The Rocky team is developing a 3U CubeSat for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, aimed at measuring lift, drag, magnetic fields, radiation, and GPS performance in low Earth orbit (LEO). The project employs agile processes to design and create various subsystems, including power, communications, and attitude control systems, while ensuring component compliance with specified requirements. The final goal is to actively control the CubeSat's descent to maximize its duration in LEO and gather valuable scientific data.
