Japan Bangladesh Biliteral Economic Relation
An Assignment On JAPAN BANGLADESH BILITERAL ECONOMIC RELATION
INTRODUCTION Bangladeshi Japanese relations were established in February 1972. Japan is
Bangladesh s 11th largest export market; imports from Bangladesh make up 26% of all Japanese
imports from the least developed countries, second only to those from Cambodia. Common imports
from Bangladesh to Japan include leather goods, ready made garments, and shrimp. By 2004, Japan
had become Bangladesh s fourth largest source of foreign direct investment, behind the, United
Kingdom, and Malaysia. Japan s political goals in its relationship with Bangladesh include gaining
support for their bid to join the United Nations Security Council, and securing markets for their
finished goods.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Japan was among the countries that recognized Bangladesh soon after the independence and
established diplomatic relations on 10 February 1972. Early that year both countries opened
Embassies in each other s capital. The first ever highest level visit from Bangladesh was
undertaken by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1973, as the Prime Minister of a free
and independent Bangladesh. Since then our two countries relations have developed steadily and
satisfactorily and never looked back. Bangladesh and Japan have shared views on many key
international issues and closely worked for promoting global peace and stability. Both our
countries have important contributions in the UN peace keeping operations. Bangladesh supports
Japan s permanent membership in UN Security Council and appreciates its role as an observer of
SAARC that anchors it to the region as a bona fide partner. The relations with Japan are of priority
for us and both countries are already engaged to exploit the high potentials for further deepening
and widening cooperation. Japan Bangladesh Parliamentary League actively promotes mutual
friendship between the two countries. H.E. Mr. Taro Aso, the incumbent Prime Minister of Japan,
assumed the office of the President of the parliamentary body last year reflecting the confidence of
Japan in Bangladesh s potentials. Bangladesh is deeply appreciative of the Government and the

Enter Hypocrites, Phone Geeks
Prelude...
Ever since a young age, I have been astounded by the lack of sincerity and common since that
others lack. With technology growing rapidly each day, people have evolved into lazy, ignorant,
lackadaisical human beings. As I have grown into a young adult in modern society, I have
experienced multiple events that have made me want to pull my hair out. It doesn t take much to
get under my skin, but some of these events are excruciating and would annoy any other person
with a common since. Hypocrites, phone geeks, and other persons are what annoy me worse. I
have always wondered how somebody can act in such of these ways without receiving any kind of
punishment or ill treatment. It wasn t long until all of these questions I had been ... Show more

I felt the wind rapidly pick up and I felt the temperature go up vastly as we approached the final
gate. Enter Hypocrites. This sign said. My body began to fuel with hatred and numerous
emotions. There is nothing on this life I despise more then people who do what they say they are
against. As we entered the final gate, I was highly amused at what was before me. The people in
this circle had the body of a bull, and a human head with their mouths sewn shut. They galloped
around in a pit with very little space and they were covered in feces. I figured the mouths were
seen shut because of how these people wasted their words and lied all throughout their lives.
They had the body of a bull, well, because they were full of bull shit obviously. Of all of the
famous people I witnessed in this circle, none stuck out to me more than Henry David Thoreau.
Thoreau s reputation is remembered as one who was a great environmentalist in our world we
live in, but down here it is a completely different story. When he was alive, he criticized people
were disrespecting nature. He once set fire to a forest, nearly burning half of it down. To make
matters worse, he worked in a pencil factory which required logging and trees to be cut down.
He also claimed to be a self reliant human being, where this was completely false. He lived on
land owned by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and his mother did his own laundry. I was highly amused to
see his bull shit finally come full

Essay on Challenger
On January 26, 1986, one of the greatest disasters of our time occurred. When Challenger was
destroyed many questions were asked about the safety of space missions. Many questions were
asked about the credibility of the engineers who designed the air craft.
It is now know that crucial information about the faulty O rings was know to many if not all of the
engineers. These engineers had many moral decisions they had to face when the problem was first
noticed, which was as early as
November 1981.
When a shuttle is launched their are two booster rockets attached to the side of it that disconnect
when the shuttle gets into orbit. The rockets that were on the Challenger were manufactured by
Morton Thiokol, an engineering

The night before the scheduled launch of Challenger, a teleconference was held between engineers
and management from the Kennedy
Space Center, Marshal Space Flight Center in Alabama and Morton Thiokol in
Utah.ii Boisjoly, and Ernie Thompson another engineer from Thiokol knew this was their last
chance to stop the flight from taking off. Robert Lund, Thiokol s
Engineering Vice President showed that 53 degrees quot;was the only low temperature data
Thiokol had for the effects of cold on the operational boosters. quot;iiiBut they had no data that did
prove that it was unsafe to launch at lower temperatures.
Boisjoly and Thompson were unsuccessful in quot;blowing the whistle. quot; The next day the
Challenger took of from the Kennedy space Center; quot;a rush of cotton candy like smoke
washed over the cockpit windows, possibly accompanied by a brief burst of brilliant orange flames.
Almost simultaneously, the astronauts were crushed down in their seats by a force at least 12 times
greater than gravity. quot;iv
After the disaster Boisjoly went to his office, where he stayed and thought.
Some of his colleagues came in to see how he was doing but he could not even speak, he was so
over come with emotion. Their were many factors that effected neglecting the O rings. For one
NASA had a billion dollar contract with Thiokol before the disaster and Thiokol felt that causing
any problems by expressing

Ethnic Studies
Race has no biological meaning. There is only one human race; there are no subspecies, no single
defining characteristic, traits, or even gene, separates one race from another. Instead of being a
biological concept, race is a social construct, and a relatively modern one at that. It was created to
give light skinned Europeans an advantage by making the white racesuperior and all others inferior.
Throughout its history, the concept of racehas served this purpose well. Ancient civilizations,
although they practiced slavery, did not classify people based on race, but on other characteristics,
such as religion and status. The concept of race first developed in the 18th century, as a way for
slaveholders to justify slavery and secure... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They were stereotyped as plodding, degraded, and servile people indeed, virtual slaves, and were
treated as virtual slaves also, (Chan). After slavery was abolished, white landowners wanted
Asians to immigrate to America because, as one of them said, emancipation has spoiled the
negro, and carried him away from the fields of agriculture... we therefore say let the coolies
come, (McFerson). Later, while working on the railroads, they were paid far less than the
unskilled white workers, no matter what job they held. They were viewed as perpetual foreigners
and their opponents used Asians alleged inability to become real Americans as an excuse to
exclude them and to deny them participation in American political and social life, (Chan). In fact,
they could not become real Americans because they were not allowed citizenship until the 1940s
and 1950s. In the 20th century, there was confusion as to whether Asian Americans should be
considered akin to blacks or whites. Earlier generations had entered the country as a replacement
for black slaves, but during segregation, many Asians were allowed to attend white schools,
theaters, and restaurants. They were not, however, allowed to live in white neighborhoods and
when the matter was pressed, they were grouped with blacks. In the 1960s, in the midst of the Civil
Rights movement, they were given the status of a model minority to make blacks seem inferior and
to confer honorary whiteness on Asians. In Hawaii,

