Does God Exist Essay
Crafting an essay on the existence of God can be an intellectually challenging and thought-
provoking endeavor. The complexity of this topic lies in the inherent ambiguity and subjectivity
surrounding the concept of God. While some may approach the question from a philosophical
standpoint, delving into arguments such as the teleological, cosmological, or ontological, others
might explore the theological and religious perspectives.
The difficulty arises from the vast array of perspectives, beliefs, and counterarguments that exist
on this profound subject. Navigating through the diverse philosophical and theological traditions
requires a deep understanding of the historical context, intricate theological doctrines, and the
nuanced philosophical arguments that have evolved over centuries.
Moreover, the essay demands a careful balance between presenting various viewpoints and
offering a cohesive argument. It is essential to engage with both theistic and atheistic
perspectives, acknowledging the richness of the discourse while maintaining clarity and
coherence in one's own position.
Furthermore, the emotional and personal nature of beliefs about God adds another layer of
complexity. Writers must approach the topic with sensitivity, recognizing that individuals hold
deeply ingrained convictions shaped by personal experiences, cultural backgrounds, and
upbringing. Addressing these diverse perspectives requires a delicate balance between critical
analysis and respect for differing viewpoints.
In conclusion, tackling the question of God's existence in an essay involves navigating through a
labyrinth of philosophical, theological, and personal perspectives. It requires a comprehensive
understanding of the subject matter, an ability to synthesize diverse arguments, and a sensitivity
to the deeply personal nature of beliefs. Crafting a compelling essay on this topic necessitates a
blend of intellectual rigor, empathy, and clarity of expression.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Multi Core Processor
Generally the CPU has fetch, decode, and execute operation. Most of today s multi
core processors feature shared caches. In shared caches the caches are splitted into
blocks and are used randomly by each core in a multi core processor. Because of
this there is severe delay experienced by each core and the processing speed is also
reduced. This happens due to more time taken for read operation of memory and
CPU. The problem faced by such architectures is cache contention. So far the time
required for fetching is more when compared to the execution process. The fetching
time must be reduced. Hence to address this problem, we have implemented a
program that allows the usage of cache memory for each core of a processor at same
time. In our concept, we execute all jobs of each... Show more content on

ADVANTAGES OF MULTI CORE PROCESSOR The maximum energy in the
processing will be visualized in developing the time while simulating the CPU
processes like scanning of anti virus, writing, reading, and burning the data.
Thinking that the die is set into the package in a physical manner, then the multiple
core processor implementations will need very little space for PCB than the
multiple chip SMP implementation. Also, a two core processor utilizes very little
amount of power than the two strongly bonded single core processor, due to the
reduced power needed to transmit the signals outer material to the chip. XIII.
EQUATIONS If we consider that the fetching and execution process are on various
blocks of cache then the quantity of the process being simulated is 1/n. also if it is
said that they are developed on the similar block of cache memory being executed
is k/n, where k is the quantity of fetch and execute process being performed. P is said
to be the full quantity of cores. N is the full quantity of blocks of cache. The CPU

Specific Inventions During The Industrial Revolution
Inventions and or Specific Inventors
Inventions and or specific inventors have had a big impact on society. Between the
18th and 19th century there were many inventions being built during the industrial
revolution. Some inventions that played a role during the industrial revolution were
the spinning jenny, steam engine, cotton gin and many other things. Some of them
were game changers like the spinning jenny which lead to the mass production of
textile and the steam engine which lead to faster travel and more trade.
A famous inventor, Thomas Edisoncreated many marvelous things but is mostly
known for the light bulb. He also created the phonograph which was a modified
version of a telegraph. He noticed the tape of the machine gave of a noise sounding
like a spoken voice. Unlike the telegraph, the phonograph played cylinders rather than
discs. The machine had two needles: one for recording and one for playback. When

The cotton gin is a machine designed to remove cotton from its seeds. The process
uses a small screen and pulling hooks to force the cotton through the screen. It was
invented by Eli Whitney on March 14, 1794. It was one of the many inventions made
during the industrial revolution. The cotton gin made the cotton industry of the south
explode. Previous to its invention, separating cotton fibers from its seeds was a labor
that was intensive and unprofitable since picking cotton was very dangerous.
Thomas Edison s creation of the phonograph, Jame Watt s perfected steam engine,
and Eli Whitney s cotton gin have all had a great impact back on society in the 18th
and 19th century. The mass production caused by the spinning jenny and the ability
to communicate from afar with the phonograph were game changers in the industrial
revolution. There are many inventions that changed the world but these have had

Cheaper College Education
A topic that is hotly debated all over the world, asks Should college education be
cheaper? Although some people believe that college education shouldn t be cheaper
because Students may not learn to become as financially literate. I believe that
college should be cheaper for many reasons; such as, more people will want to go to
college, more people will have a higher education, (which solves more problems) and
best of all, it saves money.
I believe that more people would want to go to college if it were cheaper. A lot of
students can not attend college due to the fact that their parents can t afford to help
them out or they don t have a high paying job yet. Having cheaper college tuition will

In some ways lowering the cost of college education doesn t help, for example
(2017, http://www.trade schools.net/ articles /should college be free.asp Students
might take their college education less seriously if they don t have to pay for it.
So graduation numbers might drop, or the people who do graduate might not be
as well prepared for the workforce. But more than likely more students will take
college education more seriously since they have the chance to participate in
college without having to worry about the cost. One thing that we can do to change
the cost of college education would be to lower the cost of education by a little bit
for a year and see how many more students go to college. We could monitor the
statistics from year to year until we figure out a plan that helps
Amethyst Research Paper
Birthstone Amethyst
The deep purple amethyst has long been assigned spirital, purifying and protective
qualities. Found across the world its use has been traced back to Neolithic Europe. It
holds strong associations to love, healing and both physical and spiritual protection.
It s energies are that of fire, it is said to inflame the passions and spark creativity,
boost spirituality and encourage both logic and temperance in the wearer.
Most closely associated with St Valentine, Bachuss, and Dionysus, it represents
faithful love and ecclesiastical dignity. In the Chakra the amethyst is the stone of the
Crown Chakra, aiding in the connection to the divine. The amethyst is ruled by both

In Ancient Egypt it was valued for its healing and protective properties. They
believed that the stone could bring relief from both guilt and fear and protect the

How Does Tennyson Use Language In The Charge Of The
Light...
The poem The Charge of the Light Brigade, written by Alfred Tennyson is a
mГ©lange of diverse elements. At heart, it is a free verse epic designed to
memorialize the bravery of the six hundred men who readily rode into the valley of
Death under the aegis of patriotism. Tennyson uses this poem not glorify the battle
itself but, rather the soldiers who were an epitome of obedience and valor in spite of
the blunders made by their superiors.
In the first stanza, Tennyson, with his apt use of repetition and language, is able to
offer the reader a ringside seat to the action on the battlefield as the Light Brigade is
ordered to charge into enemy lines in the pursuit of guns. He quickly engages the
reader by opening with: HALF a league, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are not well equipped, yet they continue to fight. It is this due to
demonstration of valiance that All the world wonder d . The ambiguity in what
exactly the people were perplexed about were they perplexed by the soldiers
bravery or by the fact that they were consciously sent to fight a losing battle, gives
the reader the freedom to use their imagination to explore the plethora of emotions
felt by the people back home at the time of this battle. The theme of inescapability
and inescapabilty are further established in the following line through strong
diction: Plunged in the battery smoke . The word plunged has connotations of
helplessness, allowing the reader to imagine the utter desperation experienced by
the soldier as he is consumed by smoke. The sheer horror of this image allows the
reader to appreciate the soldier s bravery in such horrible times. It is due to this
valor that the soldiers seem to emerge victorious as suggested by the lines: Reel d
from the sabre stroke/ Shatter d and sunder d. However, the victory is not as
joyous as the reader would like to believe They rode back, but not/ Not the six
hundred. The repetition of not is used to ensure that the reader is painfully aware of
the fact that not everyone survived. Only the lucky few were able ride back,
unscathed, from the valley of
Colonial Period Of Slavery Essay
The time period from 1607 1775, that formed the foundation the original thirteen
colonies, is referred to as the colonial period of slavery (Clark Pujara 9/19). During
the colonial period of slavery, indentured servants and African slaves were
essential factors for making the colonies successful by means of forced labor.
Specifically, African slaves were the main source of labor workers and they
consisted of several types of African slaves such as the including the saltwater
slaves, slaves directly from Africa, seasoned slaves slaves from the Caribbean, and
creole slaves the first generation of North American slaves (Franklin pg. 65). The
Chesapeake was one of four regions that were predominant throughout the colonial
period and it consists of colonies Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland. The
Chesapeake region was first explored and settled in 1580 by the English. This area
soon became popular place for wealthy English men due to the rising tobacco
cultivation and consequently English men wanting to maximize their tobacco profits
in the Chesapeake region switch from a model of indentured servitude to African
slaveryand created a legal system to justify race based slavery (Clark Pujara 9.19)
The main goal of the European colonist of the Chesapeake region was to continue
the growth and expansion of the tobacco industry. In order to complete this task, they
need laborers. In 1619, the first 20 African slaves came directly from African by
means of a Dutch ship and entered

