, run experiments, and ultimately evolve into a highly resilient, customer-centric delivery organization that continuously re-aligns IT with business intent to continuously deliver value to the customer.
What began as a need for speed, led to experimenting with enterprise architecture to find ways to decrease lead-time across all of IT (versus optimizing specific functions or products) and focus on throughput. Through these experiments, the enterprise architecture group uncovered guiding principles that encourage the natural adoption of DevOps rather than the common, mega-enterprise practice of mandating the a top-down Framework or big-bang installing the hot new transformation of the year methodology (aka Bi-Model from Gartner).
Ultimately, horses (enterprise IT organizations (aka Clydesdales)) must learn the 3 Ways of unicorns or face extinction, but the key to the horse’s journey will be the most unlikely of guides: enterprise architecture.
DevOps Enterprise Summit San Francisco 2016
Course presentation at SIGGRAPH 2014 by Charles de Rousiers and Sébastian Lagarde at Electronic Arts about transitioning the Frostbite game engine to physically-based rendering.
Make sure to check out the 118 page course notes on: http://www.frostbite.com/2014/11/moving-frostbite-to-pbr/
During the last few months, we have revisited the concept of image quality in Frostbite. The core of our approach was to be as close as possible to a cinematic look. We used the concept of reference to evaluate the accuracy of produced images. Physically based rendering (PBR) was the natural way to achieve this. This talk covers all the different steps needed to switch a production engine to PBR, including the small details often bypass in the literature.
The state of the art of real-time PBR techniques allowed us to achieve good overall results but not without production issues. We present some techniques for improving convolution time for image based reflection, proper ambient occlusion handling, and coherent lighting units which are mandatory for level editing.
Moreover, we have managed to reduce the quality gap, highlighted by our systematic reference comparison, in particular related to rough material handling, glossy screen space reflection, and area lighting.
The technical part of PBR is crucial for achieving good results, but represents only the top of the iceberg. Frostbite has become the de facto high-end game engine within Electronic Arts and is now used by a large amount of game teams. Moving all these game teams from “old fashion” lighting to PBR has required a lot of education, which have been done in parallel of the technical development. We have provided editing and validation tools to help the transition of art production. In addition, we have built a flexible material parametrisation framework to adapt to the various authoring tools and game teams’ requirements.
Presentation from full-stack agile on how you can scale your agile teams as your company grows. As your company grows your teams need to be able to adapt to change quickly.

Critical Success Factors Influencing SOA implementations in Healthcare Drkonk
To promote a debate on HIS integration, this paper reviews the literature, on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).SOA has proved a useful integration paradigm in many sectors and recently by healthcare as well. SOA assures an environment of cooperating services where application services are interweaved within old and new applications. Nevertheless, SOA’s nature to extend beyond the technical infrastructure to organization and human elements requires further investigation. Some integration issues are unique for healthcare, where some are common issues that are faced by every domain. The aim of this research is to identify the Critical Success Factors (CSF) that affect SOA implementation in a healthcare perspective and provide useful insights of an emerging issue. In doing so, we extend the body of literature and evaluated our proposition through a case study in a large public healthcare organization.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

8. What makes EA?
EA* consists of the various structures and processes of an
organization, including both technical structures and processes
as well as business/domain structures and processes.
* Architecture = structure(s) of a system in terms of:
- components,
- their externally visible properties,
- their relations,
- and the underlying principles.
8 Shkumbin Rrushaj
9. What makes EA?
Therefore, EA requires a holistic approach. It should include:
• the business activities,
• internal processes,
• services,
• applications,
• infrastructure services, and
• platforms and databases.
9 Shkumbin Rrushaj
10. EA models
An enterprise architecture model is a representation of those
structures and processes.
• A good enterprise architecture model will depict the whole
organization and map the various views representing the
architecture to each another.
• These views include both business-oriented perspectives as well as
technical perspectives.
10 Shkumbin Rrushaj
12. EA tools
The task of EA tools is to support EA management (e.g.
maintenance of the EA models along with their information, creation
of reports, etc).
The essential component of these reports are often visualized
representations of the EA.
12 Shkumbin Rrushaj
13. Advantages of EA tools
• Increasing consistency of the architecture
• consistency and model checking mechanisms
• Automatic generation of views and visualizations
• tailored for a particular stakeholder
• Work in teams
• …

