Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes was a Spanish painter born in 1746 in Spain. He travelled to several European countries to learn painting techniques. Goya served as the official painter to two kings of Spain. In 1792, Goya suffered a terrible illness that left him deaf. He died in 1828 in Spain at the age of 82.
