Anorexia involves restricting food intake and distorted body image, while bulimia involves binge eating and purging. Around 1-2% of students struggle with eating disorders, which stem from unhealthy dieting, overexercise, and underlying emotional issues. Treatments include medical care, therapy to address feelings, nutrition counseling, and social support.
