History of American Art Education Essay
Western culture had many important effects on the United States as a developing nation, and art
education was no exception to this. In order to come to terms with the impact of Western culture on
American art education, it is important to chronicle the progression of art education throughout
Europe. Spanning centuries, the political, social, and economic development of European nations,
each played an important role the philosophies of art education, which in the long run, affected
American ideas concerning the subject. Thoughts about art changed and evolved in many ways
over time. Efland s The History of Art Education: Intellectual and Social Currents in Teaching the
Visual Artsoffers a concise history of art education,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The role that art did play involved one that catered towards the state. Art was used as political
propaganda in that it was thought that art should serve the state, and emphasize the power of the
state. These events indirectly shaped beliefs about art in the United States, as it was a new nation
that was raised on strong European influences. Throughout the history of art education, there is a
common thread of political relation. The attitudes concerning art related directly to the political
and economic happenings at the time. This remained a constant with early American settlers as
well. For example, Puritans lives revolved around faith and farming, therefore visual art played a
role that was not necessary integral. The arts involved a broad term that included crafts that were
taught at home. The main goal of education was to teach students to read so that they could read
scriptures. Art education today has veered quite a bit from this mentality. Art is still considered a
specialized area, but even more so than in times prior to the Industrial Revolution. Where during
this time period certain crafts that were part of daily living were routinely taught to young
children at home, contemporary society has moved away from this. Very rarely is a student taught
an art or a craft in the home, and because society s amenities and values have changed so
drastically, few individuals or families

The Reflection Of Social Status In African Art
The Reflection of Social Status in African Art The attachment of labels to particular groups of
people is something society just can t stop doing. Categorizing brings comfort in a world that
can often be very brutal and chaotic. Most people s first thoughts when looking at or meeting
someone are along the lines of trying to guess what kind of person they are based on how they
look, to get a better understanding of their social status. This idea is reflected within the arts as
well, such as in the use of distinguishing factors to discern a leader or deity from mere mortals. In
African culture, people of higher status often employed the fine arts in combination with other
methods, to embed their absolute power into the minds of their normal counterparts. Hierarchical
scale is a favorite among ancient artists when creating works featuring a high ranking member of
society, be it a god or a mortal king. People in power want to remain relevant to the people they
serve, and this relevance is often reiterated through forms of political propaganda that make them
appear more menacing or divine. One of the more blatant examples of art indicating and
reinforcing social status is the Altar to the Hand and Arm (Kleiner 402 403). Upon first glance, the
most important figure can be picked out of the other figures being depicted in this piece. Ancient
African artists had a solid grasp on proportion, but they often honored their leaders by giving them
larger heads to represent the endless

Raisin In The Sun Critical Analysis
Imagine, for a moment, that someone has just received an enormous check. However, this positive
and seemingly heaven sent bestowal is laced with dismay and mayhem, for there are numerous
outcomes this check could produce not all of which are accomplishable. Meanwhile, said person s
family is being torn asunder by all of these possible outcomes since each is persistently continuing
to pester and demand the personwho received the check to use it in the way that each of the family
members personally believe. It is always a burdensome choice, whether to consider an individual,
the majority, or the minorities, yet this is the dilemma thrust upon one woman in Raisin in the Sun
by Lorraine Hansberry. In writing this impossible circumstance... Show more content on

Accentuating the lack of passion and common courtesy Walter has for his wife, Ruth, in this
particular scene, Hansberry is, in the beginning, ingraining in her readers minds how detestably this
man treats his wife.
However, this absolute disregard for his wife is completely transformed after Mama, the woman
who is burdened with the dilemma, decides to satisfy the needs of the majority and purchases a
house which will be advantageous for everyone, whether they were pleased with the decision or
not. His whole being appears to convert into its polar opposite, as shown through the stage
direction, He dances over to Ruth and tries to get her to dance with him. She gives in at last to his
raunchiness and in a fit of giggles allows herself to be drawn into his mood (112). The author
illustrates how his actions and mentality, thus their relationship, evolved over a short period
resulting from the purchase of the house, which was originally intended to appease the majority,
since not everyone initially approved of this use of the money. Therefore, this altering of mindset
and relationship conveys that, by selecting the choice best suited for the majority, one may
unknowingly be selecting an option that becomes best suited for everyone and that is eventually
unanimously agreed upon.
In addition to this, it it always best to comply with the needs of the majority since the majority may
also include what is

Legislative History Of Parental Right
Legislative History of Parental Right
In the past, societies were predominately rural in nature, and the bulk of the population lived off
agriculture and handicraft. The family was crucial in developing and teaching the children
economically useful skills. The parents had power in deciding how, where, and who educated their
children. In this modern time, the government has increasingly taken away power and authority
from parents over their children. In the course of this happening, parents ceded many of their
responsibilities to the all knowing government. It created negative, un intended consequences. The
Parental Right Amendment was proposed in the Congress as House Joint Resolution 42 on March
31, 2009. The lead sponsor was Rep. Pete Hoekstra. The amendment contained five sections. First,
the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children is a fundamental
right. Second, the parental right to direct education includes the right to choose public, private,
religious, or home schools, and the right to make reasonable choices within public schools for one s
child. Third, neither the United States nor any state government shall infringe these rights without
demonstrating that its governmental interest, as applied to the person, is of the highest order and
not otherwise served. Fourth, this article shall not be construed to apply to a parental action or
decision that would end life. Finally, no treaty may be adopted nor shall

The Importance Of Religion In Ancient Egyptian Religion
While some civilizations are defined by their religion, ancient Egyptian religion was defined by
the civilization. The people of ancient Egypt (3500 30 BCE) were greatly influenced by the
cyclical nature of their environment and the Nile River, causing their society to be immensely
uniform in their ways. This uniformity is reflected in Egyptian theology and overall culture; the
Egyptian polytheistic gods and their existence in daily life rarely, if ever, changed and never
drastically. However, for a brief period in the Old Kingdom, a rapid shift in Egyptian religion took
place. Akhenaten, originally known as Amenhotep IV, became pharaoh of Egypt, and with his rule
came the upheaval of practices which had previously been in place for thousands of years.
With the cyclical nature of Egyptian society blossomed their desire for order and law. This order
in ancient Egyptian civilization was referred to as Ma at. All aspects of life were based around
this concept and their religion could be defined as the realization of Ma at (Charles 1). Ma at
was not only an idea, but a goddess to the Egyptians. She was associated with balance and
harmony on Earth. With the existence of Ma at came the importance of consistency in Egyptian
beliefs and practices; one of these consistencies was the importance of the afterlife. Ancient
Egyptian people believed in the existence of life after death. They left items with the dead to go
with them as they passed and the people also worked to maintain