Essay on Censorship and Freedom of Speech
Censorship may be protection from inappropriate materials, but it also limits free speech. For the
limitation of free speech, it is reasonable why people are emphatically against censorship. It is
understood that there is a need to filter some of the materials released in today s society, but too
much is being done by people who have no right meddling with everyone s rights. Civilization has
always been plagued by a never ending battle being fought over what is deemed right and wrong. In
today s culture, censorshipoppresses everything in the media. From movies and music to television
and even news stories, most of the content viewed today has been filtered one way or another.

Today, censorship is in place in more ways than you can imagine. As mentioned previously,
movies, music, television, and more are filtered one way or another. Some people go to such
lengths as illegal means of spreading materials deemed inappropriate for a certain viewing
audience. When the United States was established, the first amendment guaranteed the rights to
free speech and free press. However, it has never been interpreted to mean that all forms of
expression are legal (Zorea). The common misconception is that people believe that all forms of
expression are legal, but that has never been the case, and probably never will be. Intellectual
freedom is important because it allows people to express their ideas or beliefs however they feel
is appropriate (Intellectual Freedom Manual). With censorship, that freedom is stifled and
breaches the right everyone has for that intellectual freedom. Also affecting that freedom is the
influence that outside sources can have on your own thoughts and actions. People tend to rely
more on television and other electronic media to give them false ideas or impressions. Currently,
censorship in music is possibly the most relevant form of censorship. One of the more disturbing
signs of censorship in music is a condition nearly snuck into the USA PATRIOT Act that would
allow the government to hack private citizens computers to delete what they consider to be illegal
MP3 song files (Blecha 179).

Research Paper On Krill
Krill, also known as pink gold, are tiny zooplankton that are found in the ocean. These small
creatures have been living in the worlds oceans for many centuries. However, it is very difficult
to answer when exactly the krill species was discovered because of the fact that krill have no fossil
record. Instead, scientist compared the rDNA of krillto rDNA of krill ansestors. The estimated
discovery of krill is about one hundred and thirty million years ago (Jarman par. 1). Krill are tiny
shrimp like creatures that range from eight to sixty millimeters or two and a half inches. They
have gills located on swimming legs and other legs that are used for feeding. Krill have huge black

However, Barbara Swanson an attending physician in the Division of Infectious Disease of the
John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, conducted a study that uses krill oil for
HIV related inflammation. Krill oil has anti inflammatory omega 3 fatty acids that could
possibly be used as an anti inflammatory. The main reason behind Dr. Swanson s research was to
research krill oil and how it would reduce soluble inflammatory mediators in patients with an
HIV infection (Swanson par. 4). One problem that Dr. Swanson encountered during her study was
that of all the studies done on chronic inflammation, there has never been a study that included
patients with HIV chronic inflammation. Dr. Swanson fixed this problem with changing her
main purpose in the study. She has two main points of her study. The first point was to focus on
the safety of the krill oil Dr. Swanson s study included randomly selecting ten participants out of

The picture consists of chicken fingers, Cane s signature sauce, and coleslaw. In the background
of the picture you can see a piece of toast and on the side you can see the fries, but the main focus
is the chicken, sauce, and coleslaw. The reason for this is that those are the most popular items,
which is what they are trying to promote. One can tell this because the toast and fries are hard to
see because they are faded out of the picture, and the chicken, sauce, and coleslaw are in the front
and are more prominent. This picture is used to show the customers what they want them to see.
The chicken fingers are primarily what they are known for, which explains why they would have
the chicken as the most seen item. Along with the chicken, they are also widely known for the
secret signature Cane s sauce. You can tell that the sauce is just as important because it s right in
the middle of the picture. Lastly, they show the coleslaw because they want people to see that they
do have an item that is healthy. The other items are in the back and are harder to see because they
want to show people the items that they think are the most

Analysis Of The Book The Broken Nose
Guanyu Chen TA: Lindsay Broken but attractive I spent a lot of time wandering in Art History
Museum trying to decide on an artwork to expand on a paper but the wandering seemed
effortless because every one of them could light up my curiosity. In the end I chose a sculpture
of a man with a broken nose because though it didn t impress me as much as other artworks did
with its beauty, it was unique in the way that it is not perfect. This broken nose belongs to St.
Christopher, who is considered the patron saint of travel for once carrying the young Jesus
across a river. Based on my observation, it is hard to tell whether the broken is caused by human
or accident, but I can safely conclude that St. Christopher is damaged in many different ways.
The left front part of the broken nose seems to be chopped off by a hard object( could be a knife
or stone). The broken part could also result from the whole sculpture falling on its face and the
nose heavily bumping into a hard ground. But I would doubt that because due to the dimension
of this sculpture, the beard would also touch the ground if the nose were to but the beard has
shown little sign of serious damage. Besides the broken nose, another obvious broken part of St.
Christopher is the hand of his right arm. The hand is completely chopped off from the wrist so all
we can see at the end of the arm is a column of clothes that covers the arm. We can say someone did
this intentionally because it is precisely the hand that

protecting yourself from obesity by buying specific nail polish. Another reason is knowing that
candles can hurt you. Finally you may find through your everyday Methane Camera there is
methane rising from Sweden s lakes. One Reason why having a knowledge of chemistryis important
in everyday life is to know what you are putting on your nails. In the article Problem Polish by

how candles aren t very romantic when you wake up with cancer after having your nerves being

A third reason why having a knowledge of chemistry is important in everyday life is knowing
what chemicals do such as methane gas and where they come from. In the article Methane

methane, a gas that s invisible to the naked eye. Methane acts as a powerful greenhouse gas,