How Did Martin Luther King Jr Influence Our Society
The condition of our society today as we know it could only be shaped by the
historical figures and occurrences that have influenced our culture, as well as many
others. History is always changing, and affects many aspects of the world that would
not be the same without it. Martin Luther King Jr. is a man whom was inspired by
his faith in religion, nonviolent activist Mahatma Gandhi, and his desire for equality
to make a difference in society today. King fought for equality between African
Americans and whites, civil rights, and diversity in America to unite our country and
be at peace.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, a southern part of the United
States that was still struggling with the involvement of racial discrimination and
segregation. He grew up in a strictly religious family following the Christian Baptist
denomination faith. His father taught him to protest racial discrimination peacefully

The Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt
The Muslim Brotherhood has been part politics in Egypt for more than 80 years. It
was originally formed by Hassan al Banna in 1928. The Muslim Brotherhood is a
combination religious and political group based on the belief that Islam is not just a
religion, but a way of life. It dictates a separation from secularism, returning to the
rules of the Quran based on healthy families, communities, and states. The
brotherhood focused on two key principles. They are (1), the introduction of the
Islamic Sharia or way of life or principles, by controlling the affairs of state and
society, and (2), working to achieve unification of the Islamic countries and states,
mainly among the Arab states, and liberating them from foreign imperialism. The
group concentrated on religion, education and social services. As its membership
grew, it moved into the political sphere, organizing protests against the Egyptian
government. The Brotherhood is the oldest and largest opposition group in Egypt. It
has had widespread support among Egypt s middle classes, and its members control
many of the country s professional organizations. Up until 2011, under Egyptian law,
it banned all parties based solely on religion. Sayyid Qutb, a member of the Muslim
Brotherhoodin the 1950s and 1960s, developed the doctrine of jihad, and the radical
group Hamas. It is believed to be an offshoot of the Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood.
Egypt s Islamists and the Muslim Brotherhood have a history of perseverance.

Rockets are amazing machines that are capable of carrying man into space and
one day beyond. This report will cover the history of rockets, how and why they
fly, what they are made of, and the different types of fuel that they use. Rockets
have been around for centuries understanding how they fly, what they are made of,
and the kinds of fuel that they use will allow mankind to make better
improvements in the future. The history of rockets dates back centuries to when
the Chinese used them to launch fireworks. Dr. Robert H. Goddard is known as
the ,father of modern rocketry. He was the first man to successfully build and
launch a rocket powered by liquid fuel (American Rocketry Pioneer, 9/25/15). His
findings are still used in modern day rockets all around the world. Ultimately it was
his finding that lead to President Nixon s approval of the space shuttle program in
1972 (Kerod, 2005). Even though Nasa had already been established they didn t have
a space shuttle program. When the first rocket was launched all that was retrieved

Thrust is a propulsive force that allow something to move (How Thing Fly, 9/25

space there are two major factors that work against thrust and lift. These forces are
drag and gravity. Drag is the force that works against thrust it is a pulling or
slowing force. Gravity is the downward force that act against lift; gravity is the
downward motion that pulls mass to the earth or some other large mass. Rockets
also have two solid fuel boosters that create a large amount of lift and propulsion to

problems were minor for example of assistance of untrained staff, delay of egress

minor corrective actions were implemented before the show, then this tragedy is

Decision Making Models In Hal Rainey s Understanding
And...
In the context of public organizations, there are a number of decision making
models that can applied to the actions of these organizations. In his book
Understanding and Managing Public Organizations, Hal Rainey outlines a number
of different theories of organizational decision making that explain why
organizations do what they do. The three most prominent theories he describes are
rational decision making, incremental decision making, and mixed scanning. Each
of these will be discussed in depth for their merit and shortfalls. Rational decision
making is the first and simplest method of making decisions. It is the least
complex model of decision making and it has essentially four baseline factors that
play into it. According to Rainey, rational decision making takes place when the
actor making decisions is aware of and understands the goal that he or she is trying
to complete. In addition, the actor must be able to determine the importance of the
goals being evaluated and then prioritize them accordingly. After this has been done
the actor looks at and evaluates all the different ways that a goal can be
accomplished, and as a result the actor chooses the action that accomplishes the
target goal the most efficiently and effectively. Due to the often times, complex and
politically volatile nature of the public sector, rational decision making models are
best applied to less important decisions. For example, a rational decision making
model can be applied to day to day
Reflection On The James E. Lewis Museum Of Art Exhibit
On October 09, 2015 at around 11:15 am, I visited the James E. Lewis Museum of
Art in the Murphy Fine Arts Building. When first arriving, I expected to view art that
was similar to the National Gallery of Art, but I wrong. The museum had just begun a
new show titled, Promenades and Reveries the Art of Lawrence Hurst Exhibit. This
art exhibition was not the only art on display at the museum, but to me it was the
most entrancing.
The Promenades and Reveries Exhibit is showcasing the amazingly poignant
artwork of Lawrence Hurst. Lawrence Hurst s exhibit is a mixture of different
mediums, colors and ideas. The majority of the paintings have an Afrocentric feel, as

Grandma s House, as was the rest of the paintings mentioned, is depicted on acrylic
paper. It is not similar to any of the previous paintings mentioned, yet it is still
tremendously captivating. In the center of the painting is a brown woman, with a
tan hat. The woman s head is down, and the spectator can only behold the outline of
her eyes and nose. Yet, she has her hands clasp as if she is actually carrying the
miniature brown trees, with abundantly green leaves, that are directly in between her
head and hands. The backdrop of the painting is in a quasi checkerboard pattern,
with medium size squares, the corners are a sandy yellow color that could be
considered fulvous, while the other squares are a lutescent yellow, meaning it is not
bright, while not dull either. Though these paintings are specific pieces in a collection

Malthus And Overpopulation Research
In the late eighteenth century, Reverend Thomas Robert Malthus described how
human population, when unchecked, grows exponentially while resources
(specifically food) exhibits arithmetical growth (Moseley, Perramond, Hapkie, Laris,
2014). Malthus primarily blamed the poor for high fertility rates and argued for the
abolishment of all welfare, believing that if the poor succumbed to the negative
effects of poverty, overpopulation could be stopped. While this may seem a
distasteful solution to modern environmentalists, one cannot completely erase
populationfrom the environmentalist equation. Despite the technological advances
that rendered much of Malthus musings passГ©, one cannot ignore the idea that the

Examples Of Social Power In Les Liaisons Fantomina
Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Fantomina: Social Power, Female Desire and
Sensibility
Introduction
These two novels depict women in Les Liaisons Dangereuses Marquise and
Fantomina s titular character who are unusually empowered. The two are high born
socialites who enjoy good reputations in society, wealth, and standing. They also
take a distanced view toward sex and sexual fulfillment the Marquise, after a long
career of seduction, views it as a game played earnestly by others, while Fantomina
uses love and sex as a means to unprecedented social freedom of movement. This
positions the two heroines in complex ways with respect to sensibility. Each
acknowledges and usurps the received notions of female modesty and artifice to

