This event took place on 21st September 2020. This was arranged by EMK Center (Makerlab). The title was 'Elementary Data Analysis with MS Excel', where very basic data analysis with MS excel was discussed.
In Day-6, Creating and controlling Database of MS Access using MS Excel and within the Access was discussed. As well as Form creation, report creation, pulling MS Access data into MS Excel, and pivoting for chart and analysis were also discussed.
Google Public Data and recap of previous classes and Quiz answers were discussed.
It was the last class of the total 06 days session.

4. Introduction to MS Access
• Basically a Database
• There you can ‘Create’ custom form where you can put data, which
will be saved according to datatype/ column wise.
• ‘MS Access’ is standalone capable of generating reports and establish
relations across the datatypes.
• But Excel gives you more flexibility in analyzing the trends, relations.

• Let’s go to the following site for downloading a sample MS Access
Database:
https://www.599cd.com/access/studentdatabases/
This is for demo/ tutorial purpose. You can use your own database for
analysis.
• In this site, some are ‘Password Protected’, some are accessible.
Please click on the 3rd file, named ‘Access Beginner 3’
• After Downloading, extract the file. You will get a database file with
file extension of .accdb. It stands for Access Database.

Access. If any change is recurred in Main DB of MS Access, it will be
automatically change in Excel too.
• To observe the latest change in Access DB into Excel, Click the
‘Refresh’ button on ‘External Table Data’ ribbon of ‘Design’ tab.
