Some of Hardware that used in the organization which is (Dubai Taxi
Corporation)
•There are many useful hardware in the organization that help manager, secretary, other
department do them works easily. Hardware is any physical device, something that you
are able to touch and it’s type of technology that expensive but it save the time and get
professional works.
Some of Software that used in the organization which is (Dubai Taxi
Corporation)
•Software is a collection of instructions and code installed into the computer and cannot
be touched. In this organization, each department are used a lot of software that cover
them need and organized them information. Some of them software free and some are
cost.

around company
Technology has evolved and transformed our lives and society. Let us look at the benefits
of technology in some major areas of organization:
Benefits of Technology in Business:
•When integrated technology in the organization specially Taxi car that help to raise the sales and
number of customers. So that help to purchase of computers and software to the implementation.
And this helps businesses to:
•Remain up-to-date
•Drive business forward
For example: More people booking Dubai taxis over the phone

•The total number of calls also increased by 20.9 per cent, going up to 7,256,236 calls in 2011, as

Our observation that was bought by the company and when; and what was gifted
or given by the education zone / other government agency
The company buy their own items (by analyzing their employees needs) via survey that they created
every new year.

6. How was the hardware and software
decided upon?
Media Section
•The manager Zainab who responsible of Media section in DTC. She decide which software or
hardware it need it in this section.
IT Section
•Marwan who the manager of IT department and this department need everything related to software
like a programming because they work in codes and train other employees on the different
departments in the company to improve their skills.
Driver Training Section
•The manager Suzan who responsible of classes that for drivers decide what the class need to teach
drivers from hardware or software because there are many of classes and should each class has a
purpose to teach them like one of them just for lecture and they want just one computer for teacher
with data show.

7. What staff were trained to use them, and
how did they develop staff to use them?
• In media section, the employees who work there, they should have a certification on designing
program because they work in their website or edit the photo or design the advertisement, …etc.
It means that, they have a knowledge and experience of using the designing software and how to
deal with hardware like camera.
• Also, in IT department, they should have a certification on IT. It means that, they have an
experience with software and hardware.
• The manager in the first thing train the driver how to use computer and teach them the basic
because they will use a computer when doing the exam.

equipment in yourplacements and its
timescale?
• Who bought the computers ?
Dubai Taxi Company provide their equipment by the company budget.
• How often they buy new computers?
Every five years they buy new computers, and they are up to date with latest software versions.
• Describe the management structure for purchasing and training in your
placements, or in a cluster of placements that you observed ?
• The management structure of the company are HR department. However, The IT department are
responsible of the computers and other technology if they have to be changed or no.
• Contracts and procurement is the department who deal with the specific company and decide the
budget of the new computers or laptops that they wont to buy it.

9. How often they change theircomputers and
printers , software ?
• They changes the cartridge once a week and they use approximately 10 A4 papers in each
department for one week.
• They change their printers every 7 years.
• They changes their computer every 8 years.

• However, the software that they use are licensed and they only update them with new versions.
• They change the devices like weirless, projector, speakers, scanner, smart board when its
damage.
