korfball
                                   intro
• Korfball is a typical Dutch sport. Nico Broekhuysen came up with this game
in 1902. He was in Sweden were he saw the Swedish ringboll, then he came
up with the variant korfball. Korfball is one of the sports where boys and girls
    play together.

• Korfball is a ball game and the goal is to throw the ball in the basket. Korfball
is played in 2 sections: an attack section and a defence section. In both
sections stands a post with a basket on 3,5 meters above the ground. The field
of the seniors is 60 by 30 meters and the game takes 2 halfs of 35 minutes.
• A korfballteam has 8 players, 4 boys and 4 girls. In each section stand 2 girls
and boys. One team of four forms the attack section and the other four forms
the defence section. When one of the teams score 2 times, the teams have to
switch to the other side. So when it’s 1-1, the attack section walks to the other
side and they become the defence. And exactly the same with the defence
    section.

   and when it’s not defended.

to shoot, you can block it by raising your hands in the sky. (=flimpje) As a girl
you may defend all the girls in your section and the boys may defend all the
   boys in there section.
