2. Drug addiction is not a recent problem in
Bangladesh. But it is increasing day by day.
Drug addiction is increasing at a significant rate
in Bangladesh in recent years. This agent of
human destruction has spread its tentacles all
over the world and in our country too. The
young generation is the most addicted to drugs.
And because of this drug addiction, the young
generation is going on the verge of destruction.
The quality of education is deteriorating due to
drugs. The young generation is dropping out of
education.

3. Objectives
My Objectives are
 To find out the reason for the young generation's addiction to
drugs.
 To present the horrors of drugs.
 To identify the problems caused by drugs in society.
 To find out the ways to prevent drug addiction.

4. I ask the respondents some questions. The required number of data was collected
from hundred respondents known to me. Out of 100 respondents, 37 young
women and 63 young men are addicted to drugs. The average age of the
respondents was between (18 to 30). The reasons for the young generation to get
addicted to drugs are that youth of this age are curious, they are easily influenced,
they have more friends, they lack understanding and maturity to face reality which
is difficult so they get frustrated, etc. These are the reasons why today's young
generation is addicted to drugs. Studies have shown that children from the upper
class of society are more likely to become addicted to drugs. Then the youth from
lower and middle-class families' addiction to drugs is not at all low. The younger
generation is most involved in drug addiction at the college level. At University-
level youth get involved in drug addiction relatively less. The young generation
consumes the most cigarettes. They also consume drugs like ganja, Yaba, alcohol,
opium, phensidyl, etc. I have collected all these facts and tried to review them.

5. Based on the current findings, we can
mention that many people are addicted to
drugs in Bangladesh due to peer pressure
and depression and the rate of addiction is
increasing day by day. However, drug
addiction is not only the problem of addicts
but also affects their families, communities
and society as a whole. It also creates many
social crimes in villages and
towns; Especially the social system.

6. Suggestion
Family and society have an important role in
drug prevention. Family and social
awareness, education, moderate living,
choice of friends, responsibility, engaging in
various social activities including sports,
preventing access to drugs, adopting moral
education, etc. are the ways to prevent and
treat drug addiction.
