Migration to a new country can cause significant stress for women. The document outlines 7 common stress factors for immigrant women in Canada: age, education, childcare, language barriers, isolation, income challenges, and difficulties adapting life skills to a new cultural context. It then describes a 7-step program to help empower immigrant women and reduce stress through self-assessment, counseling, goal-setting, training, peer support, self-marketing skills, and ongoing case management. The outcomes for 4 client case studies demonstrate how following the program helped them better integrate into Canadian society and find stability.