The Genome Project Of Any Species
The genome sequencing project of any species would not be possible without modern sequencing
technologies and the methods described in this thesis, transcriptome and genome resources for
whitefly can be rapidly developed which enable exciting research. Methods and results described in
this thesis are just examples for any genomeproject, and would suit best to any arthropod that
contain bacterial endosymbiont. This concluding chapter summarizes the previous chapters and
also outlines the possible future directions for improvements and describes the exciting research
studies possible.
8.0.1 What can we do with the transcriptome
Chapter 1 began by addressing the research problem and describing the whiteflies that have been
studied so far and why the genome of this species is needed. Although, four transcriptomes of
different whitefly species have already been published and the data are available to public. These
four transcriptomes were compared in Chapter 2 to identify sequence and functional differences
across them. The main aim of the Chapter 2 was to obtain a comprehensive transcriptome data set
for Asia I species which could effectively used for further analysis in this thesis.
In order to capture the complete transcriptome of Asia I species, two different libraries (Normalized
and Unnormalized) were generated and sequenced. These combined data sets from two libraries not
only led to complete transcriptome resource but also to identifying the abundance and least

A New Age of Music Piracy
A thief can be defined in many different ways. The American Heritage Dictionary of the English
Language states a thief is one whom commits theft. So one might ask, what exactly is theft? Theft
is defined as the felonious taking and removing of personal property with intent to deprive the
rightful owner of it (The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language). Now most
people who participate in music piracy do not consider themselves thieves. The definition of a
theft is flawed in many ways. Most of the time people do not contain on factor of being a thief, this
factor is depriving the rightful owner of the property stolen. ... Show more content on

This is the Piracy Deterrence and Education Act that is being considered in the House Judiciary
Subcommittee on Intellectual Property. This act would mostly attack peer to peer networks and
force the FBI and the U.S. Copyright Office to develop anti piracy programs (AFM). Since 2003
the RIAA has aggressively pursued music pirates on the internet who have contributed to a
substantial amount of illegal downloading. They have won hundreds of guilty pleas averaging a
reported $3000 per case settlement (Dean). RIAA President, Cary Sherman stated the legal actions
taken by the record companies have been effective in educating the American public that illegal file
sharing of copyrighted material has significant consequences. Consumers are increasingly attracted
to the host of compelling legal online music alternatives. These lawsuits help to foster an
environment that provides a level playing field for these services to succeed. Without leaders such
as Cary Sherman, the fight against music piracy would fail along with the music industry.
Although there are many people and organizations involved in the fight against music piracy, there
are many road blocks standing in the way. In 1984 there was a Supreme Court ruling which
protected Sony Betamax from being held liable for circulating copyright violations through the use
of video cassette recorders. The courts ruled that the recorders had

helpful for you in emergency situations. Keeping cell phones in your car while traveling is one
of the topmost personal safety tips. In case of any accidents or unexpected events, you can
inform someone, who can rush to your rescue. Similarly, cell phones can be helpful to old and
disabled people. Although, lifts in offices and residential buildings come with phone extension

Last Man Standing Political Texas Style Summary
In the following documentary, Last Man Standing: Politics Texas Style this film is taken place
from a behind the scenes point of view that shows a very closely fought race in the Texas, There
was an ongoing race for the House District 45. Not only did you see the ongoing race but also got
to witness the governor s race, which is Tony Sanchez against Governor Rick Perry. Also another
witness Ron Kirk running for senate in Texasagainst John Cornyn. Overall numerous comments
are proclaimed by local and nation figures in the documentary about discussion s on politics,
which really had a very intuitive background to an in depth side from running campaigns to
strategies that some candidates used to attract voter to vote for them. In the documentary it
primarily focused on two specific candidates running for The House District 45. First, you had
Rick Green, a thirty one year old incumbent Republican Legislator and a conservative leader that is
running for reelection as House District 45. He had served two terms during the republican holder
generation. Most people notice right from the beginning that he is well more experience candidate
for the election, thus making people more openly trust him that he can manage the position of in
which he is running for. This not only makes him more experienced through the people s
perspective but also through his campaign style and debate appearances. Another appealing interest

Comparing Divergent And The Maze Runner
My two novels, Divergent and The Maze Runner, have many similarities that I would like to
discuss. Firstly, both novels focused on being thrust into a brand new world that the characters
were not used to. Thomas(The Maze Runner protagonist)started off the book with him waking up
inside of a cargo box, traveling upwards at an incredibly high speed, and with only the memory of
his name. When Tris decided to join the Dauntless, she immediately had to adapt and change, from
jumping from trains and buildings to fighting someone until submission or decommission. To add
onto that, despite being both unfamiliar with their new lives, they were able to adapt fairly quickly
with Tris being first in the second and third round of initiation, and... Show more content on

Thomas started from a person who was scared, confused, and curious, into the one who led them
out of the maze and one of the most important Gladers. On the other hand, Tris was a quiet
Abnegation girl who was struggling to fit into Dauntless. Eventually though she became one of the
bravest people in the story, fending off multiple Dauntless soldiers and stopping the Erudite. There
were also, quite obviously, going through very different situations. While, Tris had to fight her way
to the top ten, hide her Divergence, and save an entire faction, Thomas was trying to figure out
what his flashbacks meant, how he could get out of the maze, and why he had so much
responsibility. Based on all of this information, I believe that dystopian fiction really seems to focus
on themes of sacrifice, friendship, and most important of all, overthrowing the system . For
example, another dystopian fiction novel that has all three of these themes is The Hunger Games. In
the Hunger Games, Katniss, the protagonist, risks her life for her sister s wellbeing, makes alliances
with other tributes and rebels, and attempts to overthrow the Capitol. The main plot point of
Divergent was to stop the Erudite, the most power hungry of all five factions. Finally, Thomas stops
WICKED, a group of scientists that experimented on the Gladers. During all three of these
dystopian fiction novels the protagonists and their friends

