WHAT IS ECOLOGICAL SOLID
WASTE MANAGEMENT?
As stated on the Republic Act (RA) 9003 Ecological
Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, provides the
necessary policy framework, institutional mechanisms
and mandate to the local government units (LGUS) to
achieve 25% waste. reduction based on 3RS (reduce,
reuse and recycling).

a. Recycling of wastes will be done involving the faculty and
students.
b. An Eco-Learning Park/Garden will be established
c. Composting Projects (c/o CBP)
10.) Disposal and Marketing of Products
a. Disposal and Marketing shall be coordinated to the CBP
b. Disposal of e-wastes shall be coordinated to the Supply
Office.
c. Residual wastes will be stored temporarily in the TAU MRF
and weekly, it shall be disposed in Capas Sanitary Landfill thru
Camiling.
11.) Enforcement and monitoring of ESWM Policies a. Security
Force, SSC and CSC Officers, Deans, Chairs, Unit/Office Heads,
and ESWM Team are deputized to enforce and monitor..
12.) Selection of ESWM Best Implementing Unit/Office/College
a. To be selected by the Monitoring and Evaluating Team

Services Office for its commendable engagement
in supervising the University's internationalization
program and its contribution in the actualization
of TAU's mission and breakthrough goals through
the integration of Sustainable Development Goals.

TAU Ecological and Solid Waste Management Society
and its responsible officers are leading to promote
and create collaborative activities like competitions,
seminars and other environmental actions.
Otherwise, it boosts the awareness and enhances the
first hand experience of the students, therefore,
students will be able to contributes to the cleanliness
and orderliness of the environment and to the
community as well.
