M-Pesa Case study.
This is our last teamwork university project. This time we had to analyze M-Pesa, that is a mobile SIM card based company that facilitates the way to transfer money. M-Pesa is the first "Fintech" company because they used before everyone else the SIM card system to financial services purposes.
This app allows people to transfer money in safety and fast way.
This company was born in Kenya, they were the first to bring 4G in the country. M-Pesa represents a milestone for the African innovation ecosystem.
I want to thank my colleagues for the excellent workflow, for the collaboration during the process and for a full and totally work ethic.

Use SDN and NDV for Carrier-class orchestration. SDN and NFV will be used to build carrier services across the network, but orchestration must reflect additional requirements. It's not enough to think of it as the same as traditional orchestration focused on the data center.

Role of Operators in the Mobile App Delivery EcosystemRelayware
In this presentation we discuss the value proposition to enterprises for using mobile operators for a full set of managed mobility services, including application development and management. ANTENNA and IBM review how carriers can leverage existing best-in–class technology from enterprise software and mobility platform providers to quickly and easily offer mobility services to enterprises in need.
Highlights:
- The full promise and potential of managed mobility services for enterprises
- The various business models for operators looking to capitalize on enterprise mobility offerings
- How ANTENNA and IBM can enable carriers to rise to the top of the list for a preferred managed mobility provider
This Intel Network Builders Webinar is on Carrier-class environments for NFV lifecycle management. Communications service providers see the strong business upside from deploying NFV-based services. NFV promises to lower costs, simplify network operations, and usher in a new era of rapid service innovation. However, there are still concerns about running mission-critical, revenue- generating network functions as software applications on general purpose compute platforms rather than purpose-built appliances.
Intel, Wind River and Overture explore what is required to create a carrier grade, high-performance environment for hosting virtual network functions (VNFs).
Learn how to:
• Create a high-performance, high reliability NFV infrastructure
• Identify essential attributes needed for carrier-class management and orchestration
• Optimize the placement of VNFs and the benefits of distributed and centralized models • Support the complete service life cycle in a VNF-agnostic service environment
As economic conditions improve across Europe, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are starting to rebound. With consumers’ payment card use growing, accommodating their shifting payment preferences is increasingly valuable to merchants. As a result, the European merchant acquiring field has seen a surge in providers, old and new, offering mobile point-of-sale (m-POS) devices and attempting to differentiate themselves.
The diversity of acquirers providing m-POS devices stems from the devices’ potential to generate new revenue streams, bolster acquiring relationships, and enhance the electronic payment experience for both consumers and retailers. To date, the devices represent only a small portion of the installed POS terminal base, but signs point to their rapidly becoming the preferred checkout instrument of retailers of all sizes due to the cost and efficiency savings of these handheld terminals.

Dubai based Game Power 7 has participated in a massive conference that brings together top regional and global media and telecoms industry executives, the sixth Annual Media and Telecommunications Convergence Conference that took place in Amman on the 1st and 2nd of June.
During the conference, Mr. Fadi Mujahid General Manager of Game Power 7, delivered a presentation titled “Online Gaming and Telecom Operators The Gold Rush Convergence”
Mr. Mujahid explained in his presentation the company’s vision that telecom and media will very soon be part of the virtual worlds that are currently represented as MMO Online games. “5 years from now, kids will no longer turn on TV machines to watch TV programs, but rather, they go to the TV Room in their online world to watch their preferred programs. They will use their virtual world telecommunication facilities to communicate with friends instead of making a phone call.”
Out of this vision, the company has built a state-of-the-art game localization and culturalization facility that provides
1- Global game developers with value-added game publishing services, and
2- Telecom operators with the best gaming content to enrich their VAS, and aggregate their services to kids, teens, and young youths.
