A deviated nasal septum (DNS) is a physical disorder where the septum is misaligned, which can be present from birth or result from injury. Symptoms include nasal obstruction, recurrent sinus issues, nosebleeds, and disturbed sleep, while severe cases may require a surgery called septoplasty, performed under general anesthesia. The cost of septoplasty in Nepal ranges from Rs 50,000 to 80,000, with a success rate between 43% and 85%.