Conquering the Generation Gap
Renowned president, Franklin Roosevelt, once stated, There is a mysterious cycle in human events.
To some generations much is given. Of other generations much is expected. As generations come
and go like the tides, the ocean of differences between them becomes clearer. Older generations
differ from the current generation in their use of technologyand their integration of educational
methods. Older generations did not have the technological advancements and opportunities that are
available now, nor did they have access to these technologies for educational purposes. Successful
efforts are being made each day to bridge the technological and educational gap.
One thing that has continued to advance steadily throughout history is technology. Generations
pass as technological knowledge increases. Although this is a fact the world has come to accept,
it creates a sea of barriers between generations that is difficult to overcome. Technology plays a
crucial part in society today, but that fact hasn t always held true. In past generations, such
advanced technology wasn t available or even discovered. Phones weren t portable, computers
weren t a common sight in homes, and the gathering of information required a trip to the library
and hours of research. Today, information is easily attainable by way of a computer or cell phone.
In fact, hardly any effort is required at all. The older generations are mistrustful and cautious of
these new technologies, as well as vastly uneducated,

Critical Analysis Of Death Of A Salesman
How can two people watch or read the same story and yet, interpret it completely differently?
Does it have to do with the author s intentions, or maybe it has to do with the viewers own
backgrounds and ideologies? Whatever the case may be, viewing one piece of work can lead to
a wide array of opinions and critiques. It is through the diversity of such lenses that Death of a
Salesman, by Arthur Miller has become one of the most well known plays in modern history.
There are many different ways in which a play can be criticized, however, criticisms from the
approaches of a Marxist and reader response will be utilized to further dissect Death of a Salesman.
Marxist criticism sees pieces of works as a struggle between different socioeconomic classes;
what better way to see Miller s play than for what it is at face value, the struggle of a middle class
man trying to achieve the American dream(1750). On the other hand, a reader response criticism
comes from either an objective or subjective view; in this case Death of a Salesman will be
viewed with a subjective lens based on Willy s deteriorating mental health (1746). Through a
Marxist s eyes, Death of a Salesman represents the struggle of middle class families in a
capitalistic world. From an early age, kids are taught to do well in school, be involved with sports
and activities, and to go on to college; all in hopes of achieving the American Dream. This dream of
obtaining success through hard work leads many into the

Option By Hanna Bloch Arguments Of Failtion
Hanna Blochs article Failure is an Option elucidates that failures are only failures if you can t
analyze, reassess, and learn from them. Bloch s first argument is that success meant to come
after, so we must fail in order to learn to appreciate success while still being alert that failure is
imminent. Bloch quotes Pete Athans, an experienced explorer who reached the world s highest
peak seven times. He says, Failure gives you a chance to refine your approach. You re taking risks
more and more intelligently (2). His own failures made him more aware of his own mistakes and
allowed him to rethink his future outcomes. Athens mishaps enabled him to anticipate possible
obstacles and increased his likelihood of success. Bloch goes on to talk about how society has
changed its views on failure, her reasoning is, Negative results can eventually give rise to positive
outcomes (3).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bloch elaborates by quoting Nancy Koehn, a school professor who based a class study on a
century old failed exploration of Ernest Shackelton to teach her students about leadership. She
says, It s a huge failure from the perspective of exploration...But it s inspiring partly because it s a
failure. We re in an age of corporate malfeasance and companies being called to account and
saying. It s not my fault. But he said, By God, I m going to clean it up. He owned responsibility
for the mess (4). Shackeltons negative result ultimately lead him to success because if he wouldn t
have taken responsibility for him and his men then they would have perished, but because he
refused to quit he successfully brought 27 of his men home safely. Hanna Bloch ends her article
Failure is an Option by highlighting the key themes of exploration which, according to her are,

everything and everyone that is supporting this cause, another way is to give them what they desire
to have, finally the last option is just completely ignore the foreign issue until it presents itself on
U.S. soil. After an online video emerged on Tuesday, January 21st, 2015, showing ISIS threatening
to kill two Japanese hostages, relatively little was known about the relationship between the two
prisoners. But Reuters News revealed later that next day

Essay Robber Barons in America
Robber Barons in America What is a robber baron? Webster s New Dictionary defines it as an
American capitalist of the late 19th century who became wealthy through exploitation (As of
natural resources, governmental influence, or low wage scales) or a person who satisfies himself
by depriving another. In America we had a lot of these kind of people. For this report I am going
to tell you about the ones that I found most interesting to me. I would first like to tell you about
Cornelius Vanderbilt.
Cornelius Vanderbilt was born in Port Richmondon Staten Island, N. Y. in 1794. Cornelius at the
age of 16 had already stepped into the busniess world and he didn t even know it. At 16 he entered

the inventor of an inexpensive process for the refinement of crude petroleum. By 1870 the
company had been superseded then in 1870 Rockefeller and his brother William and several
associates took over the business. By the 1880 s the company was one of the largest and richest
manufacturing concerns in the world. Rockefeller main concern wasn t always business he married
Laura Celestia Spelman in 1864. They had three daughters Bessie, Edith, and Alta and one son John

trust, was declared an illegal monopoly and ordered dissolved by the Ohio Supreme Court in

The original Need for Speed was released for 3DO in 1994 with versions released for the PC (DOS)
(1995), PlayStation and Saturn (1996) following shortly afterwards. The Need for Speed and its
Special Edition were the only games in the series to support DOS. Subsequent releases for the PC
run only within Windows.

Porsche Unleashed (North America and Latin America title), Porsche 2000 (European title) or
simply Porsche (in Germany) is different from the previous versions, because it featured only
Porsches and featured a wealth of information regarding them.
The vehicle handling is considered the most realistic in any NFS game, and there is an in depth
catalogue of different Porsche parts that span throughout the years. The player had to win races
in the Evolution career mode to unlock cars in chronological order from 1950 to 2000. Porsche
Unleashed also featured a Factory Driver mode, where the player had to test Porsches with various
stunts and move on with their career. The game is also the first in the series since the first NFS
game to not feature a split screen mode.

