Background
• Consent to the creation of Bell County MUD #2 – 7/30/13
• Amendment No. 1 – 6/9/15
• Amend the offsite utility plan to line up with
preliminary engineering data.

City Obligations
• City will provide water and wastewater services to the
District.
• City will provide a water storage tank (1M gallon minimum)
for sufficient fire flow and water capacity by the connection
of the 1,500th unit.
• Oversizing of water/wastewater facilities as desired.
• City has exclusive rights to provide solid waste and recycling
services.
• City will improve Chaparral Road From SH 195 to the
eastern MUD boundary by the one year anniversary of the
1,000th unit connection ($4.1M reimbursement).

Project Timeline
• Developer anticipates design to begin in 2017.
• Initial construction late 2017 or 2018.
• Buildout currently expected to occur at a rate of 200 lots
per year.
• 1,000 connection mark estimated achievement 2023 at 200
lots per year
• 1,500 connection mark estimated to occur in 2026 at 200
lots per year.
• All timelines subject to change depending upon market
conditions.

• Escalated start date due to WCID No. 1 water treatment
plant.
• Chaparral Road Construction
• Project scores well for federal funding.
• Design is critical in qualifying for funding.
• Staff will continue to track developer progress and provide