The Movie Crash By Paul Higgins
In the film, Crash by Paul Higgins there is the incorporation of numerous perspectives and
theories of societal issues. The film brought up various issues we face in our world today such
as racial discrimination, stereotyping, and prejudice etc. One theory that is seen is the symbolic
interaction theory. There is the usage of different symbols in the film. Each character in the film
comes from a different culture; socioeconomic background etc. and they each have their own
story. There are many hidden messages in the film through the usage of symbols. The title of the
film is Crash which can be interpreted in many different ways. In the beginning of the film, I
believed the title to just speak about car collisions or accidents, but throughout the film you re
able to see collisions between diverse ethnic groups and socioeconomic status. There are also
many different vehicles used in the films, which could also be a symbol representing class and
wealth. Ludacris s character named Anthony stated, You don t have any idea why they put great
big windows on buses, one reason only, to humiliate the people of color riding on them. () In
Anthony s perspective, riding a bus meant that you re poor and or part of the minority population.
At the end of the film when he actually rode a bus it allowed him to see that he was wrong.
Anthony saw individuals from different cultures and statuses and understood he was wrong about

Recent studies estimate that the range for the prevalence of psychiatric disorders occurring during
pregnancy is 14 % to 30.5%.1 3 Untreated psychiatric illnesses are found to be associated with
many adverse effects both on maternal health and pregnancy outcome. There is 50% risk for
relapse of psychotic disorder during pregnancy and post partum. 4 In addition to that, unfavourable
pregnancy outcomes such as low neonatal birth weight, neonatal hypoglycemia, increasing risk for
congenital defects, and adverse neurodevelopmental effects can also occur.5 These adverse
consequences associated with unmanaged mental disorders lead many patients to remain on
pharmacological management using antipsychotics throughout pregnancy.
Antipsychotics are used to manage symptoms of psychiatric disorder such as bipolar disorder,
schizophrenia, depression, and many others by blocking type 2 dopamine receptor (D2) in the
dopamine pathway of the brain.6 There are two main types of antipsychotics; typical antipsychotics
and atypical antipsychotics, which is also known

Julius Caesar And Brutus Tragic Hero Analysis
A tragic hero tries to do the right thing but has flaws in their character that prevents them from
being a true hero. Scholars argue over whether Brutus or Caesar is the tragic hero in the play
Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. Both men have tragic flaws which cause their
downfall. They are both ambitious. Caesar wanted all the power to himself. On the contrary, Brutus
wanted what was best for Rome and to keep a good reputation. Brutus is the tragic heroof the play
since he falls the farthest due to the fact that he is too trusting of everyone, he naively allows his
enemy to speak out about him, and he lacks self confidence. To begin with, Brutus is too trusting
of those around him. Brutus s friend Cassius recognizes that Brutus is driven by what is best for
Rome. Because of this Cassius devises a plan to plant a fake petition from the people of Rome
stating that Caesar needs to be executed. Brutus never even questions that the petition is real. After
reading the petition Brutus response is:
Am I entreated
To speak and strike? O Rome, I make thee promise,
If the redress will follow, thou receivest
Thy full petition at the hand of Brutus! (Shakespeare 2.1.55 58)
Brutus agrees to do whatever it takes to help Rome receive justice, even if it means to use
violence against his friend. Lastly, due to Brutus killing Caesar, war broke out in Rome. Brutus
is creating more chaos for Rome than Caesar is. He is naive and thinks he is doing what is best
for Rome, but really ends up hurting Rome. A true hero would have been sceptical about the
petition before making decisions about it. Since Brutus is too trusting he did not think twice about
the petition which ultimately, leads to his downfall. Another example of Brutus as the tragic hero
is his naivety. He foolishly allows his enemy to speak at Caesar s funeral. After Caesar s death the
funeral is planned for all of Rome to attend. Brutus allows Mark Antony, Caesar s right hand man,
to speak at the funeral. This allows Mark Antony to turn the crowd against Brutus. Mark Antony
makes Brutus look like the bad guy by saying: If Brutus so unkindly knocked, or no. For Brutus, as
you know, was Caesar s angel. Judge, O you gods, how dearly Caesar loved him! This was

The Plastic Pink Flamingo, By Jennifer Price
In American society, wealth has played a particularly significant role in shaping the culture and
standards set for our country. With every dilemma that has occurred, money was been an
underlying deciding factor in the end. John.F.Kennedy makes this very clear in his statement on
lowering the prices of steel, all the way Jennifer Price s take on people being obsessed with a
money, even Scott Russell s article on the status quo Americans believe determines one s happiness
and success. All of these passages tie together to show just how money influences our very own
society.
In John.F.Kennedy s commentary on the prices of steel, he asserts his point with a very invective,
serious tone but as the commentary progresses, he then switched to a more neutral, sincere choice
of words. He continues on to say that increasing steel prices by some 6 ... Show more content on

The Self Standards Model Of Dissonance
The self standards model of dissonance seeks to bring together a groups of prior explanations for
the phenonon of cognitive dissonce. Describe Stone and Cooper s model of cognitive dissonance
and explain how it contrasts with previous models. Present and critically evaluate for and against
the self standards model as an explanttion of dissonance. Disscuss the way in which we could use
the self standards model to explain contrempory Australian attitudes to climate change.
The phenomenon of cognitive dissonance is recognised as a feeling of discomfort, initially aroused
by two inconsistent cognitions created by performing an action that contradict ones typically self
concept (Aronson, Wilson, Akert, 2010). The drive to view ourselves as... Show more content on

Third, that majority of people will be motivated to reduce dissonance though self justification and

Australia s attitudes towards Global Warming.
The Self Standard Model
The SSM seeks to bring together prior explanations for the phenomenon on cognitive dissonance.
The SSM attempts to integrate the various perspectives by first recognizing the assessment of
behaviour is flexible and influenced by the behavioural environment (Stone, 2003). The SSM was
proposed to synthesize the major contemporary cognitive dissonance theories proposed around the
assumption that the role of the self in arousal and reduction is a function of self attribution, made
assessable through discrepant behaviour (Stone Cooper, 2001). The SSM provides that self esteem
motivates individuals to uphold normative standards of behaviour. Applying SSM provides a
comprehensive model of how and why cognitions about the self influence the dissonance process
(Stone Cooper, 2001).
The first element of SSM assumes that self attributions operate as expectancy, causing more
dissonance in those with higher self esteem (Stone Cooper, 2001). It is emphasised in the SSM that

Frankenstein And Dolly s Monster Comparison
The Ewe and the Monster If you heard there are quite a few similarities between Frankenstein s
monster and a normal looking sheep, would you be surprised? Shocking or not, it is true. The
connection between the two is a scientific subject: animal cloning. The dawn of the process of
splitting and recreating cells began more than 50 years ago, but more recently a sheep named Dolly
was born that brought many things to light in this side of science. Although Dolly the Sheep was
born from a cloned cell instead of pieced together body parts, she and Frankensteins monster are
reminiscent of each other by their controversial, odd births and critical impacts left on the world.