The Structure And Function Of The Nervous And Muscular System
This essay will describe the structure and function of the nervous and muscular systems and
examine Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), discussing the affect the disease has on these systems.
Particular attention will be paid to Type I SMA. This will be done by analysing a range of sources
in order to gain a clear understanding of SMA and the nervous and muscular systems.
SMA belongs to a group of illnesses known as Muscular Dystrophies which are inherited genetic
diseases that cause progressive degeneration of groups of muscles (Waugh et al, 2014). There
are four main types of SMA which are categorised according to the age at which the symptoms
develop. Type I is the most severe and develops in babies less than six months old (muscular
dystrophy, 2014. Online), it is thought to be the most common form of the disease (NHS, 2013.
Online). The gene that causes SMA is passed from parents to children but can only affect a child if
both parents carry a defective gene (smasupport, ND. Online).
Type I SMA affects the link between the nerves and muscles resulting in all muscles becoming
extremely weak and is typically diagnosed in infants before the age of six months (Carter et al,
2005). It causes severe muscle weakness that results in problems moving, eating, breathing and
swallowing. Breathing problems can be caused by weakness in the infants chest muscles and
difficulty swallowing can be made worse by weakness in the muscles of the tongue and throat. It is
caused by an abnormal

Taking a Look at a Writing Survey
A writing survey is a content composed by somebody to think about the basic purposes of
current learning including substantive discoveries, and hypothetical and methodological
commitments to a specific point. Expositive expression surveys are optional sources, and thusly,
don t report any new or unique test work. Additionally, a writing survey could be translated as an
audit of an unique achievement. Regularly connected with scholastic situated expositive
expression, for example, a proposition or associate inspected article, a literary works audit
generally goes before an examination proposal and outcomes segment. Its primary objectives
are to arrange the current study inside the assembly of expositive expression and to give setting
to the specific spectator. Writing audits are a staple for exploration in almost every scholastic
field A literary works survey talks about distributed data in a specific branch of knowledge, and
some of the time data in a specific branch of knowledge inside a certain time period. A literary
works survey might be simply a straightforward outline of the sources, however it generally has an
authoritative example and consolidates both synopsis and blend. An outline is a recap of the
imperative data of the source, yet an amalgamation is a re association, or a reshuffling, of that data.
It may give another elucidation of old material or join new with old elucidations. Then again it may

The Supply Chain Is All Parts Of The Company That Fulfill...
The supply chain is all parts of the company that fulfill a customer s order. This can include direct
or indirect contact with the customer. Suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers make up
some of the parts of a supply chain that are needed to fill a customer s order. One of the major
parts of the supply chain is the transportation of the raw material or the finished product.
Transportation can be done many ways, which include truck, pipeline, air, water, package carriers,
rail, and intermodal. Air transportation can have its advantages and its disadvantages. Transporting
products by air has advantages such as the speed of travel. Air is the fastest way to transport
products across the world in a reasonable amount of time. Another advantage of transporting
products by air is the fact that they can go as the crow flies , which means they can make direct
paths to the nearest airport. This makes for a speedy travel across the world. As RC Argawal
Transportation says It has no physical barriers as in the case of other mode of transport (RC
Argawal Transportation). There are several disadvantages that companies will incur when they
ship their products by air. Just like any other shipping mode planes can be hi jacked and the
products can be stolen. Planes can crash, very costly, cannot carry large cheap items, and there are
legal restrictions on what can be flown in the plane. Since September 2011, airlines have increased
their security at the airports. This

Parent-Infant Bonding
Coping Mechanisms of Ritual and Alienation: The Systemic Effect of Poverty on Parent Infant
Bonding According to attachment theory (Berger 2014; Fonagy, 2006), one of the most important
factors in the development of both the child and the adult is the bonding that happens in the
sensitivity period after birth. Though researchers disagree on the extent and determinative
characteristics of this period (Fonagy), the general consensus is that bonding is more beneficial
for both parent and infant than a lack of bonding (Berger, 2014, p. 69). Some European countries
view this period as so critical that natural births in the home are preferred and new mothers are

The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda(NES) is a high fantasy action adventure video game series created by
Japanese game designers Takashi Tezuka and Shigeru Miyamoto. It was developed and published
by Nintendo. The main platforms associated with this game include: Game boy, Nintendo64,
Gamecube, Wii, and the Nintendo Entertainment System. The Legend of Zelda plots centers on a
boy named Link whose goal is to collect the eight fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom in order to
rescue Princess Zelda from the enemy, Ganon. Over time, players tend to become quite skilled if

In the Legend of Zelda, the sword less speed running game completely transformed the game.
Sword less speed running is played by gamers who yearn for a challenge it s a normal run, except
that you can t use a sword throughout the game until you encounter, Gannon. Gannon cannot be
killed without a sword, unlike the other enemies in the game who can be killed using a bomb,
candles, wands, and boomerangs. This is the fastest strategy to complete the game, because you are
not focused in killing the enemies, but rather on dashing through levels as fast as possible. The
sword less community defied the instructions of the developers, because the sword was intended to
be used throughout the game. This community believed that the normal rules were too easy and as
a result made their own rules to enhance the challenge and fun aspects of the game. Nevertheless,
this community exploited the game because they found a way to surpass this rule. Yes, the primary
objective is to find a weapon but that necessarily doesn t have to be the sword, this community
learned that they can utilize candles, bombs, and arrows to use against enemies. Players who
perform speed runs often record their attempts, these recordings entertain others, verify the time
achieved. To accomplish a high level of play, speed runners approach

vary by state, but most states include rape (forced and statutory), sexual assault or battery, child
molestation or any sexual conduct with a minor, production or possession of child pornography,
and attempts to commit any of these crimes. The history of sex offenders has been active since the
1800 s according to author Philip Jenkins. Jerkins explains that in the Middle Ages, children were
constantly coming up missing and he also explains that sex crimelaws have existed as far back as
biblical times with a number of penalties ranging from fines to death for various sexual acts
considered deviant at one time or another in society. (Jenkins, 1998)

The Demand For Fossil Fuels
With Earth s population continuing to grow, the demand for fossil fuels is increasing every day.
In 2014, the United States alone consumed over 19 million barrels of oil a day. Not only is
running out of these vital fuels a concern, but our ferocious appetite for fossil fuels is heating
our planet at an alarming rate. While wind and solar power have been doing their part to cut
back on the use of fossil fuels, it may be biology that allows us to finally cut the cord to fossil
fuels. Recent studies into using biology as a renewable fuel have shown that an H2 producing
bacteria called, Rhodopseudomonas palustris, and biodiesel producing algae may be the keys. R.

palustris produces H2 and uses and enzyme called nitrogenase to catalyze the reaction. However,
most bacteria actually live in nitrogen deprived environments. The bacteria in those nitrogen
deficient environments stop growing, while producing more H2 than the bacteria who have
access nitrogen. The increased H2 production is due to a metabolic process called the
tricarboxylic acid cycle. This cycle replaces the gyloxylate cycle that is used by R. palustris in
nitrogen rich environments. In addition, the bacteria use the electrons they collected via EET to
generate ATP in another process called cyclic photophosphorylation. When nitrogen is not
available as a catalyst for H2 production, R. palustris can use electrons ingested from sources like
iron to produce H2. The problem with using these electrons is that the process of H2 production
will be in constant competition with the biosynthetic process of cyclic photophosphorylation,
which also requires electrons to function (Mckinlay et al. 2013). The energy created from algae
for biofuels is slightly less complicated than that of its bacterial cousin. Algae composition, by
weight, is half lipid oil. Scientists have been studying this oil for decades to convert it into algae
biodiesel this biodiesel burns cleaner and more efficiently than any petroleum based fuel (Stefani

