A healthy lifestyle is actually
achievable , despite the many aspects that
covers the healthy lifestyle.
A healthy person doesn’t smoke, maintains a
healthy weight, eats healthy foods and do
sports.
• A healthy life can’t happen overnight, but it
you can make small steps every day and you
will fulfill your goal .
Foods that you should eat every day are included in
these following four groups:
1. Starchy Foods(bread, rice, macaroni, spaghetti,
corn, oatmeal, breakfast cereals)and potatoes
2. Vegetables and fruits
3. Dairy products (milk,cheese,etc.)
4. Meat, fish, beans, nuts (walnuts, almonds,
hazelnuts,etc.).
What do starchy foods provide us with ?
Starchy foods are a good source of energy and the
main source of a range of nutrients in our diet. As
well as starch, they contain fibre, calcium, iron
and B vitamins.
Some people think starchy foods are fattening,
but gram for gram they contain fewer than half
the calories of fat.
What do vegetables and fruit provide us with ?
Fruits and vegetables contain many vitamins and
minerals that are good for your health. These include
vitamins A (beta-carotene), C and E, magnesium, zinc,
phosphorous and folic acid. Folic acid may reduce blood
levels of homocysteine, a substance that may be a risk
factor for coronary heart disease.
What do dairy products provide us with?
Consuming dairy products provides health benefits –
especially improved bone health. Foods in the Dairy
Group provide nutrients that are vital for health and
maintenance of your body. These nutrients include
calcium, potassium, vitamin D, and proteins.
What do meat,fish,beans and nuts provide us with?
Meat, poultry, fish, beans and peas, eggs, nuts and seeds
supply many nutrients and are an important part of
healthy eating. these healthy foods include not only
proteins, but B vitamins (niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, B6
and B12), vitamin E, magnesium, zinc and iron.
Water
If you want to be more healthy, just do these simple
things :
• Eat more fruits and vegetables.
• Reduce consumption of salt and sugar
• Remove junk food from the kitchen.
• Do not eat in front of TV.
• Drink plenty of water.
• Exercise more.
