1. The instructor provided feedback and grades for students in the Blackboard Grade Center instead of using the usual inquiry rubric due to changes made to the syllabus and inquiry plan.
2. All students participated well in all face-to-face sessions and turned in all work, which was done well.
3. The instructor lists several things for students to do before their access to the Blackboard site ends, including downloading course materials they want to keep and posting their Curious Classroom URL.
2. Many changes were made to your syllabus as well as
to the inquiry plan. So I will not use the inquiry rubric
that is usually used for theCuriousClassroom project
and instead provided a grade and comments for you
in Blackboard’sGradeCenter.
Everyoneparticipated well in this class and attended
all three face-to-face sessions. ALL work was turned
in and done well! Thank you all for your work during
this crazy 6 weeks!
3. Your access to
the Blackboard
site will end in
a few weeks.
What will you
want to
download and
keep from this
course?
1. Be sure to look at your peer evaluations for the
strat chat.
2. View any projects that may be helpful to you for
your own classroom.
3. Download any of the course materials you would
like to save (readings, videos, padlets, etc.).
4. Make sure you have posted your Curious
Classroom url (in the comment box) to Live
Text by Wednesday, June 20.
4. Many of you
mentioned the
lack of training
in technology.
It is a problem
in many
districts. Here
is an idea to
think about for
your building!
A few years ago the College of Education started “Big
Bytes”.
These are short technology meetings (one hour) where
faculty are invited to present anything they are using in
technology that others may want to try.
The meetings are held once a month on different days/times
each month to accommodate schedules. Even if you cannot
get to every session, going to any is so helpful!
Topics that I have learned about at these include many of
the technologies used in this course! Flipgrid,Vocaroo,
Weebly, Padlet, etc.
I look forward to the meetings because I am able to not only
learn new technologies but see how they were used in the
classroom.
Could you set up a monthly computer sharing in your
building?
6. This video was
mentioned by a
few students. It is
an important one
to think about the
power of using
multiple texts
with multiple view
points! Text
clusters offer a
variety of texts on
a topic!

If we merged
EPIC and
Biblionasium
together we
would have a
dynamite
resource!
Both of these resources were shared in the course
but if you missed them, now is the time to check
out what these websites offer! They are free!

you have free
access to this
wonderful