But perhaps the most dramatic display of men defiling women occurs in Les
Liasons, when the Vicomte seduces and forces himself on CГ©cile, who had been
heretofore the novel s most innocent and unsullied character (McAlpin, 2009). This
symbolism is underlined by the developing, and authentic, relationship between
CГ©cile, innocent and naive, and the Marquise herself, the grand dame and high
class lady who knows the social order like the back of her hand. It is even more
significant, perhaps, that CГ©cile survives her association with the corrupt Marquise,
undaunted in her love and original affection for Daneceny. In fact, though the
Marquise wishes to convince CГ©cile of her own view, that love is false and not
worth pursuing, CГ©cile emerges (somewhat) triumphant, at least in the knowledge
that the influence of the Marquise has not altered her vision of life, and her
relationship with Danceny (McAlpin, 2009). In this sense, the true attempted
defilement of CГ©cile is not in the Vicomte s successful, if forceful, seduction; but
the failure of the much more powerful Marquise to turn CГ©cile into a lady libertine
like herself. This failure is meant to underline a basic truth about the Marquise: while
sophisticated socially and the master of manipulating the psychology of those around
her, she is still animated by no great passion that
Classroom Reflection
Dr. Karen Lea (2016) stated that aggressive behavior has been shown to grow from
overly severe and punitive parenting, association with highly aggressive peers, and
heavy viewing of television and film violence. Several of my students have clearly
experienced such environmental influences which have led to the development of
attention seeking behaviors, violent behaviors, poor attitudes towards school and
learning, truancy, and below average academic progress. My students have also
faced poverty, close family ties to gang activity, death or incarceration of a parent,
lack of parental supervision, abuse, hunger, online bullying, inconsistent friendships,
and rape.
After initially interacting with these students, parents, school, and community, I
knew I had to make some important changes to my role as a teacher. I learned right
away that I had to make a connection with each one of my students. I made a rule
that each morning we greeted each other at the door, looked each other in the eye,
and had to either shake hands, high five or fist pump as recognition to each other.
Afterward, we were ready to start our day together. I also made and will continue to
make it a point to learn at least one thing about each student I work with. They love it
when on Monday morning I ask them, Did you win your soccer game on Saturday?
or Did your family have another party this weekend? Students light up when you
show genuine interest in them or something that is important to them.
I also know it is vital to connect with the parents or guardians. I will be moving up
to sixth grade next year, but I still plan on reaching out to and being open to
communicating with all parents. Therefore, I will have a class website with a
calendar keeping students and parents up to date on assignments, test, due dates, etc.
I will also upload homework, so parents or students will have access to anything
they forgot at school. Additionally, I will continue to write a weekly newsletter and
post it on the website as well as send home copies for families that need them. I will
set up a class Remind system which is a convenient and quick form of communication
through a safe messaging system parents can use on their phones or computers.
Personal Narrative On Kickball
It was a cloudy fall day. I was outside my house playing kickball. I loved playing kick
ball, it was my favorite game to play outside. I was at first base when my neighbor,

watched as my other neighbor, Jeffrey, pulled his arm back and let go of the ball. I
could see it rolling towards Jessie. When she kicked the ball, it came rolling right to
me. Quickly I got set and the ball rolled right into my hand, but it squashed my pinky
finger. I got Jessie out and threw the ball back to Jeffrey. My finger started to hurt,
it was like a heart pounding in my finger. I looked down and my pinky and it did
not look normal. Oh no, I said, this doesn t look right. Woah, what happened! asked

Anyone Lived In A Pretty How Town And The Great Gatsby
Love is beautiful but cruel
In the book, The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the main characters struggle to
get someone to love them. E. E. Cummings poem anyone lived in a pretty how town,
also focuses on love. Both works show that love is beautiful but cruel. This is
demonstrated through both writers use of tone, imagery, and symbolism.
The theme ,of the The Great Gatsby is love is beautiful but cruel. You can see this in
the book. An example of this is when Gatsby loves Daisy but Daisy is married to
Tom. The theme of the poem anyone lived in a pretty how town is love and time
goes on. An example of this is line 3, 11, and 34 are the seasons and 8, 21, and 36 is
the night sky. Both seasons and night sky have romantic ties to them. In both of the
writings use romance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is because it was symbolic to him because it was hoped that Daisy would
come over to his house, but when daisy come over that s when it lost its meaning.
The reason is that when come over Gatsby lost the feeling of waiting for daisy to
come over. He chose the green light because it was at the end of daisy s dock. In the
poem, it talked about the seasons that went by when they re together. It symbolizes
how much time they spent together all the seasons passing spring, winter, summer,
and fall (line 3, 11, and 34 Cummings, E. E. print). That symbolizes how much they

Moving To Overtide Short Story
4
The family of four moved to Overtide when Elis was still a babe in the world s
eyes. Adam Fisker had been given a job offer and after weeks of debate and
planning, he and Katja had made the decision to go with it. Move to Overtide. It was
easy to sway little Elis then, but young Niklas wanted nothing to do with it. The elder
brother hid in the tree house for days, finally coming in when a storm brewed.
Nick left betrayed: first a new child was in their family and now they were leaving
their home. Probably forever. Never to return. Even if his parent s promised to
return during the summer, it was still forever. During the move it was Nick s job to
watch his baby brother and he did nothing to hide is disagreement with the role. At
least his baby brother didn t cry much and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was still at the top of his class with Hanayo and participating in a few groups, but
he mostly kept to himself. Even the kids that were constantly baiting him into fights
couldn t get a rise out of Elis. Hanayo took his place and they quickly stopped
bothering the group.
Days were spent in comfortable silence from Elis when they were together. He d
lean against James broad back and listen to Hanayo try and tutor Barry. When she
would get annoyed she d switch to her native language and tutor him just to annoy
the boy. At the end of the day it was James that Elis walked home with, the two
living in the dorms together. It was James that was the best company Elis could find,
his friend never pried or tried to get Elis to talk.
It was in the quiet nights that as the fair teen stared up at his ceiling with sleeping
slipping from his grasp, that he questioned everything. Why he was still in the
school? What he was going to do next? What could he do? He avoided the truth that
his brother broke his promise, that he never coming back and nothing would change

remember hearing about that. So um would you like me to pick you up then? Say
six o clock still? Yeah, okay, fine, sounds good. Six o clock rolled around, and there
he was waiting in the driveway right on the dot. Sorry about the smell, I just came

Racism And Racism Essay
Although these reasons have some legitimacy, other issues stated such as
unfamiliarity with blacks, disdain for black culture, fear of black people, especially
men, and the perception that most blacks do not take care of their properties, feed
directly into racial stereotypes based upon negative media depictions, and long lasting
narratives about the social conditions of blacks.
Many examples are given from reports by The City of Detroit Commission on
Community Relations which came out of the City of Detroit Mayor s Interracial
Committee. The Interracial Committee was started by Mayor Edward Jeffries in
1943 as a result of the Detroit race riot of June, 1943. Documented in a report from

Black Bottom, Paradise Valley and the Urban Removal Problem Black migration into
the city of Detroit relegated them to an area east of Woodward Avenue, the main
thoroughfare in the metropolis, south of Grand Boulevard, north of the Grand Trunk
Railroad tracks near the Detroit River and west of Gratiot Avenue (Sugrue 47;
Williams 6 7). The largest concentration of blacks lived in the area called Black
Bottom, originally named because of the rich black soil of the grounds, and the
original settlers after the French and British colonizers, were immigrants consisting
of Germans, Irish, Romanian, Italian, and Polish and Russian Jews (Williams 7 15).
As more blacks moved into Detroit the immigrants stated to relocate in other parts of
the city, and with the masses of people looking for jobs and improved opportunities

Spanish Civil War Essay
Spanish Civil War
(1936 39), military revolt against the Republican government of Spain, supported by
conservative elements within the country. When an initial military coup failed to win
control of the entire country, a bloody civil war ensued, fought with great ferocity on
both sides. The Nationalists, as the rebels were called, received aid from fascist Italy
and Nazi Germany. The Republicans received aid from the Soviet Union, as well as
from International Brigades, composed of volunteers from Europe and the United
States.
The war was an outcome of a polarization of Spanish life and politics that had
developed over previous decades. On one side (the Nationalist) were most Roman
Catholics, important elements of the military, most ... Show more content on

The matter of how many were killed remains highly contentious; however, it is
generally believed that the toll of Nationalist violence was higher. In any event, the
proliferation of executions, murders, and assassinations on both sides reflects the
great passions that the Civil War unleashed.
The captaincy of the Nationalists was gradually assumed by General Franco,
leading forces he had brought from Morocco. On October 1, 1936, he was named
head of state and set up a government in Burgos. The Republican government,
beginning in September 1936, was headed by the socialist leader Francisco Largo
Caballero. He was followed in May 1937 by Juan NegrГn, also a socialist, who
remained premier throughout the remainder of the war and served as premier in
exile until 1945. The president of the Spanish Republic until nearly the end of the
war was Manuel AzaГ±a, an anticlerical liberal. Internecine conflict compromised the
Republican effort from the outset. On one side were the anarchists and militant
socialists, who viewed the war as a revolutionary struggle and spearheaded
widespread collectivization of agriculture, industry, and services; on the other were
the more moderate socialists and republicans, whose objective was the preservation
of the Republic. Seeking allies against the threat of Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union
had embraced a Popular Front strategy, and

