This document presents the design of a wideband direct downconversion receiver consisting of a differential common gate low-noise amplifier (LNA) and two Gilbert Cell mixers. The design achieves the specifications of operating from 2.4-5 GHz with a power consumption of 41.45 mW while meeting the requirements for input matching, conversion gain, noise figure, P1dB, and PIIP3. Theoretical analyses are presented and compared to simulation results, showing good agreement between the calculated and simulated values of input matching, conversion gain, and noise figure. References are provided for the inspiration and design of the LNA and mixers.
