Carrie Johnson provided an overview of Forrester Research's eBusiness Success research and panel. She discussed that eBusiness has been thriving for over 10 years, with many firms seeing growth in online services and budgets. However, challenges remain such as shortages in IT resources and consumer security/privacy concerns. Upcoming Forrester research will focus on optimizing online channels, capitalizing on trends, differentiating products, and tailoring to industries. Their Consumer Forum in October will include sessions on using social technologies to boost sales.