How Did Jane Addams Contribute To Social Work
Jane Addams born September 6, 1860 was a very inspiring woman, a pioneer in
the social work field. In Jane Addams American social reformer it states Jane
Addams is best known as the founder of Hull House in Chicago, one of the first
social settlements in North America. Addams was known for many things
philanthropist, women s rights activist, and social reformer. Very keen role Jane
played in the social advances of social work with her contributions to the field.
Addams s childhood was mostly privileged, the eighth of nine children fathered by
a state senator and businessman. Jane s father had close ties to President Abraham
Lincoln, so its safe to say Jane really didn t have a hard life that would in other words

would help people in need of basic needs such as food, water, and shelter. Addams

Addams and Starr both co founded the Chicago Hull House. At this institution

Filibuster Process
In this paper I will be defining and explaining the process of Filibuster and Judicial
Review. A Filibuster being mainly focused on how it is conducted in the US
senate, and the rules that go with it. A Judicial Review and how it may be called
for and the process that goes with it. As well as how both actions relate to the
process of making and implementing laws. A Filibuster by definition an action
such as a prolonged speech that obstructs progress in a legislative assembly while
not technically contravening the required procedures. (Google Search) A
Filibuster can also be used as a tactic to stop a piece of legislation from passing,
and has been a common tool in the minority party arsenal for a very long time.
Once a senator has started a Filibuster he or she may continue to speak on any topic
or subject, and can only be stopped by a three fifths closure vote by the other
members of the senate. It was also applicable in the House of Representatives until
1842 when rules were adopted to limit the time of debate.... Show more content on

In other words the senate can change the rules of the functions and procedures that
go on in the senate. A good example of such rule changes occurred in 2013 when
the democrat controlled senate voted to change the rule required to end a
Filibuster; Instead of there being a 3/5 closure vote a the rule that now exists is
only a majority vote, aka 51 or grater votes. This dramatically benefited in the
passing of laws during the Obama Presidency, but as of the writing of this paper has
since backfired on them as the senate is now controlled by a majority republican
party, thus rendering the Filibuster completely
Lean Burn Combustion
Lean burn refers to the use of lean mixtures in an internal combustion engine. The
air fuel ratios can be as high as 65:1, so the mixture has considerably less fuel in
comparison to the stoichiometric combustion ratio (14.7:1 for petrol for example).

Heavy duty lean burn gas engines admit as much as 75% more air than theoretically
needed for complete combustion into the combustion chambers. The extremely weak
air fuel mixtures lead to lower combustion temperatures and therefore lower NOx
formation. While lean burn gas engines offer higher theoretical thermal efficiencies,
transient response and performance may be compromised in certain situations. Lean
burn gas engines are almost always turbocharged, resulting high power and torque
figures not achieveable with stoichiometric engines due to high combustion
temperatures.
Heavy duty gas engines may employ precombustion chambers in the cylinder head. A
lean gas and air mixture is first highly compressed in the main chamber by the piston.
A much richer, though much lesser volume gas/air mixture is introduced to the
precombustion chamber and ignited by spark plug. The flame front spreads to the
lean gas air mixture in the cylinder.
This two stage lean burn combustion produces low NOx and no particulate emissions.
Thermal efficiency is better as higher compression ratios are achieved.
Manufacturers of heavy duty lean burn gas engines include GE Jenbacher, MAN
Diesel amp; Turbo, Wärtsilä, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Rolls Royce plc.

Apple Security Breach Essay
Allen Levet Article Summary After the recent security breach Apple s iCloud has
faced this past August, Jeremy Kirk writes about Apple trying to tighten security.
The CEO of Apple claims that there was an authentication method that used two
factors to protect the accounts. Apple tries to place the blame on the victims by
claiming that the victims did not enable the security correctly. One of the leading
theories on the security breach is that the hackers used a script to brute force the
password. The script was hypothesized to be used on a service that is provided by
Apple called Find My Phone. This service was not acknowledged by Apple as
having any type of flaw or hole in the security. Kirk also writes that the celebrities

Cell phones and storing personal data on them is becoming increasingly common
and needs to be protected. Apple should have all security settings turned on by
default, or have the user set it up as they purchase the phone. These leaked
photographs were an extreme way to point out something that should have been
obvious to most users, if there is personal data on an electronic device than it needs
to be protected. Apple is not completely in the wrong though; the users should have
been more protective of their data and not had such personal pictures. This beef up
in security is only the first step in what should be done. There should be multiple
steps and warnings to protect accounts especially when accounts have potentially
personal information on them. As phones become more powerful and have more
storage, more personal data will be kept on there and more hackers will be trying
to access this data. The developers need to implement a system where based on how
many times a person tries to log in, it will lock them out and make them reset their
password in order to neutralize the brute force scripts. Users also need to become
more informed on when to enter information into a website so that they are not

The only department that will be utilizing the computerized coding assistant is the
health information department mainly our coding staff. The HIM staff will mainly
use this system in order to help smooth the coding process of charts, check to make
sure all codes are correct before being submitted for billing, and to help them
identify codes for diagnosis or procedures they are unfamiliar with. The receptionists
in the different departments may also utilize the system if a time were ever to arise
in order to assist the coders with work load.
The only projects that the organization is currently undergoing is the preparation for
the implementation of the new ICD 10 coding. We are hoping that with the new
computer coding assistant that it will help the HIM staff transition better and be
able to look up the new codes for all the diagnosis and procedures more easily and
quickly.

The Tar Heel Family Resort Development Plan
For every situation that Martin had to deal with, the battle against eminent domain in
regard to his coastal property is where there is a disagreement. Although, the Kelo
case gave precedence to the confiscation of personal property for economic
development, the party that is executing the condemnation must prove that the
confiscation will lead to an economic development that will benefit the common
good. Within the proposal of the Tar Heel Family Resort development plan, there is
no indication that the development would be for public use. The only broad stroke
benefit it may apply to the public is the creation of jobs, which, if the judge uses a
broad visionary approach to the concept of eminent domain, the resort may succeed.
However, if the judge uses a narrow scope of the term, and that eminent domain will
only hold if it s for public accommodations, then Martin will succeed. The two
categories are further detailed by Hoyman and McCall:
The first category, the narrow justification of eminent domain authority, means that
the power is used for traditional public use (Epstein 2005), such as water and sewer
systems, prisons, roads, hospitals, government office buildings, and other similar
projects. The second category, the broad interpretation of permissible eminent domain
use, includes private redevelopment projects that arguably would benefit the public
at large (Malloy 2008), by bringing jobs and revenue to a particular jurisdiction (P.
886).

The Physical Journey In The Odyssey And The Kite Runner
The physical journey of a character plays a central role in the book and influences
many parts of it. Both The Odyssey and The Kite Runner, have main characters that
go through a physical journey for different reasons that impacts their lives in many
ways. By introspecting the books themes, archetypes, and symbols, it is more
comprehensible. In The Odysseyand The Kite Runner both, the physical journey
augments to the meaning of the books in total.
An important theme that relates to the physical journey in The Kite Runner is the
past. The influence of the past affects Amir in his life as we see from the very first
sentence of the book until the end. I became what I am today at the age of twelve,
on a frigid overcast day in the winter of the 1975... That was a long time ago, but it
s wrong what they say about the past, I ve learned, about how you can bury it.
Because the past claws its way out. Looking back now, I realize I have been
peeking into that deserted alley for the last twenty six years, (Hosseini 1).
Throughout the book, Amir s past haunts him in every action he takes and the
journey for his redemption. To Amir, the past defines who he currently is. All of
his feelings of guilt stimulate him to make up for his mistakes. For example, he
feels responsible for the events leading up to Hassan s murder by the Taliban
because he pushed Hassan and Ali out of Baba s house. So, years later when he
goes back to visit Rahim Khan, Amir is told to make amends by finding his nephew,
Sohrab. The past is mentioned in many parts of the book in his quest, Amir faces
many obstacles from his past.
In The Odyssey, the theme of loyalty relates to Odysseuss physical journey back to
Ithaca. Many characters in the epic are loyal and faithful, like Penelope,
Telemachus, Eumaeus, and even Odysseus himself. Penelope remains loyal to her
husband, by not choosing a suitor during the 20 years he s gone. And there she
[Penelope] sat down with the case on her knees and burst into sobs as she drew out
her husband s bow, (Homer 317). Just carrying out Odysseus s bow with such
sorrow shows how in love she was with Odysseus and how the thought of choosing a
new husband moved her to tears. As Penelope remained loyal to Odysseus and

with subjective art where nothing is definite. Overall, any drawing that is created
will have at least one of the concepts shown in this collection. It does not matter
whether the image is hundreds of years old or will not be created for another

