Summary;
This Paper is related to quality education which discusses about the key issues, problems and the
new challenges being face by govt and masses of the Pakistan. Education is a foundation of socio
economic development. Which means the development of
those people having the same social, economic, or educational status? The role of education is
very important in economic development. The education sector of Pakistan is not giving
admirable output. There are Old curriculum, no good training of teachers and lake of basic
facilities in school.
There is no serious public interest in educational sector in Pakistan and govt. is also lacking of
funds etc in this sector due to that people prefer to go abroad for higher education and for jobs.
The downfall of Primary and secondary education is started. There is no scientific and technical
knowledge is given in mentioned levels.
There is very less enrollments in primary and secondary education which causes the low literacy
rates. The literacy rates in urban area of punjab and sindh is good.
The quality education in Pakistan among other countries is going downfall, and the reason of this
decline is no encouragement in science education, lake of technology and poor infrastructure etc.
now in Pakistan govt. is trying to bringing advancements in different fields of education such as
medical, engineering, agriculture, commerce and other sciences.
In quality education the major role is played by teachers. This is our tragedy that in primary level
we appoint teacher having ten years education and with 11 month certification. Survey
conducted which shows the result that 12 years of schooling can perform better than 10 years of
schooling.
Another tragic factor is, the quality of that certification program which are being conducted for
the training of teachers. On more unfortunate factor is political influence in hiring or
appointment of teachers in their local constituencies which push quality education in towards
declining.
Training of govt. teachers are also not good and this is the responsibility of provincial govt. to
provide up to date trainings. Many govt. teachers are on the stage of retirements and didn't got
in-service training yet.
The quality produced by private teachers is also question mark. The academic criteria for hiring
teachers in private schools are very low which is ten or 12 years of schooling except some good
schools such as beacon house, allied schools, city schools etc.
2. In this paper quantitative dimension of quality education in Pakistan highlighted the low
enrollments, gender differences and low literacy etc by facts and figures.
There are some problems from which our country is suffering from. Teachers are very important
factor in any education system. The output of quality education from teachers are depends upon
their motivation level, how much they are qualified and confident, what are their past
experiences and what kind of training they have. These all thing affects the productivity of
teachers and quality education.
The policy makers in Pakistan are making effective policies on delivering the education. They
also making it cost effective and they are enhancing the relevant education. Bookish knowledge
is good but students may be more practical.
Research provides the solution of our problems but in Pakistan we are facing insufficient
attention towards researches that’s the reason why we are not getting the alternates and why we
are not getting the solution of our problems.
In conclusion writers mentioned that we need to pay more attention towards described issues and
challenges. By solving these problems and issues we can uplift the standards of our education
and we can also get better quality education.