Examples Of Homerun Of A Role Model
A Homerun of a Role Model
Have you ever had someone that you look up to? Well, most people in the world do have role
models. Whether it is a family member, a friend, or just a great person, role models are
phenomenal things for people to have. Role models can help you strive for greatness, or make
you yearn to be an overall better person. One individual that I look up to is Derek Jeter because he
lived a life full of adversity, he attacks challenges with ferocity, and he performs under intense
pressure. Many people have lived hard lives and gone on to greatness. This is definitely the case
with Derek Jeter. The first reason that Derek Jeter is my role model is because he lived a life full

No matter how much pressure you put on him, he will never break down or falter. The third and
final reason why I admire Jeter is he performs well under tremendous pressure. When D.J. was
brought up from the minors, he was chosen to wear number two. This is very symbolic in the
Yankee organization. The Yankees only gave these low numbers to the players who were
supposed to be exceptional. This meant that Derek was to follow in the footsteps of Babe Ruth,
Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and Mickey Mantle. These expectations made him very nervous, but
Jeter still performed extraordinarily. The other reason that D.J. is under tremendous pressure is
because he plays on the most recognized sports franchise in history. No matter what he does, he
s under a ton of scrutiny. A third reason that he s under this pressure is that not only is Derek a
player on the Yankee, but he is actually there team captain. Being the captain of the New York
Yankees is the hardest job available in sports. You don t have any room for a single mistake. This is
the last reason why D.J. is my role model. Over the course of his prolific MLB career, Derek Jeter
has silenced a lot of critics and made a lot of people realize that you don t have to be born with
talent to make something with your life. I feel honored that I am alive during the life of this great
player. Derek Jeter is my role model because he lived a life full of adversity, he attacks challenges

own preference. It is advantage to choose green coffee bean extract than roasted coffee bean.
Ordinary coffee from roasted coffee bean has negative effects. There are proven studies that
green coffee bean extract contains stronger antioxidant compared to grape seed and green tea

Joseph Stalin was born in Gori, a city in Georgia. He rose to power in 1929 when he became the

Niccolo Machiavelli, an Italian renaissance writer, humanist, diplomat, historian and Politician.
These political philosophies are found in the book The prince published in 1532 about how a

Reasons to Invest in Lionsgate Essay
I believe that Lionsgate is a film studio that s set for some big growth in the next few years, and I
wish I had a big bag of money to invest. I have come up with five very good reasosn why i want to
invest in Lionsgate.
The Hunger Game series: As you ve probably heard, read, and/or seen by now, there s a new
blockbuster franchise on the block, and in the last ten days it s already made $362 million. It s
headed easily north of $500 million and probably above $700 million, plus another nine figure
haul on DVD and Blu ray, not to mention merchandising. The sequel, entitled Catching Fire, is
already scheduled for a November 2013 release, and will likely build on the mega success of the
first film. There s also talk of turning the third and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Meanwhile, you re wondering what the big deal is about the Step Up franchise, right? Well, the
previous three films combined cost only around $60 million to make, and brought home $424
million at the box office, plus DVD and Blu ray sales and rentals that probably pushed the total to
more than $500 million. Half a billion bucks off a $60 million investment isn t too shabby, and
each film has made more money than the last one. With the fourth film releasing this July, and the
take from previous installments now going to Lionsgate, it s a nice low budget property that s
provided big returns and seems capable of churning out sequels indefinitely.
The Expendables series The first film in Sylvester Stallone s series was a hit, and the sequel has
upped the ante with the inclusion of widely popular action stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger and
Chuck Norris. So expect this one to top the box office of the previous entry, somewhere north of
$300 million at theaters before a nice additional run on the home theater market where profit
margins are enormous. The films are popular because they are a throwback to the golden age of
modern action films, and they answer the question, What if everybody who ever kicked butt got
together to kick each other s butts all at once? The answer, of course, is $$$. Lionsgate also has
some other

The Importance Of Civil Rights
WEAR YOUR RIGHTS , is the title of an icon on the American Civil Liberties Union website
where with one click you can be redirected to the ACLU s store, to purchase any number of
wearable items to aid you in speaking out about your rights (ACLU 2017). In addition to the
store the ACLU has a whole page dedicated to knowing your rights and speaking out with the use
of clothing and swag. Fundamental to democracy in the United States is the continued protection
of our civil liberties and civil rights. Civil liberties concern basic rights and freedoms that are
implicitly or explicitly stated either in the Bill of Rights, Constitution or legislature. Civil rights
refer to legal protections that guard against unequal treatment based on race, gender, disability and
it is under these protections everyone should receive equal treatment under the law.
Unfortunately, there are times when preservation of our rights and liberties is threatened for a
number of reasons sometimes even due to to national security or patriotism. When it comes to
wearing our rights the majority of examples that I could find involved wearing an item of
clothing with words on it, which is enacting our freedom of speech which is a civil liberty
covered under the first amendment. Usually when enacting this specific civil liberty we are doing
it with words that relate to some specific type of inequality or injustice based on the infringement
of our civil rights. Examples include race, gender or disability.

In karst landscapes, if local topography sinks below the water table, groundwater releases into
the lower area, creating a spring (Hudak, 2000). Springs are often found at structural,
topographic, and stratigraphic discontinuities (Bierman and Montgomery, 2014). There are two
general types of springs, categorized according to the type of aquifer from which they derive: (1)
water table (also called non artesian): flows through the earth from a higher elevation to a lower
elevation; and (2) artesian (most of Florida s large springs are this type): flows to the surface via

Oroonoko Sparknotes
For ages, man exemplified their desire to perform inequalities to those weaker than they. From
the oppressor in the congregation, to the monarch and his crown court, it appears that man have
a will to take over and dictate others. Oroonoko, by Aphra Behn, shows us that slavery is
immoral, shameful, disheartening, and worse than death. Liberty is an assured human right.
Oroonoko is a controlling story about the sufferings of a chivalrous, gracious prince named
Oroonoko. Through the novel, Oroonoko is presented to be a heroic prince and a friend to
numerous people especially to his fellow slaves who looked up to him and respected him like he

strategical skills by winning his battles and conquering his enemies. In the beginning of the novel,...