Social
Majority of people benefited from the reforms set in place by Napoleon, this is due
to the fact that under his law everyone was applicable for the same punishment is
they did the same crime as someone in the lower classes, however those that were
left out of Napoleon s new fair laws were sadly, women
The rights that women gained throughout the French Revolution began fading with
Napoleon s attitude towards women was shown through his social policies
They had to follow their husband s orders and they couldn t make legal contracts,
even divorce became more circumstantial for women than for men
These acts agreed with other European Leaders which made it, at the time of course,
ok to do
Besides radical revolutionaries not many supported women s rights, most believed in
the rule of the husband being appropriate in a traditional family structure (said to be
the foundation of society)
They had less rights with Napoleon but the same as everyone else in Europe
Economic
Napoleon tried to address France s financial problems, even the revolutionary
governments saw how the awful system for taxing led to such great economic
problems
Tax farmers were the main way that taxes were collected in France, tax farmers are
people that buy this job to collect taxes but instead of giving the taxes to the
government they keep much of it for themselves, therefore nobody really liked these

and place. The protagonist, Aku nna Odia, is an unmarried teenage girl who is
kidnapped by Okoboshi Obidi s familyand forced to marry him. Later in the novel,
she is rescued by Chike, a man that she falls in love with and marries. She is not
supposed to be with Chike because it is shameful to her family because he is a
descendent of slaves. Aku Nna later dies in childbirth and Chike is left with his
baby, Joy. One of her last statements is that only in death will she win her freedom.
Although this novel is a fictional story, Emecheta weaves in semi autobiographical
elements and situations. She illustrates the theme of male dominance and women
compliance to men. The men in Nigerian societies are expected to be strong and
powerful, while the women are expected to be the opposite. The men act as the
head of the family as they are the ones who make all the money and decisions.
Women on the other hand were demanded to give birth to healthy males and do
household work. In the novel, Ezekiel Odia, the father of the Odia family, works a
full time job at the Loco Yard and when he dies his family is left to fend for
themselves. In this culture, it is

Snapshot Of A Daughter-In-Law, By Gwendolyn Brooks
And...
Women have had to fight for their rights since 1848, the Seneca Falls Convention,
which was a time when women gathered in collaboration to go to war for their
political rights. Although women are now granted the freedom to vote, work
outside of the household, and even hold government positions, they still are held
back by society every day. Two noble female poets, Gwendolyn Brooks and
Adrienne Rich, illustrate how women should live for their own kind of happiness.
Sadie and Maude by Gwendolyn Brooks and Snapshot of a Daughter In Law by
Adrienne Rich show readers that if women do what is right according to society we
will not truly live a life of happiness. The poets illustrate the idea of women breaking

/Under her maiden name (9 10). This is especially intriguing because not only did
Sadie stay home from college but she conceived children out of wedlock. It is
critical to record that Brooks noted that Sadie not only bore a child once, but twice.
Society would consider her giving birth out of wedlock as a sin or a mistake,
however Sadie demonstrated that she did not agree. It is safe to say that if she
repented the decision to have children outside of a marriage, she would not have
done so twice. Brooks goes on to say: Maud and Ma and Papa Nearly died of
shame. Every one but Sadie Nearly died of shame (11 14). This quote shows the
judgement imposed on Sadie by her family and every one for stepping out of the
norms of society: a young and single mother of two. It is important to mention that
Brooks says Maud and Ma and Papa instead of separating them by commas. The
reader can assume that she does this to reiterate a long and dragged out list of who
is against her choices. Nearly died of shame is especially interesting because this is
statement is a hyperbole which stated twice within these four lines. Rather than
dying from a natural cause like a heart attack, they almost died from the simple fact
that Sadie did not abide by their rules. The repetition adds more emphasis on how
completely ridiculous her family is. They are
Taking a Look at Knowledge Management
In order to understand knowledge management, it is important to start by defining
what knowledge is. Knowledge is the full utilization of information and data, coupled
with the potential of people s skills, competencies, ideas, intuitions, commitments and
motivations. In today s dynamic and complex business environment, the desire for
knowledge has increased even more with the scope and content changed dramatically,
often spreading outside the organization.
Firstly, Polanyi (1958) coined the term tacit and divided knowledge into tacit
knowledge and explicit knowledge based on the degree of expression and he says
We know more than we can tell . Tacit knowledge is the knowledge embedded in
people s mind, usually easy to observe but hard to formalize and communicate to
others. A good example given for it is the knowledge on how to ride a bicycle or
drive a car. Whereas for the explicit knowledge can be easily captured and stored,
hence it can be transferred and communicated to others. The most common form of
explicit knowledge is manuals, documents, procedures and others.
What is knowledge management? According to experts, it fosters the creation,
accumulation, organization, reuse, retrieval, sharing, and transfer of knowledge in
organizations (Alavi and Leidner, 2001; Liebowitz, 1999). Wiig, also defined it as a
group of clearly defined process or methods used to search important knowledge
among different knowledge management operations. The Gartner Group (2005) has
Wolfgang Gottlieb Mozart s Life Essay
Joannes Chrisostomus Wolfgang Gottlieb Mozart was born January 27, 1756 in
his family s third floor apartment at 9 Getreidegasse, to Leopold and Anna Maria
Pertl Mozart in the city of Salzburg, which is now Austria. At the time, Salzburg
was part of the Holy Roman Empire. Mozart was baptized the day after his birth,
January 28, 1756 at St. Rupert s Cathedral. Mozart had six siblings and the only
sibling who survived after birth was his older sister, Maria Anna, who had the
nickname Nannerl.
Wolfgang was his grandfather s name. Gottlieb, his godfather s surname, was later
translated into Amadeus. Mozart confirmed that he would be called Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart.
His father, Leopold Mozart was a German who was a violinist at the prince
archbishop s court, as well as a musician, conductor, composer, and teacher. In the
year of Wolfgang s birth he published what became a standard book on the
technique of playing the violin and the following year he was appointed court
composer. His mother Anna Maria, was very supportive of Mozart s father. Mozart
was Leopold and Anna s last child.
Leopold was very big on making sure his two children succeed. He wanted to
develop their talents to a high maximum, to make money and raise his social
status, because he gave up on his own composing. Although Leopold pushed the
children to do best for his social status, Leopold saw it as his role as a father to the
children. Leopold s wife, agreed on all of his actions towards Mozart and Maria Anna.
The Broken Window Model Of Wilson And Keiling
According to http://cebcp.org, Broken window model focuses on the importance of
disorder (e.g., broken windows) in generating and sustaining more serious crime.
Wilson and Kelling are the creator of this model. They notice that neighborhoods
who have high crime rate, consider of disreputable people . They are the people who
hang out on the corner, the mental ill who pace back and forth up and down the
streets, and those juvenile delinquents that love to pickpocket other people. Most of
the communities are low income minority communities that Wilson and Keiling
looked at. Wilson and Keiling does not think that poverty, racial segregation, and
residential mobility and other social issues is not the root causes to high crimerates,
They think to restore order needs to be placed in these communityas Nixon will say
Law and Order . They think the government cannot eliminate the root causes.
Policing should be enforce more into the community to create a safe haven for
these communities. By not focusing on social reform, rehabilitation is too costly
and difficult. Wilson said to increase cost of crime by increasing punishment in
prison. It will help measure deterrence, and if it does not work incapacitation. He
also the believe that the root causes is caused by causal fallacy. Wilson and Keiling
believed that officers need to go back to the style of enforcement. They explain that
there should be more foot patrol have officers get know the resident while
maintaining order.
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Crop Protection
Crop protection is bought by horticultural makers, including agriculturists, farmers,
and others to ensure themselves against either the loss of their harvests because of
common debacles, for example, hail, dry spell, and surges, or the loss of income
because of decreases in the costs of agrarian things. The two general classifications
of product protection are called crop yield protection and harvestincome protection.
A rancher or producer might yearning to grow a harvest connected with a specific

