Good Evening! My name is Eric Encarnacion
and I am currently pursuing my Bachelors in
Sports Marketing and Media and eventually work
towards achieving my Masters in Sports
Management. Since I was a young child living in
San Francisco, sports have always captivated
me. From watching it as a fan, to playing it as an
athlete, the euphoric feeling you get when you
are participating in a sports event is unmatched.
Growing up I knew I wanted to have a job that
allowed me to be close to sports but I never
quite
fi
gured out what I wanted to contribute to a
team. That is until I realized that I can give my all
to a team as their General Manager.

Outreach Plan:
• Before reaching out to Mr. Carthon, I plan to spruce up
my resume by working for a professional sports
franchise. As of right now I am aiming for an opportunity
at Orlando City FC
• When I attempt to contact Ran, I will have visited one of
his seminars that he hosts towards the early stages of
the season. I will ask him his recommendations on how
I can aspire to be in his shoes and bet on myself and
ask him to be a mentor.
• Largely depending on the outcome of our interaction, I
would follow up with Ran after a couple months to
touch base on my progress and receive any advice he
may have

Outreach Plan:
• Before my initial contact with Mr. Onstad, I want to
ensure my resume and goals align with each other.
Currently my resume doesn’t cater to the future I want
to build
• My Method of contact will be to email him and his
assistant directly to set up a short conversation whether
it be through zoom or an email chain.
• I will continue to follow up with Mr.Onstad on a yearly
basis through email to give him updates on my career
path and seeing if he has any recommendations.

Outreach Plan:
• When reaching out to Mr. Obas, I want to have my
career path more steadily ready so I am able to relay
my goals and aspirations in an orderly manner.
• I plan on using LinkedIn for the initial contact to build
familiarity and to have him understand my goals and
seek into what he still strives to do.
• After the initial contact, I plan on reaching back out
through linkedin after a few weeks to gain more insight
and tidbits he may have about getting into his line of
work

• My goal after graduation is to work for the Houston Dynamo or
Houston Texans as an operations/ equipment manager.

resume to then be able to transfer to Houston post
graduation.

• My goal 5 years after graduation with my then newly earned masters
degree is to shift my way into the front of

share common ground between both my marketing degree
and my master in sports management. Building up to this
year I will already gather experience to step into an of
