Green Banking India’s Vision for Sustainable Finance in G20ijtsrd
In recent years global economies have realised that climate change has the worst impacts at the global level. Every country is experiencing the impact of climate change. Thus, a vision for long run could be the only way to sustain and develop holistically. The G20 summit in 2021 incorporated the concept of Sustainable Finance or the ways to make finance and banking sector more focused towards the sustainable business processes and models. The theme of upcoming G20 summit 2023 in India Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam or One earth, One family, One future clearly shows how much we need to focus on sustainable ways for development. Green Banking is one such way through which sustainable finance could be achieved. Green banking is the way of incorporating sustainable and green methods in banking practices to reduce carbon footprints of banks so that environment could be preserved and sustainable development could be ensured. Banks are adopting sustainable ways of financing and through other green methods are ensuring that there is no harm to the environment. This paper throws light on Indias vision for sustainable finance in G20 and green banking would help in achieving it. Green banking, through innovative and sustainable business models and financially supporting sustainable businesses, would be a key facilitator of sustainable development. Prof. Mohd. Hanif | Manisha Joshi "Green Banking: India’s Vision for Sustainable Finance in G20" Published in International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (ijtsrd), ISSN: 2456-6470, Volume-7 | Issue-3 , June 2023, URL: https://www.ijtsrd.com.com/papers/ijtsrd57525.pdf Paper URL: https://www.ijtsrd.com.com/management/accounting-and-finance/57525/green-banking-india’s-vision-for-sustainable-finance-in-g20/prof-mohd-hanif
Employees' Perception towards In- House Green Banking Activities of the Comme...Dr. C.VIJAI
The most important themes of 21st century are the environmental protection and sustainable ecological balance, and it becomes an important issue that must be considered by all functional areas. However, green banking is still a major issue and can take an important role for the development of India. Even though the Indian banks have identified the need for greening their activities, they are running behind their counterparts that of developed economies. In addition to mitigating risks, green banking opens up new markets and avenues for product differentiation. The present study focuses its main attention to answer what in-house green banking practices are followed by the select commercial banks? In this context, the researchers have made an attempt to examine the perception of employees towards in-house green banking activities of the commercial banks in Cuddalore district. By adopting multi-stage sampling 175 employees were selected. As an essential part of the study, the primary data were collected from 175 bank employees with the help of schedule. The perception of the employees have been analyzed using student t test, analysis of one-way variance, analysis of co-efficient of variation, discriminant function analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study reveal that there is no significant relationship among the acceptance levels of the respondents of different genders, age groups, educational status groups, monthly salary groups, tenure of experience, place of work, bank belongs to, and type of bank towards in-house green activities of the select commercial banks. Security and privacy issues, technical issues, lack of infrastructure, lack of coordination among stakeholders, lack of awareness and capacity building, higher operating expenses, reputation risk, diversification issues - limiting and restricting the business, infant nature of green concept and liquidity issue are the problems stated by the bank employees in regards green banking. The researchers suggest various measures to improve the scope of green banking.
Green Bank is like a normal bank, which considers all the social and environmental / ecological factors with an aim to protect the environment and conserve natural resources”. It is also known as ethical bank or sustainable bank. Their purpose is to perform banking activities but with an additional plan towards taking care of earth’s ecology, environment, and natural resources including biodiversity.

Fiinovation webinar on Promotion of Livelihood through Affirmative Action & C...Fiinovation
Based on the fact that majority of the people below the poverty line belong to the backward communities, it is important to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for them through development initiatives. As these communities remain vulnerable due to lack of opportunities, skills, education, finance etc, they keep entangling themselves in the viscous circle of poverty. Livelihood generation for these communities remain a cause of concern with widespread discrimination, climate change, no social security and other such constraints. Therefore, the alignment between the affirmative action, CSR and livelihood is crucial to not only target the right beneficiaries but also eradication of poverty.
If the SC/ST communities are provided with adequate skill, infrastructure, resources and finance, it will help India achieve the set national goals of skill development, inclusive growth and higher GDP. Keeping in mind the role of corporations in generation of employment opportunities for the communities, the webinar will focus on the need to promote livelihood initiatives through affirmative action and CSR. The webinar will also highlight the benefits of inclusive development and how corporations can lead the change.

Fiinovation Webinar on Poverty, Climate Change & Affirmative ActionFiinovation
Eradication of poverty has been the major focus of the UN member countries from past three decades. Despite significant efforts, a large segment of the world population still lives below the UN poverty line of $1.25 per day. One major threat to the efforts of poverty eradication is the growing concerns of global warming. Already the consequences of climate change can be seen with unpredictable weather changes, insufficient rains, severe droughts and the fast melting galciers. India is probably facing the worst water crisis in its history after two successive years of less monsoons. Marathawada in Maharashtra, North Karnataka and parts of Telangana are living at the mercy of the state and central government with no water left to drink or irrigate. Dams in Marathwada has only 3% water left in them. This water crisis is affecting not only the people and economy but also livestock and cattle which are valuable assets for the poor farmers. Understanding the gravity of the situation it can be said that India needs to focus not only on mitigating risks of climate change but also ensure development of opportunities to reduce vulnerability of the poor.

Religious festivals are innate part of our lives. In fact these festivals are a way of passing our cultural heritage from one generation to another. However, these festivals have a deep impact on our environment. Some of the practices like burning firecrackers, immersing offerings in the river etc create much pollution. Initially traditional festivals were about cleaning our homes and enhancing the natural beauty around us. With time these festivals have become highly unsustainable in nature.