Compare And Contrast Crime And Punishment In Ancient
Egypt
This paper is to compare and contrast crime and punishment in the ancient
Mesopotamia and Egypt mainly from the following three perspectives: religion,
the purpose of punishment and women. In terms of religion, we can tell from the
Laws of Hammurabi and the Egyptian papyri that the views of religion were both
considered to be supreme in the ancient states. But there are some differences
between the views of the religion, especially in the objective to which the people of
two states believed in respectively. In the Laws of Hammurabi, there are some
examples that prove the status of the nature, like the river, and, in some cases, the
river was the symbol of justice which could prove whether the accused were guilty or
not. People believed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

To survive in the wild, plants must form defenses to...
To survive in the wild, plants must form defenses to protect themselves from
herbivory. The main physical defenses are thorns, used to harm the herbivore, or
predator. This harm to the animal triggers a negative response, therefore causing the
animal to avoid that plant in the future. Plants commonly eaten sometimes form a
sour or bitter taste or odor to deter herbivores. This mechanism causes herbivores to
stay away from such plants and avoid eating them. In addition, poison serves as an
effective deterrent, causing animals to stay away due to its effects. These poisons
may cause vomiting or extreme illness, and in some cases, death, which warns
herbivores to avoid such plants through experience or from warnings by other
animals. A final... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When a predator of the king snakes accidentally goes in for a bite of the coral snake,
they will be surprised to find that they have attacked a venomous snake instead. In
order to catch and utilize food, both herbivores and predators have made
evolutionary advancements to increase their success and survival. Most of these
advancements were physical, as the giraffe displays. In order to reach leaves, the
giraffe advanced its neck size, attaining more food. Like the giraffe, other animals
undergo physical changes such as spiders, adapting their webs and size to better trap
insects. Through the advancement of fibers in their webs and strengthening them,
spiders adapted to their environment and can catch the insects most common in their
ecosystem. Some animals in remote regions with limited food supply have adapted
to intake large amounts of food at once and utilize it for a longer period of time than
a typical animal would. Camels do so with water, making them able to travel across
the desert for long amounts of time with limited water supply.
Plants that serve as predators also adapt, a common example being the carnivorous
plants. A carnivorous plant, such as the Venus fly Trap, can utilize both small insects
and typical plant nutrients to nourish themselves. This proves to be an advantage for
them because insects are frequent in their areas, while soil nutrients can dwindle
more. Also, certain plants advance themselves through
The Pros And Cons Of Burqas
In France of 2010, the French Parliament banned women from wearing burqas in
public. French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, said the burqa is not a religious issue...
It is a question of freedom and women s dignity. When you look at someone the
first thing you see is their face and the face is something you remember about
somebody. French officials think it is not right for women to walk around with
their faces covered up. Everyone has different perspectives of different religions
and it is not right for people to judge other religions and say what other religions
should and should not wear but there are other things religions can do instead of
hiding their faces. On September 24, 2003, Germany s federal constitutional court
rules in favour of an Afghan born teacher who wants to wear an Islamic scarf to
school. Germany banned all teachers from wearing headscarves to school. Germany
started banning headscarves at first which led to banning headscarves and burqas in
the future. On February 3, 2004, France s national assembly began debating a bill to
ban religious symbols, including Muslim headscarves. In European countries, they all
started banning headscarves.
Burqas were not that much of a problem then until their headscarves were getting
banned then burqas started getting banned. Women wore burqas from 2010 to 2017.
In 2010, Belgium was the to ban women from wearing the burqa and niqab in public.
In 2015, Dutch cabinet approves a partial ban on face covering and Islamic

Breastfeeding is a natural phenomenon where the baby is fed milk through mother s
breast rather than using the formulated products that are available in the market.
Babies have a phenomenon called suckling reflex through which the baby sucks and
swallows the milk from mother s breast and this plays a pivotal role in the growth,
development, and enhancement of health of the baby. According to an expert s
recommendation, the baby should be breastfed for at least six months. Breastfeeding
is said to be the best form of nutrition that can be easily digested by the baby. It
creates an amazing bond between the baby and mother which cannot be replaced by
any other formulated products that are available in the market.

Air Quality Pollution
To begin, Hillsborough County in Florida is home to downtown Tampa which is one
of the major cities in the state. With having big cities in your local areas comes with
some side effects. Tampa is related to many air quality issues in the state. Tampa is a
continuously growing city, as people relocate to the area, many things must happen to
accommodate the growth in population. Most of which contributes to of the air
quality standards in our area because of the need for additional roads, and numerous
new housing developments to be built, increasing the amount of power plants to
power the many new houses. To continue, these contribute to massive air quality
issues for Tampa. The number of vehicles increase as more people move to the area,
as well as big truck needed to bring in good and supplies for the increased population.
This is a major concern because back in 2000 Floridavoted to eliminate the emissions
testing for all vehicles, by discontinuing testing there is no way to control vehicles
which expel excessive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Issues arise in
construction zones because all the big construction equipment emit lots of pollution
into our air, and by continuing to build roads and construct his rise building we are
adding to the poor air quality instead of reducing it. In addition to this earlier in 2017
Florida suffered a severe drought, resulting in numerous wildfires spread throughout
the state. This resulted in higher than normal Ozone
Texas Central Railway Pros And Cons
The Central Railway will make the trip either from Dallas to Houston or Houston
to Dallas a much faster and more enjoyable trip. The high speed of the train will
make a trip that could be 4 hours down to about 90 minutes by 2021 (Formby). The
faster travel will lessen traffic to a dramatic difference. Besides being a fast train,
this form of transportation will be environmentally safe. The Central Railway
consumes 1/8th less energy per seat and expends 1/12th carbon dioxide than a Boeing

the drive and the experience of visiting the two cities will not only be more enjoyable
but safer.
The high speed train in Japan has shown researchers in the United States what the
future holds if Texas develops high speed train travel. The quicker train will allow

Does God Exist Essay.pdf

  • 1. Does God Exist Essay Crafting an essay on the existence of God can be an intellectually challenging and thought- provoking endeavor. The complexity of this topic lies in the inherent ambiguity and subjectivity surrounding the concept of God. While some may approach the question from a philosophical standpoint, delving into arguments such as the teleological, cosmological, or ontological, others might explore the theological and religious perspectives. The difficulty arises from the vast array of perspectives, beliefs, and counterarguments that exist on this profound subject. Navigating through the diverse philosophical and theological traditions requires a deep understanding of the historical context, intricate theological doctrines, and the nuanced philosophical arguments that have evolved over centuries. Moreover, the essay demands a careful balance between presenting various viewpoints and offering a cohesive argument. It is essential to engage with both theistic and atheistic perspectives, acknowledging the richness of the discourse while maintaining clarity and coherence in one's own position. Furthermore, the emotional and personal nature of beliefs about God adds another layer of complexity. Writers must approach the topic with sensitivity, recognizing that individuals hold deeply ingrained convictions shaped by personal experiences, cultural backgrounds, and upbringing. Addressing these diverse perspectives requires a delicate balance between critical analysis and respect for differing viewpoints. In conclusion, tackling the question of God's existence in an essay involves navigating through a labyrinth of philosophical, theological, and personal perspectives. It requires a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter, an ability to synthesize diverse arguments, and a sensitivity to the deeply personal nature of beliefs. • 2. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Multi Core Processor Generally the CPU has fetch, decode, and execute operation. Most of today s multi core processors feature shared caches. In shared caches the caches are splitted into blocks and are used randomly by each core in a multi core processor. Because of this there is severe delay experienced by each core and the processing speed is also reduced. This happens due to more time taken for read operation of memory and CPU. The problem faced by such architectures is cache contention. So far the time required for fetching is more when compared to the execution process. The fetching time must be reduced. Hence to address this problem, we have implemented a program that allows the usage of cache memory for each core of a processor at same time. In our concept, we execute all jobs of each... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... ADVANTAGES OF MULTI CORE PROCESSOR The maximum energy in the processing will be visualized in developing the time while simulating the CPU processes like scanning of anti virus, writing, reading, and burning the data. Thinking that the die is set into the package in a physical manner, then the multiple core processor implementations will need very little space for PCB than the multiple chip SMP implementation. Also, a two core processor utilizes very little amount of power than the two strongly bonded single core processor, due to the reduced power needed to transmit the signals outer material to the chip. XIII. EQUATIONS If we consider that the fetching and execution process are on various blocks of cache then the quantity of the process being simulated is 1/n. also if it is said that they are developed on the similar block of cache memory being executed is k/n, where k is the quantity of fetch and execute process being performed. P is said to be the full quantity of cores. N is the full quantity of blocks of cache. The CPU writing time is shown below. CPU write time estimation CPU write time= [CPU pulse period + Memory cycles with L1] * pulse period