And after a while not at first he gets some form of respect from other slaves but not right away
like Oroonoko. Slaves viewed Kunte as a brave and courageous man because he ran away twice
and got punished for it and other slaves saw the punishment and how he took the beating and
sufferings as a man he earned his respect from that. Kunte becomes a smart, educated man
towards the end and has some similarities with Oroonoko. Behn goes and talks about how no one
has ever produced a braver man than Oroonoko. He was both courageous and had a brilliant
mind as well. Oroonoko s grandfather who is a king and is such an unpleasant person, he s a

New York City Of Red Hook Essay
Red Hook had declined from a vibrant, working class waterfront community into a notorious
hotbed of drug related violence, cut off from the rest of New York City and the rest of Brooklyn
by an elevated highway and a lack of public transportation, the citizens of Red Hook were despite
for a much needed change. By looking at the success that followed from Manhattan s first
communitycourt, the citizens of Red Hook believed that the same success could be achieved in
their neighborhood as well. Thus, in the year 2000, the community of Red Hook opened its doors
to its new courthouse, which was once a vacant school house.
In 1938, New York Citybuilt its first high rise public housing development in the community of
Red Hook, which consisted of 27 building that contained over 2,500 apartments. In the late 1950
s the citizens of Red Hook saw many of its jobs going to the ports of New Jersey and to more
convenient areas of New York City, the Red Hook community saw its population fall nearly half in

Hispanic, with over 70 percent of the community residing in the housing projects.
The median income of the community was less that 9,500 less than one third of the median New

Digital Media In Anticipatory Shipping
DIGITIAL MEDIA: EMPOWERING CUSTOMERS AND FACILITATING MANAGERS FOR
THE FUTURE
When you dream for it, you will get it is an acclaimed quote of Walt Disney, which is considered as
one of the best motivational quotes. Search for it, you will get it is what Amazon promises with its
latest initiative, which is named as Anticipatory Shipping . Anticipatory shipping is exactly what it
sounds like: Products are shipped to your geographical vicinity before hand, and in some cases
straight away to your door without you actually ordering them. With tremendous growth in
technology, today there are innumerable techniques for companies to improve their offerings and
thereby enhance their odds of garnering customer attention. Amazon, lately, has been the master in
coupling their innovation with technological advancements. The outcome was revolutionary in

Role of Digital Media in Anticipatory Shipping:
Gone are the days where marketers solely rely on TV or print media to market their products. In
this digital world major part of advertisement budget is allocated to the digital media advertising.
One may think this is the maximum extent to which a company can go to improve its market
presence. But Amazon is undoubtedly way ahead in utilizing digital media for their research. A
quintessential to that is the current idea of Anticipatory Shipping. Even though there are some
loopholes in the whole idea the way they designed the whole structure of this delivery system is
quiet fascinating. They have divided the whole model into two parts
1) Forecasting model
2) Shipping model
Forecasting model:
Forecasting model can be configured to forecast or predict customer demand for a given item.

Redundant Storage Vs Backup Storage
Redundant Storage
Redundant Storage vs Backup
Redundant storage in the context of data storage usually refers to the use of Redundant Array of
Independent Disks (RAID). RAID is a set of disks which are usually identical in specifications and
when configured will divide or replicate the data saved on them.
A backup is where a copy of the data is stored on the same disk or another location and is the
primary means for retrieval of data should the need arise (i.e. due to loss of data or corruption).
The difference lies in the fact that RAID utilises multiple disks, which either replicates or divides
the data among them as opposed to storing a copy of the data on a memory storage device as in the
case of a backup. Backup has the capability of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In such a situation backup has the advantage in that it has the capability of being stored off site.
One possible improvement to redundant storage is to change the configuration to mirroring with
the capability of being backed up off site.
Striping, Mirroring Parity
Striping in the context of RAID refers to data being split up among a group disks (array). An
analogy would be like cutting up strips on a piece of paper (with text on it) and every odd line
stored on one disk and every even line stored on another disk. (Most commonly used in RAID 0.
Mirroring refers to the replication of logical disk volumes onto separate physical hard disks in real
time to ensure continuous availability. (Most commonly used in RAID1)
Parity refers to a bit added to the end of a string of binary code that indicates whether the number
of bits in the string with the value one is even or odd. Parity is the simplest form of error detecting
code in data.
The benefit of striping is that more data can be fitted on the group of disks (array) due to the fact
that it is divided up rather than replicated on each disk.
The benefit of mirroring is that in the event of a system crash there is a much greater chance of
recovery due to the fact that an entire copy of the data is replicated on each disk of the array.
Parity can be used for checking and repairing errors on

An Economic Event Intertwined With Credit Crunch
1.Introduction
An economic event intertwined with credit crunch is the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis. In 2007,
the subprime mortgage crisis dealt a huge economic blow to America and then had a great impact
on the world economy. Although several actions, such as lowered the target for Federal funds
rate and the discount rate, were taken, the crisis still had severe, long lasting consequences, which
makes the world economy still in a slow recovery so far. The credit crunch of 2007 was triggered
by several factors. Analyzing the cause of credit crunch can help us reduce the probability of it and
then prevent financial crisis in the future.
This essay consists of three parts. At first, it will discuss some causes of the credit crunch of 2007.

****In the 1990s, shortage of financial capital and low quality borrowers forced the banks to
reduce the loan supply. The credit crunch of 2007 is more complicated than ever before. The first
reason was that the acceleration of globalization involved more international investors, so the credit
crunch had more global implications. And the other reason was that new ways of packaging and
reselling assets had been introduced. Several factors should be taken into account when we trying
to figure out what result in such a crisis.
2.2 The development of subprime mortgage market
****When discussing about the credit crunch of 2007, the United State subprime mortgage crisis is
a good point to start with. The direct cause of this crisis was the bursting of the U.S. housing
market bubble, but things can date back to about 2000. At the beginning of the 21st century, house
prices in America started to experience an unprecedented rate of growth due to a low interest rate
environment. From 1997 2006, according to the Standard Poor s / Case Shiller national home
price index, the U.S. housing prices increased by 124%. There were a number of causes of this
phenomena, such as the low Fed funds rate. Although other western countries also experienced the
similar trends, for example, housing prices in the U.K. increased by 194%, while those

Brief Biography On John Bisland s Life
John Bisland and Susannah Rucker Bisland lived at Mount Airwell, Natchez, Adams County,
Mississippi. Their son, William was born January 7, 1797, at Mount Airwell. While the Bisland

in both Adams County, Mississippi and Concordia Parish across the Mississippi River. He built
the plantation home known as Mount Repose a few miles north of Natchez in 1824. This home is

