11. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s
View Of ANGELS
He believed that the matters of the unseen mentioned in
the Qur'an (Jinn, Angels, the Hereafter etc.) cannot be
opposed to scientific reality and thus must be given re-
interpretations within those known scientific realities.
As a result he began to say that "angels" are simply the
"properties" of created things like the hardness of stone,
the fluidity of water and so on. And that "angel" also means
divine moral support.
That "Shaytan" refers to the dark passions of man and that
the "Jinn" are projections of evil, disease and other
calamities (and not actual beings), but in some instances
may refer to wild men living in forests and deserts.
12. Scientific View
Just to understand, angels resemble with the electromagnetic
force (electromagnetic radiation).
Angels are made of light and light is made of electromagnetic
radiation, which travels at 186,000 miles per second.
Electromagnetic force obeys the laws of nature incessantly
without mistake Hence it has a one-dimensional nature like
angels.
It is invisible except in the visible range of the electromagnetic
spectrum (4,000 to 7,000 Angstroms wavelength).
The Qur'an mentions that angels came in -the form of humans.
This is also not difficult to understand because we can create
Holographic images, which are three-dimensional human
figures that can talk using laser light and white light.

15. CHARACTERISTICS
They are created from light, before mankind
They do not eat or drink
They do not get bored or tired of remembering and
worshipping Allah
They differ in sizes. Holy Prophet (sallahu alaihe
wasallam) said: "I saw Gabriel descending from
heaven, and his great size filled the space between
heaven and earth." [Sahih Muslim].
They have wings; the Messenger of Allah (peace
and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw Gabriel in
his true form. He had six hundred wings, each of
which covered the horizon.
16. The greatest speed known today is the speed of light. the
angels are able to travel much faster than this. Hardly
had an enquirer completed a question to the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but Gabriel
would bring the answer from Allah. Event of hazrat
khaula( raziallahu anha)
17. Their number is known only to Allah. "Then I was
taken up to the al-Bayt al-M’amoor: every day
seventy thousand angels visit it and leave, never
returning to it again." [al-Bukhaari].
They are innocent. Quran says:
