Managing vision and purpose with strategic agility has never been more important for health care leaders in a turbulent and transforming industry. We struggle with creating unique differentiating value from the patient’s perspective, making strategic choices to reduce organizational overburden, aligning strategic intent in the organization, and deploying initiatives in a manner that accelerates learning.
In this webinar, Jeff Hunter, the author of Patient-Centered Strategy, will share lessons that can apply to any industry.
Learning Objectives:
To learn the advantages of this Plan-Do-Study-Adjust strategic management system over the old strategic planning process.
To gain new insights for creating value from the patient’s perspective.
To understand the steps in the iterative process of developing and deploying strategy through rapid learning cycles.
To gain a basic understanding of how the tools in this system work together within the system, so you can practice at home

Leading Indicators: What's so KEY about your KPIsDan French
Watch this fascinating webinar and explore the challenges of KPIs as lagging indicators and how, by switching mainly to leading indicators, you can genuinely transform focus and performance.
KPIs in shared services are the most commonly broken instrument in use by management in today’s business environment. In a desire to drive increased efficiency and better outcomes for customers, and with the mantra ‘what you can’t measure you can’t manage’ ringing in our ears, management are collecting data that relates to performance but typically does not DRIVE performance.
We are seeing KPIs that are:
- detrimental to the overall success of the business and;
- encouraging the ‘gaming’ of KPIs for achievement of personal or departmental objectives
The core issues is that lagging indicators, today’s typical KPI set, measure only outputs. We need LEADING indicators to measure and drive the insight and decision making that produces improved performance. We will also be looking at the role of leading indicators, including the Key Exception Indicators and examples of best practices. We will share the Top KPIs in use today, challenge them and share a more balanced approach for driving winning behaviour.
In particular we are examining:
- Leading and lagging Indicators across shared services processes
- The challenge of traditional lagging KPIs
- The most common KPIs for shared services
- How to use indicators to drive behaviour
- How to engage the customer
- Developing an AID-Board
Performance measurement is a fundamental principle of management. The measurement of performance is important because it identifies current performance gaps between current and desired performance and provides indication of progress towards closing the gaps. Carefully selected key performance indicators identify precisely where to take action to improve performance.
People often ask “what’s the difference between a Leading and a Lagging indicator?”. This presentation challenges some of the usual views and suggests some answers.

So where does Australian organisational learning stand on the world stage. Are we aspiring for excellence or just cruising? Is the tall poppy syndrome at work? The Australian academic sector (Universities and Schools) has a structured and focused approach to defining what excellence in learning means and how to achieve it. This approach seems to be missing in organisational and corporate learning. Maybe we are running so fast that we may never stop to improve our running technique. We talk to an experienced panel that architect and manage Learning in their organisations to deliver business results. We will ask what Learning excellence means to them and how they plan to get there
Organisational Performance Index (OPI) Business Excellence Model helps organizations interrogate their processes and benchmark the same against global standards. OPI is the tool KIM uses to determine Company/SME of the Year during COYA gala celebration
Knowledge Management is first and foremost a willingness and desire of people within the organisation to help each other make things better. If this desire is not truly there, all that your process and technology-related investments will lead to, are expensive and embarrassing white elephants.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Connecting Continuous Improvement to the Bottom LineKaiNexus
Presented by Nick Katko
Lean is a long-term business strategy, primarily focusing on employees and learning. Through various continuous improvement practices, employees learn to master their work, solve the right problems and help an organization learn how to do things tomorrow it cannot do today.
The operational impact of continuous improvement is well known. Eliminating waste creates capacity, which can be used to serve customers better, improve productivity and improve employee satisfaction. But what about the financial impact? Oftentimes conventional financial analytical practices do not capture the true financial benefits of continuous improvement. This becomes a “problem to be solved.”
This webinar will explain how to make the true cause-effect relationships between continuous improvement and financial improvement visible throughout the organization. Integrating these relationships will improve the quality of business decision-making and leverage continuous improvement for financial success for the entire organization.
In this webinar, you will learn:
* the numbers to establish the true cause-effect relationships between continuous improvement and financial improvement.
* how to use the economics of lean to calculate the financial benefit of continuous improvement
* how continuous improvement achieves cost reduction over time
* why certain conventional financial analyses can show that continuous improvement is “not working” financially

www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.

Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.

Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.

Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Then, THAT is your opportunity
– Collect voice of the customer (VOC) feedback

Then, start connecting...
– Reach out to old colleagues
– Do a social media search
– Talk to everyone you know and ask better questions
– Invite someone to coffee who seems to know about your topic