  • 2. History of American Art Education Essay Western culture had many important effects on the United States as a developing nation, and art education was no exception to this. In order to come to terms with the impact of Western culture on American art education, it is important to chronicle the progression of art education throughout Europe. Spanning centuries, the political, social, and economic development of European nations, each played an important role the philosophies of art education, which in the long run, affected American ideas concerning the subject. Thoughts about art changed and evolved in many ways over time. The role that art did play involved one that catered towards the state. Art was used as political propaganda in that it was thought that art should serve the state, and emphasize the power of the state. These events indirectly shaped beliefs about art in the United States, as it was a new nation that was raised on strong European influences. Throughout the history of art education, there is a common thread of political relation. The attitudes concerning art related directly to the political and economic happenings at the time. This remained a constant with early American settlers as well. For example, Puritans lives revolved around faith and farming, therefore visual art played a role that was not necessary integral. The arts involved a broad term that included crafts that were taught at home. The main goal of education was to teach students to read so that they could read scriptures. Art education today has veered quite a bit from this mentality. Art is still considered a specialized area, but even more so than in times prior to the Industrial Revolution. Where during this time period certain crafts that were part of daily living were routinely taught to young children at home, contemporary society has moved away from this. • 3. The Reflection Of Social Status In African Art The Reflection of Social Status in African Art The attachment of labels to particular groups of people is something society just can t stop doing. Categorizing brings comfort in a world that can often be very brutal and chaotic. Most people s first thoughts when looking at or meeting someone are along the lines of trying to guess what kind of person they are based on how they look, to get a better understanding of their social status. This idea is reflected within the arts as well, such as in the use of distinguishing factors to discern a leader or deity from mere mortals. In African culture, people of higher status often employed the fine arts in combination with other methods, to embed their absolute power into the minds of their normal counterparts. Hierarchical scale is a favorite among ancient artists when creating works featuring a high ranking member of society, be it a god or a mortal king. People in power want to remain relevant to the people they serve, and this relevance is often reiterated through forms of political propaganda that make them appear more menacing or divine. One of the more blatant examples of art indicating and reinforcing social status is the Altar to the Hand and Arm (Kleiner 402 403). Upon first glance, the most important figure can be picked out of the other figures being depicted in this piece. Ancient African artists had a solid grasp on proportion, but they often honored their leaders by giving them larger heads to represent the endless ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, this positive and seemingly heaven sent bestowal is laced with dismay and mayhem, for there are numerous outcomes this check could produce not all of which are accomplishable. Meanwhile, said person s family is being torn asunder by all of these possible outcomes since each is persistently continuing to pester and demand the personwho received the check to use it in the way that each of the family members personally believe. It is always a burdensome choice, whether to consider an individual, the majority, or the minorities, yet this is the dilemma thrust upon one woman in Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Accentuating the lack of passion and common courtesy Walter has for his wife, Ruth, in this particular scene, Hansberry is, in the beginning, ingraining in her readers minds how detestably this man treats his wife. However, this absolute disregard for his wife is completely transformed after Mama, the woman who is burdened with the dilemma, decides to satisfy the needs of the majority and purchases a house which will be advantageous for everyone, whether they were pleased with the decision or not. His whole being appears to convert into its polar opposite, as shown through the stage direction, He dances over to Ruth and tries to get her to dance with him. She gives in at last to his raunchiness and in a fit of giggles allows herself to be drawn into his mood (112). The author illustrates how his actions and mentality, thus their relationship, evolved over a short period resulting from the purchase of the house, which was originally intended to appease the majority, since not everyone initially approved of this use of the money. Therefore, this altering of mindset and relationship conveys that, by selecting the choice best suited for the majority, one may unknowingly be selecting an option that becomes best suited for everyone and that is eventually unanimously agreed upon. In addition to this, it it always best to comply with the needs of the majority since the majority may also include what is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Legislative History Of Parental Right Legislative History of Parental Right In the past, societies were predominately rural in nature, and the bulk of the population lived off agriculture and handicraft. The family was crucial in developing and teaching the children economically useful skills. The parents had power in deciding how, where, and who educated their children. In this modern time, the government has increasingly taken away power and authority from parents over their children. In the course of this happening, parents ceded many of their responsibilities to the all knowing government. It created negative, un intended consequences. The Parental Right Amendment was proposed in the Congress as House Joint Resolution 42 on March 31, 2009. The lead sponsor was Rep. Pete Hoekstra. The amendment contained five sections. First, the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children is a fundamental right. Second, the parental right to direct education includes the right to choose public, private, religious, or home schools, and the right to make reasonable choices within public schools for one s child. Third, neither the United States nor any state government shall infringe these rights without demonstrating that its governmental interest, as applied to the person, is of the highest order and not otherwise served. • 7. The Importance Of Religion In Ancient Egyptian Religion While some civilizations are defined by their religion, ancient Egyptian religion was defined by the civilization. The people of ancient Egypt (3500 30 BCE) were greatly influenced by the cyclical nature of their environment and the Nile River, causing their society to be immensely uniform in their ways. This uniformity is reflected in Egyptian theology and overall culture; the Egyptian polytheistic gods and their existence in daily life rarely, if ever, changed and never drastically. However, for a brief period in the Old Kingdom, a rapid shift in Egyptian religion took place. Akhenaten, originally known as Amenhotep IV, became pharaoh of Egypt, and with his rule came the upheaval of practices which had previously been in place for thousands of years. With the cyclical nature of Egyptian society blossomed their desire for order and law. This order in ancient Egyptian civilization was referred to as Ma at. All aspects of life were based around this concept and their religion could be defined as the realization of Ma at (Charles 1). Ma at was not only an idea, but a goddess to the Egyptians. She was associated with balance and harmony on Earth. With the existence of Ma at came the importance of consistency in Egyptian beliefs and practices; one of these consistencies was the importance of the afterlife. Ancient Egyptian people believed in the existence of life after death. They left items with the dead to go with them as they passed and the people also worked to maintain ... Although, four transcriptomes of different whitefly species have already been published and the data are available to public. These four transcriptomes were compared in Chapter 2 to identify sequence and functional differences across them. The main aim of the Chapter 2 was to obtain a comprehensive