Arguments have been unearthed as well, but opposing views aid in the realization and continued

Improving The Standard And Effectiveness Of Education
ABSTRACT
Over the years, educators have laid emphasis on understanding factors that contribute to improving
the standard and effectiveness of education in impoverished neighborhoods. A lot of studies have
aimed to ascertain the benefits that various safety network programs have for at risk children living
in poverty stricken areas of the country. This paper seeks to highlight the host of elements that have
a positive bearing on the academic outcome of children belonging to the poverty stricken counties
in the state of Ohio. The research will employ a qualitative method design and involve using semi
structured interviews, observations and archival data to explore the teaching methodologies and
administrative measures that play a role in improving the effectiveness of schools in areas affected
by poverty.
The paper is designed to provide insight regarding the adverse effects that poverty has on education
and what could be done to remedy the situation, by addressing three distinct research questions.
Firstly it asks the question about what factors have a detrimental impact on the educational outcome
of high poverty states in the country. Secondly it seeks to determine how such factors serve as
barriers in the way of development for children belonging to less affluent families. Lastly, the paper
looks into that question of what administrative measures can be taken in order to effect a positive
change in the educational outcomes of children belonging to less affluent counties in

Quality, Process, And Location Analysis Essay
Quality, Process, and Location Analysis
Without success there is no business. The goal for any organization is be successful. In order to be
a successful business, it is essential to explore the use of process management functions within the
operations management (OM) processes. Nissan, like most companies, has had their high and low
moments. Fortunately, they have been able to explore the use of process management functions to
help reach their goals and keep their business successful. Nissan has used the five steps associated
with Theory of Constraints (TOC ) and Total Quality Management (TQM) tools to help improve
quality overall within the business. Nissan has also been able to analyze data through cause and
effect diagrams, time function maps, and weighted averages to incorporate OM functions such as
new products and future expansions.
Theory of Constraints (TOC) is a group of data that deals with something that may limit or
constrain a business s ability to achieve their goals (Linton, 2016). TOC is the idea that the
weakest link will be the strongest you can be and when you improve the weakest link you will
improve the process overall. The key to improving the constraint or the weakest link is to be able to
recognize and manage those limitations with the five steps of TOC (Linton, 2016). The first step of
TOC is to identify the constraints. Nissan would need to identify its constraint, which is the
bottleneck in their production line. Step two

Sophists
Sophists have been perpetuated in the history of philosophy primarily due to their most fierce
critic Plato and his Gorgias, where Socrates brings profound accusations against the practice of
sophists and declares notoriously rhetoric to be a part of flattery (ОєОїО»О±ОєОµОЇО±, 463c).
This paper focuses on the responses to sophists practices by Platoand Aristotle, analysing on the one
hand criticism made on their practice, on the other, however, trying to evaluate in which respect the
responses of the two philosophers differ. Thus, taking the polemic of sophists as a starting point, the
paper moves forward into discussing the fundamental differences in the treatment of rhetoricas
perceived by Plato and Aristotle. For this reason (and in order... Show more content on

Altogether it seems that Aristotle s basic criticism towards sophists is quite similar to Plato s in his
Phaedrus. Namely, the main focus of Aristotle s censure is circling around the claim that previous
theoreticians of rhetoric put emphasis on something quite corollary in nature and secondary to the
importance of rhetoric. So, according to Aristotle, the contemporary rhetoric handbooks discuss
mainly two aspects of a speech: how many different parts a speech has to have (1.1.9, 3.13.1), and
how to arise the emotions of the audience (1.1.4). In both cases, however, rhetoricians are in fact
discussing something non essential to rhetoric and thus engage themselves with matters outside the
subject (1.1.3 ff). Also, because of focusing on these two aspects only, Aristotle argues that the
former practitioners have inclined to the forensic branch of oratory (1.1.12), since there the effect
is easier to achieve, due to the disinterest of the dicasts (1.1.10). Yet, at times it seems as if
Aristotle s real criticism for such rhetoric is targeted on the state and its laws rather than to the
contemporary sophists (1.1.4 ff).
Although Aristotle considers the two previously mentioned occupations of the contemporary
rhetorician not entirely out of

The Problem Of Deaf Culture
Deaf culture is a way to start this essay. Most people, when they think of deafness, assume that it
is nothing more than a disability. This is erroneous because defining what deaf really means,
means looking past the definition and looking into the heart of a deaf person, to see equality
among us all. Equality among humans isn t controversial, but what is? Cochlear Implantation is
controversial. Inserting an internal disruption of the deaf culture is controversial. Placing an
electronic device in your children s ears because you want them to talk like a normal child is
controversial. After having a very rigorous debate about CI s in my ASL class, I came to the
conclusion that out of 30 students, more than half of them would choose implantation of their
young fragile, pure child. Being deaf is way more than just being able to hear, being deaf is a
gift; a family within a family, and implanting a child a child under your circumstances only shreds
the wrapping paper off that gift. Lets jump right into the positive facts of cochlear implants,
because there isn t many. in a very descriptive and informational article by Ron Kotulak, he
mentions that, The implant significantly improve the hearing of adults in conjunction with speech
reading. Benefits have also been observed in children as young as two. So, it is an unbiased fact
that, in some cases, Cochlear Implantation is highly effective and serves as a great purpose for the
treatment of hearing loss. The FDA, Food and

Diesel Engine
The Diesel Engine
Diesel engines are very similar to the gasoline engine you may find in a car. They both are internal
combustion engines, have a four stroke cycle, and convert chemical energy from fuel into
mechanical energy. However, the manner in which the combustion stroke is attained sets these two
engines apart, and although a seemingly meaningless change, a large change in efficiency results.
(Diesel Engines vs. Gasoline Engines) The diesel engine was invented by Rudolf Diesel in 1892.
He learned about the extreme inefficiency of the gasoline engine and worked to produce something
more practical. (Introduction to How Diesel Engines Work) The majority of diesel engines use a
four stroke process. The strokes are intake, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first way that this problem was solved was through glow plugs. These are simply electrically
heated coils that warm the engine in the early moments of ignition. These are rarely used anymore,
and with recent technology, sensors monitor every cycle of the engine. If a sensor detects the
engine is too cold, it will wait longer to inject the fuel. This allows a slightly higher compression
which yields the higher temperature needed for combustion. (Diesel Fuel Injection) A problem of the
diesel engine is the fuel injector. It must be designed to withstand the extreme temperatures and
pressures inside the cylinder, all the while injecting a fine mist of fuel. Ensuring that the misted
fuel circulates in the chamber and combusts uniformly is a difficult task as well. Some engines
use special valves, pre combustion chambers, and other devices to swirl the air to improve the
efficiency of the combustion step. (Diesel Fuel Injection) Diesel fuel is different from gasoline.
It is heavier and oilier because it is less refined than gasoline, which actually makes it cheaper to
produce. It has a higher energy density than gasoline as well, which means per gallon of gasoline,
more power can be released. This, accompanied with the higher compression ratio in diesel engines,
produces higher fuel economy than similar sized gasoline engines. (Diesel Fuel)

