Successful Event Fundraising Hints and TipsSandra Luther
Event fundraising continues to be an important income stream for charities, with increasing numbers of people taking part in events. But why do people take part and how important are such events in building long term supporter engagement?
For the Successful Events Fundraising report, Blackbaud surveyed over 1,000 event fundraisers across the UK and Ireland to gain more insight into people’s motivations for getting involved in fundraising events, what types of events they preferred and how well-supported they felt they were by their chosen charities.

They provide a unique opportunity to develop creative and personal excellence.
Young Entrepreneur competition- september 2015- seeking to use social media as a tool to redefine ways of thinking and financial independence for young parents.
Watch what happens when social entrepreneurs buy a village shop, crowdfund the start-up capital from their community and reinvest in the next generation of micro entrepreneurs. Please share to help us find good people to invest in our rapid growth.
CrowdfundSW1 launched a new initiative to help support local charities and community groups by providing them with a platform to promote their projects and increase awareness at Microsoft HQ in London Victoria on 21 March 2012. The aim is to enable funding to reach into the heart of the local community where it is most needed.
This is the first crowd funding platform in the world to focus on fundraising for grassroots charities in a specific locality. The event (organised by CrowdfundSW1, Microsoft and Time & Talents Westminster) will be hosted by Steven D'Souza, internationally renowned speaker and author of the bestselling book Brilliant Networking.
If you’re not careful while putting together an event like Lemonade Day your focus can be shifted to the myriad tasks that add up to execute this event. But it only takes one email, one phone call or one encounter with a participant to remind you what this is all about...THE KIDS.
The kids this year did an amazing job. Once again they surprised us by the amount of money they made and how much of that was given to charity. We were also delighted to see our participant demographic get even younger as we spread out from Salem this year to Portland and Eugene.
Lemonade Day would not exist without the support of our sponsors, partners, mentors, and parents. You are helping ensure a bright future here in Oregon.
THANK YOU!

The Missing Middle: Cultivating a Deeper Connection to Mid-Level Donors and B...ImpactDC
What do you do with those troublesome mid-level donors? They're not major donors, nor are they membership donors, but they tend to act a bit like both. Share Our Strength and Impact Communications share their mid-level donor secrets with you, from walking you through the lifespan of the Mid-tier Ambassador program - that cultivates and stewards mid-level donors - from concept and implementation to results. The analysis will include a head to head comparison of managed donors against similar donors who were not managed. You will also learn how to maximize revenue from middle of the file donors, in today's environment of declining donor files. You'll learn from first hand examples of solicitations and stewardship efforts designed to help "build a better bridge" from direct mail to major gifts.

Monitoring Health for the SDGs - Global Health Statistics 2024 - WHOChristina Parmionova
The 2024 World Health Statistics edition reviews more than 50 health-related indicators from the Sustainable Development Goals and WHO’s Thirteenth General Programme of Work. It also highlights the findings from the Global health estimates 2021, notably the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on life expectancy and healthy life expectancy.
Working with data is a challenge for many organizations. Nonprofits in particular may need to collect and analyze sensitive, incomplete, and/or biased historical data about people. In this talk, Dr. Cori Faklaris of UNC Charlotte provides an overview of current AI capabilities and weaknesses to consider when integrating current AI technologies into the data workflow. The talk is organized around three takeaways: (1) For better or sometimes worse, AI provides you with “infinite interns.” (2) Give people permission & guardrails to learn what works with these “interns” and what doesn’t. (3) Create a roadmap for adding in more AI to assist nonprofit work, along with strategies for bias mitigation.