Between the 18th and 19th century there were many inventions being built during the industrial revolution. Some inventions that played a role during the industrial revolution were the spinning jenny, steam engine, cotton gin and many other things. Some of them were game changers like the spinning jenny which lead to the mass production of textile and the steam engine which lead to faster travel and more trade. A famous inventor, Thomas Edisoncreated many marvelous things but is mostly known for the light bulb. He also created the phonograph which was a modified version of a telegraph. He noticed the tape of the machine gave of a noise sounding like a spoken voice. Unlike the telegraph, the phonograph played cylinders rather than discs. The cotton gin is a machine designed to remove cotton from its seeds. The process uses a small screen and pulling hooks to force the cotton through the screen. It was invented by Eli Whitney on March 14, 1794. It was one of the many inventions made during the industrial revolution. The cotton gin made the cotton industry of the south explode. Previous to its invention, separating cotton fibers from its seeds was a labor that was intensive and unprofitable since picking cotton was very dangerous. Thomas Edison s creation of the phonograph, Jame Watt s perfected steam engine, and Eli Whitney s cotton gin have all had a great impact back on society in the 18th and 19th century. The mass production caused by the spinning jenny and the ability to communicate from afar with the phonograph were game changers in the industrial revolution. There are many inventions that changed the world but these have had some of the greatest effects during that
  • 4. Cheaper College Education A topic that is hotly debated all over the world, asks Should college education be cheaper? Although some people believe that college education shouldn t be cheaper because Students may not learn to become as financially literate. I believe that college should be cheaper for many reasons; such as, more people will want to go to college, more people will have a higher education, (which solves more problems) and best of all, it saves money. I believe that more people would want to go to college if it were cheaper. A lot of students can not attend college due to the fact that their parents can t afford to help them out or they don t have a high paying job yet. Having cheaper college tuition will help low income students/families be able to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In some ways lowering the cost of college education doesn t help, for example (2017, http://www.trade schools.net/ articles /should college be free.asp Students might take their college education less seriously if they don t have to pay for it. So graduation numbers might drop, or the people who do graduate might not be as well prepared for the workforce. But more than likely more students will take college education more seriously since they have the chance to participate in college without having to worry about the cost. One thing that we can do to change the cost of college education would be to lower the cost of education by a little bit for a year and see how many more students go to college. We could monitor the statistics from year to year until we figure out a plan that helps

  • 6. How Does Tennyson Use Language In The Charge Of The Light... The poem The Charge of the Light Brigade, written by Alfred Tennyson is a mГ©lange of diverse elements. At heart, it is a free verse epic designed to memorialize the bravery of the six hundred men who readily rode into the valley of Death under the aegis of patriotism. Tennyson uses this poem not glorify the battle itself but, rather the soldiers who were an epitome of obedience and valor in spite of the blunders made by their superiors. In the first stanza, Tennyson, with his apt use of repetition and language, is able to offer the reader a ringside seat to the action on the battlefield as the Light Brigade is ordered to charge into enemy lines in the pursuit of guns. The theme of inescapability and inescapabilty are further established in the following line through strong diction: Plunged in the battery smoke . The word plunged has connotations of helplessness, allowing the reader to imagine the utter desperation experienced by the soldier as he is consumed by smoke. The sheer horror of this image allows the reader to appreciate the soldier s bravery in such horrible times. It is due to this valor that the soldiers seem to emerge victorious as suggested by the lines: Reel d from the sabre stroke/ Shatter d and sunder d. However, the victory is not as joyous as the reader would like to believe They rode back, but not/ Not the six hundred. The repetition of not is used to ensure that the reader is painfully aware of the fact that not everyone survived. Only the lucky few were able ride back, unscathed, from the valley of

  • 13. Decision Making Models In Hal Rainey s Understanding And... In the context of public organizations, there are a number of decision making models that can applied to the actions of these organizations. In his book Understanding and Managing Public Organizations, Hal Rainey outlines a number of different theories of organizational decision making that explain why organizations do what they do. The three most prominent theories he describes are rational decision making, incremental decision making, and mixed scanning. Each of these will be discussed in depth for their merit and shortfalls. Rational decision making is the first and simplest method of making decisions. It is the least complex model of decision making and it has essentially four baseline factors that play into it. According to Rainey, rational decision making takes place when the actor making decisions is aware of and understands the goal that he or she is trying to complete. In addition, the actor must be able to determine the importance of the goals being evaluated and then prioritize them accordingly. After this has been done the actor looks at and evaluates all the different ways that a goal can be accomplished, and as a result the actor chooses the action that accomplishes the target goal the most efficiently and effectively. Due to the often times, complex and politically volatile nature of the public sector, rational decision making models are best applied to less important decisions. For example, a rational decision making model can be applied to day to day

The museum had just begun a new show titled, Promenades and Reveries the Art of Lawrence Hurst Exhibit. This art exhibition was not the only art on display at the museum, but to me it was the most entrancing. The Promenades and Reveries Exhibit is showcasing the amazingly poignant artwork of Lawrence Hurst. Lawrence Hurst s exhibit is a mixture of different mediums, colors and ideas. It is not similar to any of the previous paintings mentioned, yet it is still tremendously captivating. In the center of the painting is a brown woman, with a tan hat. The woman s head is down, and the spectator can only behold the outline of her eyes and nose. Yet, she has her hands clasp as if she is actually carrying the miniature brown trees, with abundantly green leaves, that are directly in between her head and hands. The backdrop of the painting is in a quasi checkerboard pattern, with medium size squares, the corners are a sandy yellow color that could be considered fulvous, while the other squares are a lutescent yellow, meaning it is not bright, while not dull either. Malthus And Overpopulation Research In the late eighteenth century, Reverend Thomas Robert Malthus described how human population, when unchecked, grows exponentially while resources (specifically food) exhibits arithmetical growth (Moseley, Perramond, Hapkie, Laris, 2014). Malthus primarily blamed the poor for high fertility rates and argued for the abolishment of all welfare, believing that if the poor succumbed to the negative effects of poverty, overpopulation could be stopped. While this may seem a distasteful solution to modern environmentalists, one cannot completely erase populationfrom the environmentalist equation. Examples Of Social Power In Les Liaisons Fantomina Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Fantomina: Social Power, Female Desire and Sensibility Introduction These two novels depict women in Les Liaisons Dangereuses Marquise and Fantomina s titular character who are unusually empowered. The two are high born socialites who enjoy good reputations in society, wealth, and standing. They also take a distanced view toward sex and sexual fulfillment the Marquise, after a long career of seduction, views it as a game played earnestly by others, while Fantomina uses love and sex as a means to unprecedented social freedom of movement. But perhaps the most dramatic display of men defiling women occurs in Les Liasons, when the Vicomte seduces and forces himself on CГ©cile, who had been heretofore the novel s most innocent and unsullied character (McAlpin, 2009). This symbolism is underlined by the developing, and authentic, relationship between CГ©cile, innocent and naive, and the Marquise herself, the grand dame and high class lady who knows the social order like the back of her hand. It is even more significant, perhaps, that CГ©cile survives her association with the corrupt Marquise, undaunted in her love and original affection for Daneceny. In fact, though the Marquise wishes to convince CГ©cile of her own view, that love is false and not worth pursuing, CГ©cile emerges (somewhat) triumphant, at least in the knowledge that the influence of the Marquise has not altered her vision of life, and her relationship with Danceny (McAlpin, 2009). In this sense, the true attempted defilement of CГ©cile is not in the Vicomte s successful, if forceful, seduction; but the failure of the much more powerful Marquise to turn CГ©cile into a lady libertine like herself. This failure is meant to underline a basic truth about the Marquise: while sophisticated socially and the master of manipulating the psychology of those around her, she is still animated by no great passion that
  • 18. Classroom Reflection Dr. Karen Lea (2016) stated that aggressive behavior has been shown to grow from overly severe and punitive parenting, association with highly aggressive peers, and heavy viewing of television and film violence. Several of my students have clearly experienced such environmental influences which have led to the development of attention seeking behaviors, violent behaviors, poor attitudes towards school and learning, truancy, and below average academic progress. My students have also faced poverty, close family ties to gang activity, death or incarceration of a parent, lack of parental supervision, abuse, hunger, online bullying, inconsistent friendships, and rape. After initially interacting with these students, parents, school, and community, I knew I had to make some important changes to my role as a teacher. I learned right away that I had to make a connection with each one of my students. I made a rule that each morning we greeted each other at the door, looked each other in the eye, and had to either shake hands, high five or fist pump as recognition to each other. Afterward, we were ready to start our day together. I also made and will continue to make it a point to learn at least one thing about each student I work with. They love it when on Monday morning I ask them, Did you win your soccer game on Saturday? or Did your family have another party this weekend? Students light up when you show genuine interest in them or something that is important to them. I also know it is vital to connect with the parents or guardians. I will be moving up to sixth grade next year, but I still plan on reaching out to and being open to communicating with all parents. Therefore, I will have a class website with a calendar keeping students and parents up to date on assignments, test, due dates, etc. I will also upload homework, so parents or students will have access to anything they forgot at school. Additionally, I will continue to write a weekly newsletter and post it on the website as well as send home copies for families that need them. I will set up a class Remind system which is a convenient and quick form of communication through a safe messaging system parents can use on their phones or computers.