Application Of Property Theories Of The Beacon Hill
II. Application of Property Theories
A.Utilitarianism
The Utilitarian theory of property seeks to maximize the population s utility when a property
decision is made, the greatest good for the greatest amount of people. To apply this theory, one
must define and aggregate a measure of utility comparable for all people in a cost benefit analysis.
A popular measure of utility, under the welfarist economics utilitarian view, is utilizing the price a
person is willing to pay for a good or service as the value to be aggregated in the cost benefit
analysis. However, a strict welfarist utilitarian analysis will not work in this instance because

Price seems to be the best measure for utility as almost anything can be commodified and priced by
members of the population. Furthermore, other economic measures, such as how a decision
increases a person s wealth, will not reach the full population affected by this decision, as some
parties, like tourists, do not have their wealth increased by such a public property decision.
Determining the value that individuals place on the current handicapped ramps and surrounding
sidewalks in Beacon Hill, necessitates looking into the different groups of interested individuals
affected by the Beacon Hill handicapped ramp decision.
Individuals with disabilities that require accessible handicapped ramps pose a problem for
determining the values that these individuals would give the Beacon Hill handicapped ramp and
surrounding sidewalks. Beacon Hill serves many different functions for people. For those
persons with disabilities who live on Beacon Hill, updated handicapped ramps could mean the
difference having access to their homes or having to move. For this group it is easy to determine
a value for this analysis, as the price they are willing to pay to live in the area. Beacon Hill is
populated with various government offices and private businesses, therefore a cost benefit analysis
must factor in the value that individuals

Love those beautiful, eye catching lilies, but can t figure out how to get rid of pollen stains?
Lilies are exotic flowers, beautiful in appearance and will delight you with their fragrance and
colours, yet their pollen can stain everything from carpets and clothes to household surfaces all
too easily. The colour in the pollen is made up of a range of pigments. Pigments are responsible
for many of the beautiful, vibrant colours we see in plants. The yellow and orange carotenoids

Juvenile Delinquents In The Twentieth Century
According to Bartollas and Schmalleger (2014), Sigmund Freud, the most famous psychologist of
the twentieth century, developed his now famous psychoanalytic theory, which contributed three
insights that shaped the handling of juvenile delinquents throughout much of the last century, (pp.
62 63). Freud s model describes personality as a dynamic system guided by three psychological
structures: the id, the ego, and the superego. The theory of the atavistic criminal, being born
criminal, existed in certain individuals. This mannerism would periodically reappear and lead to
crime, because of the primitive impulses that they were likely to possess, (Bartollas Schmalleger,
2014, p.58). Freud once stated, Where id is, there shall ego be (NotableQuotes, n.d, p. 1)
According to Freud, most behavior involves activity of all three structures. The id the most
primitive of the three structures, is concerned with instant gratification of basic physical needs and
urges (Boundless, n.d. p.1). The id acts as a control source for the entire psyche or personality and
is unconscious. The tension related to sex and aggressions are released through the... Show more

The Ice Hotel And The Travelodge
Introduction
For a long time researchers are trying to find the perfect recipe for success, however it is very
hard to predict the response of the market to a new product and its adaptation to the environment.
The Ice Hotel and the Travelodge are two ventures established in the end of 20th century both in
the travel and hospitality sector but each one with its own unique business strategy. In evaluation
of their success the decisions made throughout the development of the above mentioned ventures
can be categorized as effectual and causal, as explained by Sarasvathy (2010). G.Sanvikarja
suggests that causational logic is more rational and based on prediction where as the effectual
strategy is more creative and is control orientated. Each of these approaches implies different
strategies and reasoning behind both individual decisions and responsiveness to the environment.
Furthermore, most enterprises follow a set of common principles that are key for building a
business strategy including defining means, setting affordable loss, leveraging contingencies and
forming partnerships (S. et. al, 2010). These four aspects are crucial for understanding how is a
business created and what is its approach. However, it should be noted that most of the businesses
are not strictly effectual or causal, rather a mixture of both with a tilt towards one. Every business
is individual and should be treated like one. This paper will examine the business strategies behind

Robert Rogers is one of the most influential figures in military history and tactics. The lessons he
passed on are still studied today by the United States Army Rangers, and every Ranger must
memorize his Standing Orders. The tactics he used are now what the modern public and historians

Captain in the provincial army. The story was again laid out for the reader as if in a novel, this

classroom by asking the students to create a description of Rogers from different parts of the
book; his history, physical characteristics, his mental characteristics, and his strategies tatics. This
will allow for the reader to better picture Rogers and gain a greater understanding of the man and
his decisions. One of the many decisions he made was to attack the Abenaki at St. Francis. Roger

States. Because of this undertreatment, many patients have begun to self medicate with other
measures to alleviate their symptoms. Some turn to alcohol, some to prescription drugs, and others
to cannabisin one form or another. Some of these means are regulated more than others and some
of these cause problems in themselves. Alcohol, while highly regulated leads to many problems; it

Self-Destruction In Shakespeare s Hamlet

With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this
faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful brotherhood.
With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail
together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day. Martin Luther
King. Jr. People have been separated and treated differently for the color on the outside, but not

are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened ... It ought to to be possible, in short,

color. John F. Kennedy Leaders and other activists Were on this Civil Rights Movement together
to make a change. In the movment they all played different parts to stay organized, and to be an
effective movement. Leaders was dealing with all the politics while the others make plans if
they do or don t allow their movement, then they come together and become this powerful stand.
People may disagree and see that one did more than the other and was more important in the
movement, but in reality, how would the the sit ins and the march happen without the people
actually standing up and risking their lives. Also how would have the Little Rock Nine be able
to integrate Central High and get proper education by themselves, but they couldn t and never
would been able to if it wasn t for Thurgood Marshall. People still like to put labels, people and

