Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes was a Spanish painter born in 1746 in Spain who died in 1828 in Spain. He travelled to Europe to learn painting techniques, visiting two countries. Goya was the official painter for two kings of Spain. In 1792, Goya suffered a terrible illness that left him deaf.