Fiinovation Forging Partnerships Between Corporations and CSOsFiinovation
The corporations including SMEs have today realized the necessity of developing the society in which it operates, besides generating profit. This has increased their involvement in lending funds for improvement of the community at large. However, their good deeds face bottlenecks due to lack of expertise in monitoring, implementation and evaluation of utilization of funds, which are crucial in assessing whether any real change is being brought on ground. Similarly , the CSOs or the organizations working for societal development on ground are unable to implement the projects, and thus, are forced to discontinue their operations.

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.

Micro RNA genes and their likely influence in rice (Oryza sativa L.) dynamic ...Open Access Research Paper
Micro RNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs molecules having approximately 18-25 nucleotides, they are present in both plants and animals genomes. MiRNAs have diverse spatial expression patterns and regulate various developmental metabolisms, stress responses and other physiological processes. The dynamic gene expression playing major roles in phenotypic differences in organisms are believed to be controlled by miRNAs. Mutations in regions of regulatory factors, such as miRNA genes or transcription factors (TF) necessitated by dynamic environmental factors or pathogen infections, have tremendous effects on structure and expression of genes. The resultant novel gene products presents potential explanations for constant evolving desirable traits that have long been bred using conventional means, biotechnology or genetic engineering. Rice grain quality, yield, disease tolerance, climate-resilience and palatability properties are not exceptional to miRN Asmutations effects. There are new insights courtesy of high-throughput sequencing and improved proteomic techniques that organisms’ complexity and adaptations are highly contributed by miRNAs containing regulatory networks. This article aims to expound on how rice miRNAs could be driving evolution of traits and highlight the latest miRNA research progress. Moreover, the review accentuates miRNAs grey areas to be addressed and gives recommendations for further studies.

Young Soldiers for Environment Sustainability
30% of the world population consists of youth and “Investing on Young People” was the theme of the world population day 2014.
Studies have reiterated the relevance of investing in youth and capacitating them to take the world to newer heights. The
involvement of youth in environmental and development initiatives is important for the successful completion of a programme.
This brings us to the question, if the youth is serious or actually aware about the environment; it could be environment safety,
management or sustainability. It would be difficult to say that youth is not conscious, but yes the awareness level is low. There is a
lack of serious concern for environment management, simply because according to them there is lot of other issues that need to be
addressed. It could also be related to a lack of urgency that exists for the issues of environment degradation. The shortsighted and
casual view is obviously a matter of concern. Therefore, there is a need to focus on environment management undoubtedly and we
must adopt measures that preserve the environment.
Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. recommends working towards providing the youth with a secure and healthy future that
includes quality environment, improved standard of living and access to education and employment. There should be consultations
with the youth and a dialogue process should be established between the government and the people to understand their
perspective on environment sustainability. There is a need to develop a sustainability education and community service
programme, run online platforms for feedback and encourage environment protection in school curriculums.
People can contribute in a big way by taking up the challenge of environment protection and making it a mission. Youth can
volunteer after work or school to participate in activities which are related to environment protection. This can be done along with the
day to day activities. Spreading awareness and advocating for environment management as the trend will be useful. Sensitization of
the rural youth is important to create an overall impact. Environment management needs to become a mandated component of
every developmental programme. All programmes need to address the issues of allocation and entitlement of natural resources,
housing, recreation, and reduction of pollution and toxicity in both rural and urban areas.
The demand for environment friendly products and services should be increased and the youth can be the prime drivers. Innovative
Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd. believes it is up to the youth to take cognizance of what to use and what not to. Some of the initiatives that
youth can participate are:

About Fiinova on
04
The 7 billion world population is both, a challenge and an
opportunity, which has implications on sustainability,
urbanization, health and youth empowerment. The opportunity
is to cash on the demographic dividend, especially when 1.8
billion out of the 7 billion is young. However, the challenge
remains a matter of concern, since the newer generations have
more demands which are not eco-friendly. Enormous burden is
being put on the existing resources which are becoming half
every 10 years.
In 1989, the Governing Council of the United Nations
Development Programme recommended that, 11th July
should be observed by the international community as World
Population Day.
The theme of 2014 World population is “investing in young
people”. A youth centric approach implies keeping the youth at
the centre of all development planning. Fiinovation
encourages companies and donors to initiate youth
programmes that further creates opportunities for overall
human development. Involvement of youth is the key for
enhanced programme output and they must be kept at the core
of all programme design and strategy.
It was a unanimous decision of the United Nations General
Assembly to observe 18th July as Nelson Mandela
International Day. The day is observed to honour the great man
on his birthday and carry on his legacy of volunteer work and
community service. The day was inspired by the call Nelson
Mandela made by placing the responsibility of social service in
the hands of the people. This day is a celebration of the work
done by Mandela and is a global call for action that reiterates
his belief of every individual possessing the power to
transform the world.
Mandela lived with three basic principles in life that
encapsulated themselves through freedom of self, freedom of
others and service for all. People are urged on this day to find
inspiration for their contribution in the legacy of Nelson
Mandela and to serve their fellow humans every day. Actions
can be big or small and should focus on the realization or
restoration of dignity and empowerment of people through their
contributions. Some of the areas that the youth can contribute
are food security, shelter and infrastructure, education and
literacy, service and volunteerism etc. Nelson Mandela has
fought for social justice for 67 years and the fraternity is asking
people to start with 67 minutes.
