Hello everyone! I hope you all are okay
Today we start with “Super Powers”. But first let's make a review the
modal verb can and some actions verbs.
Are you ready?
Activity 1
Look at the superheroes and the questions. Write YES or NO. Then read
and check your answers.
We all have an ability

Look at the chart in exercise 1. Complete the sentences with can/ can't +
verb.

Superheroes
Superman: Fantastic Superman! He comes from the Planet Krypton. He can fly
at the speed of light, he can jump very high, up to 250 metres, he can speak
every language in the world. There’s nothing Superman can’t do!
Batman: Brilliant Batman! He’s a scientist. He’s rich and very clever, he’s
brilliant detective. He can solve crimes easily. He’s a superhero, but he doesn’t
have any super powers. He has wings, but he can’t fly! He’s called Batman, but
he can’t fly!
Spiderman: Powerful Spiderman! He has spider powers. He can’t fly, but he’s
very strong. He can climb buildings and he can jump very high. He can also read
people’s minds.
Wonder Woman: Wonderful Wonder Woman! Daughter of Zeus. She’s a
princess. She’s very strong. She can fight very well, she can run very fast, and
she can fly. She can also talk to animals and understand them.

Now, we are going to practice the new verbs.

This week we will work on a project: "Superheroes fight bullying".

Now we’re going to read a short story…
Observation: In the case of the video in which I tell the story, I would
have liked to do it with sign language. Sign language is a pending subject in
my life, but I hope to be able to learn it very soon and thus be able to have
this valuable tool for my future students.

In group of 3, answer the following questions:
 What do superheroes do? why?
 Is it easy or difficult to be a superhero? why?
 What values should a superhero have?
 What adjectives define a superhero for you?
 What can a superhero do against bullying?
 What superpowers could be used to stop bullying?
Activity 2
Time to work!
With your classmates, make a comic in which a superhero fights bullying
using the information of the previous exercise.
You can use your favourite superheroes, create one or be the superheroes
yourself, why not?
Also, you can create your comics with virtual tools such as:

  • 4. WEEK 1 Hello everyone! I hope you all are okay Today we start with “Super Powers”. But first let's make a review the modal verb can and some actions verbs. Are you ready? Activity 1 Look at the superheroes and the questions. Write YES or NO. Then read and check your answers. We all have an ability that characterizes us and makes us unique. Which is yours?
  • 6. Activity 2 Look at the chart in exercise 1. Complete the sentences with can/ can't + verb. 1. Superman …………………… at the speed of light. 2. Batman ………………………… . 3. Spiderman ………………… buildings. 4. Wonder Woman ……………… very fast. 5. Superman …………… every language in the world. 6. Spiderman …………………very high. 7. Wonder Woman ………………… . Superheroes Superman: Fantastic Superman! He comes from the Planet Krypton. He can fly at the speed of light, he can jump very high, up to 250 metres, he can speak every language in the world. There’s nothing Superman can’t do! Batman: Brilliant Batman! He’s a scientist. He’s rich and very clever, he’s brilliant detective. He can solve crimes easily. He’s a superhero, but he doesn’t have any super powers. He has wings, but he can’t fly! He’s called Batman, but he can’t fly! Spiderman: Powerful Spiderman! He has spider powers. He can’t fly, but he’s very strong. He can climb buildings and he can jump very high. He can also read people’s minds. Wonder Woman: Wonderful Wonder Woman! Daughter of Zeus. She’s a princess. She’s very strong. She can fight very well, she can run very fast, and she can fly. She can also talk to animals and understand them.