14. Problem
EA is hard to perform:
The EA is basically a complex system of many systems.
Plethora of infrastructural items of different origins, types, functions…
Many stakeholders with different interests, technical literacy, expertise…
Because EA items are strongly intertwined, they are difficult to model.
In addition, EA tools are not always up to the task.
14 Shkumbin Rrushaj
15. Visualization support for EA
One of the approaches to solving this problem is
to strengthen EA tool with visual support for EA
management.
15 Shkumbin Rrushaj
16. Why is EA visualization important?
• It’s used to capture and visually represent the
infrastructure and the diverse connections and
relationships between all items!
• A visual representation can represent complex
information in a clear and understandable way to
various stakeholders, and thus promote
comprehension.

18. SEBIS survey on EA visualizations
To explore the EA visualizations provided in existing EA
tools, the Software Engineering for Business Information
Systems (SEBIS) department of the Faculty of Computer
Science at theTechnische Universität München (TUM)
conducted an online survey.

19. SEBIS survey findings
The findings are reported in the study "Enterprise Architecture
VisualizationTool Survey 2014" by Sascha Roth, Marin Zec and
Florian Matthes. *
The study focuses on the analysis of the visualization capabilities
of EA tools.

27. SEBIS survey findings
• The survey shows that most of the 109 EA tools
users rely on Microsoft tools for visualization.
• Trend is towards web-based solutions for EA
visualizations.
27 Shkumbin Rrushaj
28. SEBIS survey findings
• The authors list a total of 26 different types of visualization,
such as:
1. table,
2. flowchart,
3. 3-D graphics,
4. dashboard and representation according to Business Process
Model and Notation (BPMN)…
• Particularly frequently used forms of representation are the
cluster map, matrix, timeline and the flowchart.
28 Shkumbin Rrushaj
29. SEBIS survey findings
Interestingly, there are, depending on the job profile, different
preferences:
• Bubble charts (point or pie charts) are mainly used in
communication with the IT, departmental managers and C-level
executives.
• BPMN is a common display format for business analysts.
• UML is relevant for enterprise and solution architects.
• Dashboards are aimed principally for informing C-level stakeholders.
• The Event Driven Process Chain (EPC) is often used by business
analysts.
29 Shkumbin Rrushaj
30. SEBIS survey findings
Study revealed differing update frequency patterns among different
stakeholder groups:
• Visualizations for C-level management are mostly updated on a
quarterly or monthly basis.
• In contrast, business analysts, solution architects as well as lower
and middle level managers with business focus tend to demand
for more frequent updates (e.g. on a weekly basis).
• A significant share of solutions architects even asks for daily
updates.
30 Shkumbin Rrushaj
31. SEBIS survey findings
• The survey also shows that the operation of the tools
is now easier - even less experienced users can
customize their models and sometimes visualizations.
• Nevertheless, there is a need for further
simplification for users, so that the customizing is
easier to perform.
31 Shkumbin Rrushaj
32. Conclusion
In short:
• Many EA tools, that are very friendly to use and have a
very good performance on different platforms, with many
types of visualizations
• Some visualization types are used more often than others.
The 5 most widely used visualization types are: cluster
map, matrix, graph, timeline and flow diagram.
• Differing update frequency patterns among different
stakeholder groups.
32 Shkumbin Rrushaj
33. Conclusion
It is recommended that more focus and research effort
is directed towards:
• simplification of the tools
• visual support for EA management
• to capture and visually represent the infrastructure
and the diverse connections and relationships
between all items.