transcriptome data set for Asia I species which could effectively used for further analysis in this thesis. • 12. Comparing Divergent And The Maze Runner My two novels, Divergent and The Maze Runner, have many similarities that I would like to discuss. Firstly, both novels focused on being thrust into a brand new world that the characters were not used to. Thomas(The Maze Runner protagonist)started off the book with him waking up inside of a cargo box, traveling upwards at an incredibly high speed, and with only the memory of his name. When Tris decided to join the Dauntless, she immediately had to adapt and change, from jumping from trains and buildings to fighting someone until submission or decommission. On the other hand, Tris was a quiet Abnegation girl who was struggling to fit into Dauntless. Eventually though she became one of the bravest people in the story, fending off multiple Dauntless soldiers and stopping the Erudite. There were also, quite obviously, going through very different situations. While, Tris had to fight her way to the top ten, hide her Divergence, and save an entire faction, Thomas was trying to figure out what his flashbacks meant, how he could get out of the maze, and why he had so much responsibility. Based on all of this information, I believe that dystopian fiction really seems to focus on themes of sacrifice, friendship, and most important of all, overthrowing the system . For example, another dystopian fiction novel that has all three of these themes is The Hunger Games. In the Hunger Games, Katniss, the protagonist, risks her life for her sister s wellbeing, makes alliances with other tributes and rebels, and attempts to overthrow the Capitol. The main plot point of Divergent was to stop the Erudite, the most power hungry of all five factions. Finally, Thomas stops WICKED, a group of scientists that experimented on the Gladers. Older generations did not have the technological advancements and opportunities that are available now, nor did they have access to these technologies for educational purposes. Does it have to do with the author s intentions, or maybe it has to do with the viewers own backgrounds and ideologies? Whatever the case may be, viewing one piece of work can lead to a wide array of opinions and critiques. It is through the diversity of such lenses that Death of a Salesman, by Arthur Miller has become one of the most well known plays in modern history. There are many different ways in which a play can be criticized, however, criticisms from the approaches of a Marxist and reader response will be utilized to further dissect Death of a Salesman. Marxist criticism sees pieces of works as a struggle between different socioeconomic classes; what better way to see Miller s play than for what it is at face value, the struggle of a middle class man trying to achieve the American dream(1750). On the other hand, a reader response criticism comes from either an objective or subjective view; in this case Death of a Salesman will be viewed with a subjective lens based on Willy s deteriorating mental health (1746). Through a Marxist s eyes, Death of a Salesman represents the struggle of middle class families in a capitalistic world. Particular attention will be paid to Type I SMA. This will be done by analysing a range of sources in order to gain a clear understanding of SMA and the nervous and muscular systems. SMA belongs to a group of illnesses known as Muscular Dystrophies which are inherited genetic diseases that cause progressive degeneration of groups of muscles (Waugh et al, 2014). There are four main types of SMA which are categorised according to the age at which the symptoms develop. Type I is the most severe and develops in babies less than six months old (muscular dystrophy, 2014. Online), it is thought to be the most common form of the disease (NHS, 2013. Online). The gene that causes SMA is passed from parents to children but can only affect a child if both parents carry a defective gene (smasupport, ND. Online). Type I SMA affects the link between the nerves and muscles resulting in all muscles becoming extremely weak and is typically diagnosed in infants before the age of six months (Carter et al, 2005). It causes severe muscle weakness that results in problems moving, eating, breathing and swallowing. Breathing problems can be caused by weakness in the infants chest muscles and difficulty swallowing can be made worse by weakness in the muscles of the tongue and throat. It is caused by an abnormal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This can include direct or indirect contact with the customer. Suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers make up some of the parts of a supply chain that are needed to fill a customer s order. One of the major parts of the supply chain is the transportation of the raw material or the finished product. Transportation can be done many ways, which include truck, pipeline, air, water, package carriers, rail, and intermodal. Air transportation can have its advantages and its disadvantages. Transporting products by air has advantages such as the speed of travel. Air is the fastest way to transport products across the world in a reasonable amount of time. Another advantage of transporting products by air is the fact that they can go as the crow flies , which means they can make direct paths to the nearest airport. This makes for a speedy travel across the world. As RC Argawal Transportation says It has no physical barriers as in the case of other mode of transport (RC Argawal Transportation). There are several disadvantages that companies will incur when they ship their products by air. Just like any other shipping mode planes can be hi jacked and the products can be stolen. Planes can crash, very costly, cannot carry large cheap items, and there are legal restrictions on what can be flown in the plane. Parent-Infant Bonding Coping Mechanisms of Ritual and Alienation: The Systemic Effect of Poverty on Parent Infant Bonding According to attachment theory (Berger 2014; Fonagy, 2006), one of the most important factors in the development of both the child and the adult is the bonding that happens in the sensitivity period after birth. Though researchers disagree on the extent and determinative characteristics of this period (Fonagy), the general consensus is that bonding is more beneficial for both parent and infant than a lack of bonding (Berger, 2014, p. 69). Not only is running out of these vital fuels a concern, but our ferocious appetite for fossil fuels is heating our planet at an alarming rate. While wind and solar power have been doing their part to cut back on the use of fossil fuels, it may be biology that allows us to finally cut the cord to fossil fuels. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... palustris produces H2 and uses and enzyme called nitrogenase to catalyze the reaction. However, most bacteria actually live in nitrogen deprived environments. The bacteria in those nitrogen deficient environments stop growing, while producing more H2 than the bacteria who have access nitrogen. The increased H2 production is due to a metabolic process called the tricarboxylic acid cycle. This cycle replaces the gyloxylate cycle that is used by R. palustris in nitrogen rich environments. In addition, the bacteria use the electrons they collected via EET to generate ATP in another process called cyclic photophosphorylation. When nitrogen is not available as a catalyst for H2 production, R. palustris can use electrons ingested from sources like iron to produce H2. The problem with using these electrons is that the process of H2 production will be in constant competition with the biosynthetic process of cyclic photophosphorylation, which also requires electrons to function (Mckinlay et al. 2013). The energy created from algae for biofuels is slightly less complicated than that of its bacterial cousin. Algae composition, by weight, is half lipid oil. Half a billion bucks off a $60 million investment isn t too shabby, and each film has made more money than the last one. With the fourth film releasing this July, and the take from previous installments now going to Lionsgate, it s a nice low budget property that s provided big returns and seems capable of churning out sequels indefinitely. The Expendables series The first film in Sylvester Stallone s series was a hit, and the sequel has upped the ante with the inclusion of widely popular action stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chuck Norris. So expect this one to top the box office of the previous entry, somewhere north of $300 million at theaters before a nice additional run on the home theater market where profit margins are enormous.