Heavy duty lean burn gas engines admit as much as 75% more air than theoretically needed for complete combustion into the combustion chambers. The extremely weak air fuel mixtures lead to lower combustion temperatures and therefore lower NOx formation. While lean burn gas engines offer higher theoretical thermal efficiencies, transient response and performance may be compromised in certain situations. Lean burn gas engines are almost always turbocharged, resulting high power and torque figures not achieveable with stoichiometric engines due to high combustion temperatures. Heavy duty gas engines may employ precombustion chambers in the cylinder head. A lean gas and air mixture is first highly compressed in the main chamber by the piston. A much richer, though much lesser volume gas/air mixture is introduced to the precombustion chamber and ignited by spark plug. The flame front spreads to the lean gas air mixture in the cylinder. This two stage lean burn combustion produces low NOx and no particulate emissions. Thermal efficiency is better as higher compression ratios are achieved. The Tar Heel Family Resort Development Plan For every situation that Martin had to deal with, the battle against eminent domain in regard to his coastal property is where there is a disagreement. Although, the Kelo case gave precedence to the confiscation of personal property for economic development, the party that is executing the condemnation must prove that the confiscation will lead to an economic development that will benefit the common good. Within the proposal of the Tar Heel Family Resort development plan, there is no indication that the development would be for public use. The only broad stroke benefit it may apply to the public is the creation of jobs, which, if the judge uses a broad visionary approach to the concept of eminent domain, the resort may succeed. However, if the judge uses a narrow scope of the term, and that eminent domain will only hold if it s for public accommodations, then Martin will succeed. The two categories are further detailed by Hoyman and McCall: The first category, the narrow justification of eminent domain authority, means that the power is used for traditional public use (Epstein 2005), such as water and sewer systems, prisons, roads, hospitals, government office buildings, and other similar projects. The second category, the broad interpretation of permissible eminent domain use, includes private redevelopment projects that arguably would benefit the public at large (Malloy 2008), by bringing jobs and revenue to a particular jurisdiction (P. 886). • 35. The Physical Journey In The Odyssey And The Kite Runner The physical journey of a character plays a central role in the book and influences many parts of it. Both The Odyssey and The Kite Runner, have main characters that go through a physical journey for different reasons that impacts their lives in many ways. By introspecting the books themes, archetypes, and symbols, it is more comprehensible. In The Odysseyand The Kite Runner both, the physical journey augments to the meaning of the books in total. An important theme that relates to the physical journey in The Kite Runner is the past. The influence of the past affects Amir in his life as we see from the very first sentence of the book until the end. I became what I am today at the age of twelve, on a frigid overcast day in the winter of the 1975... That was a long time ago, but it s wrong what they say about the past, I ve learned, about how you can bury it. Because the past claws its way out. Looking back now, I realize I have been peeking into that deserted alley for the last twenty six years, (Hosseini 1). Throughout the book, Amir s past haunts him in every action he takes and the journey for his redemption. To Amir, the past defines who he currently is. All of his feelings of guilt stimulate him to make up for his mistakes. For example, he feels responsible for the events leading up to Hassan s murder by the Taliban because he pushed Hassan and Ali out of Baba s house. So, years later when he goes back to visit Rahim Khan, Amir is told to make amends by finding his nephew, Sohrab. The past is mentioned in many parts of the book in his quest, Amir faces many obstacles from his past. In The Odyssey, the theme of loyalty relates to Odysseuss physical journey back to Ithaca. Many characters in the epic are loyal and faithful, like Penelope, Telemachus, Eumaeus, and even Odysseus himself. Penelope remains loyal to her husband, by not choosing a suitor during the 20 years he s gone. And there she [Penelope] sat down with the case on her knees and burst into sobs as she drew out her husband s bow, (Homer 317). Just carrying out Odysseus s bow with such sorrow shows how in love she was with Odysseus and how the thought of choosing a new husband moved her to tears. As Penelope remained loyal to Odysseus and

Two noble female poets, Gwendolyn Brooks and Adrienne Rich, illustrate how women should live for their own kind of happiness. This is especially intriguing because not only did Sadie stay home from college but she conceived children out of wedlock. It is critical to record that Brooks noted that Sadie not only bore a child once, but twice. Society would consider her giving birth out of wedlock as a sin or a mistake, however Sadie demonstrated that she did not agree. It is safe to say that if she repented the decision to have children outside of a marriage, she would not have done so twice. Brooks goes on to say: Maud and Ma and Papa Nearly died of shame. Every one but Sadie Nearly died of shame (11 14). This quote shows the judgement imposed on Sadie by her family and every one for stepping out of the norms of society: a young and single mother of two. It is important to mention that Brooks says Maud and Ma and Papa instead of separating them by commas. The reader can assume that she does this to reiterate a long and dragged out list of who is against her choices. Nearly died of shame is especially interesting because this is statement is a hyperbole which stated twice within these four lines. Rather than dying from a natural cause like a heart attack, they almost died from the simple fact that Sadie did not abide by their rules. The repetition adds more emphasis on how completely ridiculous her family is. They are

Knowledge is the full utilization of information and data, coupled with the potential of people s skills, competencies, ideas, intuitions, commitments and motivations. In today s dynamic and complex business environment, the desire for knowledge has increased even more with the scope and content changed dramatically, often spreading outside the organization. Firstly, Polanyi (1958) coined the term tacit and divided knowledge into tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge based on the degree of expression and he says We know more than we can tell . Tacit knowledge is the knowledge embedded in people s mind, usually easy to observe but hard to formalize and communicate to others. A good example given for it is the knowledge on how to ride a bicycle or drive a car. Whereas for the explicit knowledge can be easily captured and stored, hence it can be transferred and communicated to others. The most common form of explicit knowledge is manuals, documents, procedures and others. What is knowledge management? According to experts, it fosters the creation, accumulation, organization, reuse, retrieval, sharing, and transfer of knowledge in organizations (Alavi and Leidner, 2001; Liebowitz, 1999). Plants commonly eaten sometimes form a sour or bitter taste or odor to deter herbivores. This mechanism causes herbivores to stay away from such plants and avoid eating them. Most of these advancements were physical, as the giraffe displays. In order to reach leaves, the giraffe advanced its neck size, attaining more food. Like the giraffe, other animals undergo physical changes such as spiders, adapting their webs and size to better trap insects. Through the advancement of fibers in their webs and strengthening them, spiders adapted to their environment and can catch the insects most common in their ecosystem. Some animals in remote regions with limited food supply have adapted to intake large amounts of food at once and utilize it for a longer period of time than a typical animal would. Camels do so with water, making them able to travel across the desert for long amounts of time with limited water supply. Plants that serve as predators also adapt, a common example being the carnivorous plants. A carnivorous plant, such as the Venus fly Trap, can utilize both small insects and typical plant nutrients to nourish themselves. This proves to be an advantage for them because insects are frequent in their areas, while soil nutrients can dwindle more. Also, certain plants advance themselves through
