mythologist, myths have four functions in any
society:
1. Metaphysical Function
- allows the individual to be awakened to the
wonders of life and the universe

- aims to present an image of the universe to
explain its different phenomena

*Each society has a set of rules regarding what is right and wrong or
proper and improper, and these are reflected on its myths.
