OJ Simpson was an American football legend After his Hall.pdfadmin447081
O.J. Simpson was an American football legend. After his Hall of Fame playing career, he
maintained his celebrity status by acting in movies, commercials, and working as an analyst on
NBC Football broadcasts. For these, and many other reasons, the murder of his wife, Nicole
Simpson, and a friend, Ron Goldman, in June 1994 dominated the news for more than a year. The
trial, which lasted nearly a year, was broadcast live on television. There were several key pieces of
evidence linking Simpson to the crime, among which was the presence of a bloody glove behind
Simpsons Rockingham estate, which was found by LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman. The glove
matched one found at the scene of the crime and videos from NBC football broadcast showed
Simpson wearing the same type of gloves in the past. Aside from this, blood in Simpsons car and
house matched blood at the scene and, as the prosecution pointed out at trial, Simpson had a
history of abuse toward his wife. Despite this evidence, Simpson was found not guilty. During the
trial, the defense lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, refuted the relevance of Simpsons previous abuse by
claiming that only one in a thousand abusive husbands eventually murder their wives. In other
words, Dershowitz suggested that the chance that Simpson was guilty of the crime was quite
small, only 1 in 1000; therefore, no reasonable person should find him guilty based on this
evidence alone. 1. Is Dershowitzs claim only one in a thousand abusive husbands eventually
murder their wives relevant in this instance? If yes, explain why. If not, explain why not. In 1994,
there were about 100 million women in the United States, of which 5000 women were murdered,
1500 by their husbands. Further, crime statistics reveal that about two-thirds of the women who
are murdered by their husbands are abused by them prior to their murder, and that about 1% of all
other women are abused by their husbands. Based on these data, 2. Calculate the probability that,
if a woman is abused, her husband will murder her. Is your answer consistent with the statistic
cited by Dershowitz? 3. Calculate the probability that, if an abused woman gets murdered, her
husband is the murderer..

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The simplified electron and muon model, Oscillating Spacetime: The Foundation...RitikBhardwaj56
Discover the Simplified Electron and Muon Model: A New Wave-Based Approach to Understanding Particles delves into a groundbreaking theory that presents electrons and muons as rotating soliton waves within oscillating spacetime. Geared towards students, researchers, and science buffs, this book breaks down complex ideas into simple explanations. It covers topics such as electron waves, temporal dynamics, and the implications of this model on particle physics. With clear illustrations and easy-to-follow explanations, readers will gain a new outlook on the universe's fundamental nature.
2. Type of Documentary
It is a historical documentary because the
documentary is set between 1994-1996 and the
documentary has been made in 2016 and therefore
contains historical facts and evidence.
It is also a expository mode documentary (voice of
god) because there is a narrator in which explains
what is going on throughout which is used so that
the audience understands what is happening.
3. Themes
Crime; because the documentary is about OJ Simpson
murdering 2 people.
Murder; again because OJ is a suspect in the murder of 2
people.
Justice; because he pleads not guilty although there is evidence
that proves otherwise.
Law; because the case it taken to court.
Racism; because OJ Simpson is black and people think that
racism is being shown and initially show previous footage of a
black man being pulled over for speeding being beaten to death
by police officers.
Love; this is also a theme because although OJ is being blamed
for killing his wife he continuously shows his love for her, which
is shown though photos and phone calls.
Football is also a theme because that is what OJ Simpson is
most famous for and initially show clips of him playing before
the murder.
Domestic violence; there was evidence to show that OJ
Simpson has abused his wife in the past which has been shown
in the documentary through phone calls to the police.

his car when he arrives home days after his
wife has died, in which is used so that the

hands outside of their home in which reveals
that they are grieving and love their son.
Mid shots of a variety of news reporters
talking on the news about the trail.
Zoom of helicopter outside the building
where first press briefing is which is used so
reveal the amount of media coverage the
trial is getting.
Crane shot of where the trial is taking place
to give the audience verification that the trail
is taking place at a court.
6. High angle and also a wipe of the city so
illustrate to the audience where the crime
and trial has took place.
Zoom in of a letter that Rob Kardashian
(OJ’s friend) has that OJ has written about
the situation, and so this tells the audience
that it is valid and truthful because it is
coming from OJ Simpson himself.
Long shot and Crane view of the truck that
OJ is in when he is trying to get away
which is used so that the audience have a
clear view of which vehicle he is in.
Mid shot of OJ Simpson sitting in court.
7. Mise-En-Scene
Some members of the press are holding video cameras to
record the events happening on the news and for newspapers.
Police cars driven by police which reinforces the seriousness of
the trial.
OJ’s attorney is wearing suits throughout the documentary
which he has chosen to wear to show that he is professional.
Citizens that feature in the documentary are wearing casual
attire.

shows him smiling, which portrays that at that point of his life
(before murder) he was truly happy.

suit, whereas other than at the trial he is wearing casual
clothing which connotes that he is taking the trial seriously.
8. Sound
Non diegetic sound of heart beating when OJ’s attorney gives
his alibi, which is used so that it gives a dramatic emphasis on
when he is saying.
There is Nicholes voice calling the police when OJ is trying to
get into the room she is in and she comes across scared and
vulnerable which reveals that here home life is not good.
Diegetic sound of police sirens going off which, again,
reinforces the seriousness of the situation.
Diegetic sound of people of the streets chanting OJ’s name
while he drives past in the truck which reveals that he has a lot
of support off of the public.

trying to get away.
Non diegetic sound of narrative voice explaining what is going
on in each scene to make sure that the audience understands.

OJ is a suspect in the murder investigation in which implies that
the case is more that what it seems.

they were a couple.
11. Graphics

inform the audience of when everything
happened.
Subtitles of Nichole calling the police which
is used so that if the audience does not
understand what she is saying, they are
able to read it.

the screen when they appear in the
documentary which is used so that the
audience knows a rough idea of who they
are and how the relate to the trial.
