Ek Titli is an Indian startup based in Pune that works in organic farming and maintains a portal for green initiatives. It helps farmers transition to organic methods and sets up micro-farms for citizens to grow their own food organically. Ek Titli believes small changes today can lead to big changes tomorrow and showcases positive environmental work on its portal. It has set up two organic farms, transforming empty spaces into productive gardens growing vegetables, salads and herbs for local residents in a sustainable way.

Ek Titli is an Indian Green Tech startup head quartered in Pune.
We work under the following two verticals:
Organic Farming: Ek Titli Farms
An Ek Titli venture, where we encourage farmers & farm owners to go Organic
by conceptualizing, executing and maintaining the said farm. Our Micro Farm
Venture helps citizens to grow their own food. Provide us a space, of any size
and we’ll help you grow food on it.
The Portal: Ek Titli .Org
Ek Titli .Org is our unique voluntary initiative where we showcase all the
positive and constructive work happening in the ‘Green and Clean Space’. If you
are a traveler, an organization, the common man, a company etc that believes
and practices clean living and wishes to be heard, this is your Rightful space.

How would you like to have an abundance of juicy heirloom
tomatoes, crisp fresh greens, and sweet crunchy carrots? If you
grow your own fruits and vegetables, you know exactly what
goes into the soil, and onto your plants. If you aspire to garden
and yearn to grow your own fresh, healthy, organic food, this
presentation will provide you with an overview of the
information you need to begin the process of gardening
organically.
The goal is to create a garden environment that tries to mimic nature and
maximizes diversity in the system at all levels –
The system is “in balance” so pest outbreaks are
minimized, and nature works FOR you
(i.e., natural predators take care of pests
instead of chemical pesticides)

• Chemicals harm Man & the ecosystem at large
• Nutrient & Mineral content is 80-400% more in Organic
Food products
• World pesticide use exceeded 5 billion lbs in 2001, at
an approx cost of $64.5 billion and only 0.1% actually
made it to the pests. Rest 99.9% found itself in the
food chain!
• Pesticides kill more than their target pests.
• Implications for human and environmental health.

Organic foods have shown the following level of Nutrient and
Mineral content compared to Chemical based farming produce:
: Iron, Increases hemoglobin in blood - 21%
: Magnesium, which reduces mortality from heart attacks -
138%
: Chromium- Its deficiency is associated with the onset of adult
diabetes and atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) - 78%.
: Selenium- It is protective against cancers and heart disease-
390%
: Calcium, needed for strong bones - 63%.
