This document discusses the different types of ECG lead configurations used to record electrical activity of the heart. It describes the four main types as bipolar limb leads, augmented unipolar limb leads, chest or precordial leads, and Frank leads. Bipolar limb leads involve electrodes placed on the arms and legs in an Einthoven's triangle configuration. Augmented unipolar leads add a central terminal, while chest leads place electrodes on the chest. Color codings are also provided for the electrode placements.
