This document provides an overview and update to Killeen's Parks Master Plan. It summarizes the plan's scope, existing parks system, public involvement process, needs assessment findings, and recommendations. The needs assessment found deficits in parkland acreage and uneven distribution. Key recommendations include developing new neighborhood parks, protecting green space, coordinating with schools, improving park connectivity and safety, and adopting a parkland ordinance. The document outlines the prioritization process for recommendations, including survey results prioritizing actions like protecting green space, developing parks on school lands, and improving park lighting, connectivity, and recreation opportunities. It invites the City Council to complete an online prioritization survey to help finalize the plan.

Bath & North East Somerset Council, Energy at Home Sustainable Construction &...The Future Economy Network
Cleo Newcombe-Jones from B&NES Council talks about local planning guidance on sustainable construction and retrofitting and the Council's Supplementary Planning Document.
This memorandum responds to a July 8, 2015 Council motion that requested staff explore funding options to advance the acquisition of urban natural features and provide a status update to Planning Committee and Council. Staff have completed this review and have determined that most funding options that may be considered would have varying limitations either as a result of legislative constraints, or practical limitations with respect to the amounts of money that could be secured. Staff have also looked at other alternatives for acquisition and/or protection of urban natural features.
The policy changes regarding woodlands in the urban area acknowledge and reflect the growing understanding that most urban woodlands are more valuable for their social and economic functions than their biological functions. Consequently, these policy changes would also affect the criteria against which development proposals within and adjacent to urban significant woodlands would be evaluated under the “no negative impact” standard in the PPS.
On August 11, Piedmont Environmental Council President, Chris Miller, and field staff held an online conversation about the current challenges and opportunities facing communities in Fauquier County.

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.