The Pros And Cons Of Technology
It s no secret that technology consumes our daily lives. From dawn till dusk we rely on a form of
technology for just about everything. It s obvious to see that the whole purpose of the
advancements in technology every year is to help make our lives easier. Science fiction uses
technology to examine the many possibilities of new technology. Often times a form of technology
appears first in a science fictionstory but then becomes reality shortly after. For example, space
travel was first seen many years before the first space ship left earth to explore the great
unknown. Also, in many science fiction stories we see technology that is already known but
where the author advances it to make it more futuristic. It s almost scary to see how much
technology has advanced in just the last 20 30 years. When I was a kid I remember, my parents
having these cell phones that looked like bricks and all you could do was call someone. Today
cell phones have a slim, less bulky look and you can do just about anything on them. This is mainly
because of the most known and commonly used form of technology, the internet. We see the
internet changing our daily lives each day. People use it for their jobs, shopping, social media,
video games, watching television and just about anything you can think of. So, the question is, do
the different forms of advancing technology help us or do they consume us?
When choosing a contemporary issue, it was a no brainer that technology was the one I wanted to

  • 2. Japan Bangladesh Biliteral Economic Relation An Assignment On JAPAN BANGLADESH BILITERAL ECONOMIC RELATION INTRODUCTION Bangladeshi Japanese relations were established in February 1972. Japan is Bangladesh s 11th largest export market; imports from Bangladesh make up 26% of all Japanese imports from the least developed countries, second only to those from Cambodia. Common imports from Bangladesh to Japan include leather goods, ready made garments, and shrimp. By 2004, Japan had become Bangladesh s fourth largest source of foreign direct investment, behind the, United Kingdom, and Malaysia. Japan s political goals in its relationship with Bangladesh include gaining support for their bid to join the United Nations Security Council, and securing markets for their finished goods.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Japan was among the countries that recognized Bangladesh soon after the independence and established diplomatic relations on 10 February 1972. Early that year both countries opened Embassies in each other s capital. The first ever highest level visit from Bangladesh was undertaken by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1973, as the Prime Minister of a free and independent Bangladesh. Since then our two countries relations have developed steadily and satisfactorily and never looked back. Bangladesh and Japan have shared views on many key international issues and closely worked for promoting global peace and stability. Both our countries have important contributions in the UN peace keeping operations. Bangladesh supports Japan s permanent membership in UN Security Council and appreciates its role as an observer of SAARC that anchors it to the region as a bona fide partner. The relations with Japan are of priority for us and both countries are already engaged to exploit the high potentials for further deepening and widening cooperation. Japan Bangladesh Parliamentary League actively promotes mutual friendship between the two countries. H.E. Mr. Taro Aso, the incumbent Prime Minister of Japan, assumed the office of the President of the parliamentary body last year reflecting the confidence of Japan in Bangladesh s potentials. • 3. Enter Hypocrites, Phone Geeks Prelude... Ever since a young age, I have been astounded by the lack of sincerity and common since that others lack. With technology growing rapidly each day, people have evolved into lazy, ignorant, lackadaisical human beings. As I have grown into a young adult in modern society, I have experienced multiple events that have made me want to pull my hair out. It doesn t take much to get under my skin, but some of these events are excruciating and would annoy any other person with a common since. Hypocrites, phone geeks, and other persons are what annoy me worse. I have always wondered how somebody can act in such of these ways without receiving any kind of punishment or ill treatment. It wasn t long until all of these questions I had been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I felt the wind rapidly pick up and I felt the temperature go up vastly as we approached the final gate. Enter Hypocrites. This sign said. My body began to fuel with hatred and numerous emotions. There is nothing on this life I despise more then people who do what they say they are against. As we entered the final gate, I was highly amused at what was before me. The people in this circle had the body of a bull, and a human head with their mouths sewn shut. They galloped around in a pit with very little space and they were covered in feces. I figured the mouths were seen shut because of how these people wasted their words and lied all throughout their lives. They had the body of a bull, well, because they were full of bull shit obviously. Of all of the famous people I witnessed in this circle, none stuck out to me more than Henry David Thoreau. Thoreau s reputation is remembered as one who was a great environmentalist in our world we live in, but down here it is a completely different story. When he was alive, he criticized people were disrespecting nature. He once set fire to a forest, nearly burning half of it down. To make matters worse, he worked in a pencil factory which required logging and trees to be cut down. He also claimed to be a self reliant human being, where this was completely false. He lived on land owned by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and his mother did his own laundry. I was highly amused to see his bull shit finally come full ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Essay on Challenger On January 26, 1986, one of the greatest disasters of our time occurred. When Challenger was destroyed many questions were asked about the safety of space missions. Many questions were asked about the credibility of the engineers who designed the air craft. It is now know that crucial information about the faulty O rings was know to many if not all of the engineers. These engineers had many moral decisions they had to face when the problem was first noticed, which was as early as November 1981. When a shuttle is launched their are two booster rockets attached to the side of it that disconnect when the shuttle gets into orbit. The rockets that were on the Challenger were manufactured by Morton Thiokol, an engineering company. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The night before the scheduled launch of Challenger, a teleconference was held between engineers and management from the Kennedy Space Center, Marshal Space Flight Center in Alabama and Morton Thiokol in Utah.ii Boisjoly, and Ernie Thompson another engineer from Thiokol knew this was their last chance to stop the flight from taking off. Robert Lund, Thiokol s Engineering Vice President showed that 53 degrees quot;was the only low temperature data Thiokol had for the effects of cold on the operational boosters. quot;iiiBut they had no data that did prove that it was unsafe to launch at lower temperatures. Boisjoly and Thompson were unsuccessful in quot;blowing the whistle. quot; The next day the Challenger took of from the Kennedy space Center; quot;a rush of cotton candy like smoke washed over the cockpit windows, possibly accompanied by a brief burst of brilliant orange flames. Almost simultaneously, the astronauts were crushed down in their seats by a force at least 12 times greater than gravity. quot;iv After the disaster Boisjoly went to his office, where he stayed and thought. Some of his colleagues came in to see how he was doing but he could not even speak, he was so over come with emotion. Their were many factors that effected neglecting the O rings. For one NASA had a billion dollar contract with Thiokol before the disaster and Thiokol felt that causing any problems by expressing Boisjolys concern ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Ethnic Studies Race has no biological meaning. There is only one human race; there are no subspecies, no single defining characteristic, traits, or even gene, separates one race from another. Instead of being a biological concept, race is a social construct, and a relatively modern one at that. It was created to give light skinned Europeans an advantage by making the white racesuperior and all others inferior. Throughout its history, the concept of racehas served this purpose well. Ancient civilizations, although they practiced slavery, did not classify people based on race, but on other characteristics, such as religion and status. The concept of race first developed in the 18th century, as a way for slaveholders to justify slavery and secure... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They were stereotyped as plodding, degraded, and servile people indeed, virtual slaves, and were treated as virtual slaves also, (Chan). After slavery was abolished, white landowners wanted Asians to immigrate to America because, as one of them said, emancipation has spoiled the negro, and carried him away from the fields of agriculture... we therefore say let the coolies come, (McFerson). Later, while working on the railroads, they were paid far less than the unskilled white workers, no matter what job they held. They were viewed as perpetual foreigners and their opponents used Asians alleged inability to become real Americans as an excuse to exclude them and to deny them participation in American political and social life, (Chan). In fact, they could not become real Americans because they were not allowed citizenship until the 1940s and 1950s. In the 20th century, there was confusion as to whether Asian Americans should be considered akin to blacks or whites. Earlier generations had entered the country as a replacement for black slaves, but during segregation, many Asians were allowed to attend white schools, theaters, and restaurants. They were not, however, allowed to live in white neighborhoods and when the matter was pressed, they were grouped with blacks. In the 1960s, in the midst of the Civil Rights movement, they were given the status of a model minority to make blacks seem inferior and to confer honorary whiteness on Asians. In Hawaii, ... • 6. Essay on Censorship and Freedom of Speech Censorship may be protection from inappropriate materials, but it also limits free speech. For the limitation of free speech, it is reasonable why people are emphatically against censorship. It is understood that there is a need to filter some of the materials released in today s society, but too much is being done by people who have no right meddling with everyone s rights. Civilization has always been plagued by a never ending battle being fought over what is deemed right and wrong. In today s culture, censorshipoppresses everything in the media. From movies and music to television and even news stories, most of the content viewed today has been filtered one way or another. Restrictions have been in place since early societies have been... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Today, censorship is in place in more ways than you can imagine. As mentioned previously, movies, music, television, and more are filtered one way or another. Some people go to such lengths as illegal means of spreading materials deemed inappropriate for a certain viewing audience. When the United States was established, the first amendment guaranteed the rights to free speech and free press. However, it has never been interpreted to mean that all forms of expression are legal (Zorea). The common misconception is that people believe that all forms of expression are legal, but that has never been the case, and probably never will be. Intellectual freedom is important because it allows people to express their ideas or beliefs however they feel is appropriate (Intellectual Freedom Manual). With censorship, that freedom is stifled and breaches the right everyone has for that intellectual freedom. Also affecting that freedom is the influence that outside sources can have on your own thoughts and actions. People tend to rely more on television and other electronic media to give them false ideas or impressions. Currently, censorship in music is possibly the most relevant form of censorship. One of the more disturbing signs of censorship in music is a condition nearly snuck into the USA PATRIOT Act that would allow the government to hack private citizens computers to delete what they consider to be illegal MP3 song files (Blecha 179). ... However, it is very difficult to answer when exactly the krill species was discovered because of the fact that krill have no fossil record. Instead, scientist compared the rDNA of krillto rDNA of krill ansestors. The estimated discovery of krill is about one hundred and thirty million years ago (Jarman par. 1). However, Barbara Swanson an attending physician in the Division of Infectious Disease of the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, conducted a study that uses krill oil for HIV related inflammation. Krill oil has anti inflammatory omega 3 fatty acids that could possibly be used as an anti inflammatory. The main reason behind Dr. Swanson s research was to research krill oil and how it would reduce soluble inflammatory mediators in patients with an HIV infection (Swanson par. 4). One problem that Dr. Swanson encountered during her study was that of all the studies done on chronic inflammation, there has never been a study that included patients with HIV chronic inflammation. Dr. Swanson fixed this problem with changing her main purpose in the study. She has two main points of her study. The first point was to focus on the safety of the krill oil Dr. Swanson s study included randomly selecting ten participants out of the fourty that were screened. The participants of the study were divided into two categories. One category, which had eight participants, took gel caps for 12 weeks. The picture consists of chicken fingers, Cane s signature sauce, and coleslaw. In the background of the picture you can see a piece of toast and on the side you can see the fries, but the main focus is the chicken, sauce, and coleslaw. The reason for this is that those are the most popular items, which is what they are trying to promote. One can tell this because the toast and fries are hard to see because they are faded out of the picture, and the chicken, sauce, and coleslaw are in the front and are more prominent. This picture is used to show the customers what they want them to see. The chicken fingers are primarily what they are known for, which explains why they would have the chicken as the most seen item. Along with the chicken, they are also widely known for the secret signature Cane s sauce. You can tell that the sauce is just as important because it s right in the middle of the picture. • 9. Analysis Of The Book The Broken Nose Guanyu Chen TA: Lindsay Broken but attractive I spent a lot of time wandering in Art History Museum trying to decide on an artwork to expand on a paper but the wandering seemed effortless because every one of them could light up my curiosity. In the end I chose a sculpture of a man with a broken nose because though it didn t impress me as much as other artworks did with its beauty, it was unique in the way that it is not perfect. This broken nose belongs to St. Christopher, who is considered the patron saint of travel for once carrying the young Jesus across a river. Based on my observation, it is hard to tell whether the broken is caused by human or accident, but I can safely conclude that St. Christopher is damaged in many different ways. The left front part of the broken nose seems to be chopped off by a hard object( could be a knife or stone). The broken part could also result from the whole sculpture falling on its face and the nose heavily bumping into a hard ground. But I would doubt that because due to the dimension of this sculpture, the beard would also touch the ground if the nose were to but the beard has shown little sign of serious damage. Besides the broken nose, another obvious broken part of St. Christopher is the hand of his right arm. The hand is completely chopped off from the wrist so all we can see at the end of the arm is a column of clothes that covers the arm. We can say someone did this intentionally because it is precisely the hand that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Everything was fine until our sail home from Troy, where we all acted like reckless fools and all hell broke loose. We have been cursed by the gods Zeus and Poseidon and now I m afraid that this letter will be my last. On our way home to Ithaca, the winds blew us to the land of Ismarus. I was stored on wine, drunk, so drunk I can only remember the evil have done. Picking fights with the Cicones, raping innocent women, killing innocent men. • 20. Julius Caesar And Brutus Tragic Hero Analysis A tragic hero tries to do the right thing but has flaws in their character that prevents them from being a true hero. Scholars argue over whether Brutus or Caesar is the tragic hero in the play Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. Both men have tragic flaws which cause their downfall. They are both ambitious. Caesar wanted all the power to himself. On the contrary, Brutus wanted what was best for Rome and to keep a good reputation. Brutus is the tragic heroof the play since he falls the farthest due to the fact that he is too trusting of everyone, he naively allows his enemy to speak out about him, and he lacks self confidence. To begin with, Brutus is too trusting of those around him. Brutus s friend Cassius recognizes that Brutus is driven by what is best for Rome. Because of this Cassius devises a plan to plant a fake petition from the people of Rome stating that Caesar needs to be executed. Brutus never even questions that the petition is real. After reading the petition Brutus response is: Am I entreated To speak and strike? O Rome, I make thee promise, If the redress will follow, thou receivest Thy full petition at the hand of Brutus! (Shakespeare 2.1.55 58) Brutus agrees to do whatever it takes to help Rome receive justice, even if it means to use violence against his friend. Lastly, due to Brutus killing Caesar, war broke out in Rome. Brutus is creating more chaos for Rome than Caesar is. He is naive and thinks he is doing what is best for Rome, but really ends up hurting Rome. A true hero would have been sceptical about the petition before making decisions about it. Since Brutus is too trusting he did not think twice about the petition which ultimately, leads to his downfall. Another example of Brutus as the tragic hero is his naivety. He foolishly allows his enemy to speak at Caesar s funeral. After Caesar s death the funeral is planned for all of Rome to attend. Brutus allows Mark Antony, Caesar s right hand man, to speak at the funeral. This allows Mark Antony to turn the crowd against Brutus. Namely, the main focus of Aristotle s censure is circling around the claim that previous theoreticians of rhetoric put emphasis on something quite corollary in nature and secondary to the importance of rhetoric. So, according to Aristotle, the contemporary rhetoric handbooks discuss mainly two aspects of a speech: how many different parts a speech has to have (1.1.9, 3.13.1), and how to arise the emotions of the audience (1.1.4). In both cases, however, rhetoricians are in fact discussing something non essential to rhetoric and thus engage themselves with matters outside the subject (1.1.3 ff). Also, because of focusing on these two aspects only, Aristotle argues that the former practitioners have inclined to the forensic branch of oratory (1.1.12), since there the effect is easier to achieve, due to the disinterest of the dicasts (1.1.10). Yet, at times it seems as if Aristotle s real criticism for such rhetoric is targeted on the state and its laws rather than to the contemporary sophists (1.1.4 ff). This is erroneous because defining what deaf really means, means looking past the definition and looking into the heart of a deaf person, to see equality among us all. Equality among humans isn t controversial, but what is? Cochlear Implantation is controversial. Inserting an internal disruption of the deaf culture is controversial. Placing an electronic device in your children s ears because you want them to talk like a normal child is controversial. After having a very rigorous debate about CI s in my ASL class, I came to the conclusion that out of 30 students, more than half of them would choose implantation of their young fragile, pure child. Being deaf is way more than just being able to hear, being deaf is a gift; a family within a family, and implanting a child a child under your circumstances only shreds the wrapping paper off that gift. They both are internal combustion engines, have a four stroke cycle, and convert chemical energy from fuel into mechanical energy. However, the manner in which the combustion stroke is attained sets these two engines apart, and although a seemingly meaningless change, a large change in efficiency results. (Diesel Engines vs. Gasoline Engines) The diesel engine was invented by Rudolf Diesel in 1892. The first way that this problem was solved was through glow plugs. These are simply electrically heated coils that warm the engine in the early moments of ignition. These are rarely used anymore, and with recent technology, sensors monitor every cycle of the engine. If a sensor detects the engine is too cold, it will wait longer to inject the fuel. This allows a slightly higher compression which yields the higher temperature needed for combustion. (Diesel Fuel Injection) A problem of the diesel engine is the fuel injector. It must be designed to withstand the extreme temperatures and pressures inside the cylinder, all the while injecting a fine mist of fuel. Ensuring that the misted fuel circulates in the chamber and combusts uniformly is a difficult task as well. Some engines use special valves, pre combustion chambers, and other devices to swirl the air to improve the efficiency of the combustion step. (Diesel Fuel Injection) Diesel fuel is different from gasoline. It is heavier and oilier because it is less refined than gasoline, which actually makes it cheaper to produce. It has a higher energy density than gasoline as well, which means per gallon of gasoline, more power can be released. This, accompanied with the higher compression ratio in diesel engines, produces higher fuel economy than similar sized gasoline engines. (Diesel Fuel) Cited References 1. Marshall B. 2010. Juvenile Delinquents In The Twentieth Century According to Bartollas and Schmalleger (2014), Sigmund Freud, the most famous psychologist of the twentieth century, developed his now famous psychoanalytic theory, which contributed three insights that shaped the handling of juvenile delinquents throughout much of the last century, (pp. 62 63). Freud s model describes personality as a dynamic system guided by three psychological structures: the id, the ego, and the superego. The theory of the atavistic criminal, being born criminal, existed in certain individuals. This mannerism would periodically reappear and lead to crime, because of the primitive impulses that they were likely to possess, (Bartollas Schmalleger, 2014, p.58). Freud once stated, Where id is, there shall ego be (NotableQuotes, n.d, p. 1) According to Freud, most behavior involves activity of all three structures. The id the most primitive of the three structures, is concerned with instant gratification of basic physical needs and urges (Boundless, n.d. p.1). The id acts as a control source for the entire psyche or personality and is unconscious. The tension related to sex and aggressions are released through the... The Ice Hotel And The Travelodge Introduction For a long time researchers are trying to find the perfect recipe for success, however it is very hard to predict the response of the market to a new product and its adaptation to the environment. The Ice Hotel and the Travelodge are two ventures established in the end of 20th century both in the travel and hospitality sector but each one with its own unique business strategy. In evaluation of their success the decisions made throughout the development of the above mentioned ventures can be categorized as effectual and causal, as explained by Sarasvathy (2010). G.Sanvikarja suggests that causational logic is more rational and based on prediction where as the effectual strategy is more creative and is control orientated. Each of these approaches implies different strategies and reasoning behind both individual decisions and responsiveness to the environment. Furthermore, most enterprises follow a set of common principles that are key for building a business strategy including defining means, setting affordable loss, leveraging contingencies and forming partnerships (S. et. al, 2010). These four aspects are crucial for understanding how is a business created and what is its approach. However, it should be noted that most of the businesses are not strictly effectual or causal, rather a mixture of both with a tilt towards one. Every business is individual and should be treated like one. This paper will examine the business strategies behind the Ice Hotel and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It s obvious to see that the whole purpose of the advancements in technology every year is to help make our lives easier. Science fiction uses technology to examine the many possibilities of new technology. Often times a form of technology appears first in a science fictionstory but then becomes reality shortly after. For example, space travel was first seen many years before the first space ship left earth to explore the great unknown. Also, in many science fiction stories we see technology that is already known but where the author advances it to make it more futuristic. It s almost scary to see how much technology has advanced in just the last 20 30 years. When I was a kid I remember, my parents having these cell phones that looked like bricks and all you could do was call someone. We see the internet changing our daily lives each day. People use it for their jobs, shopping, social media, video games, watching television and just about anything you can think of.
