People in same family eat different food. Why?
Babies : take more milk, and have well smashed food, and fruits.
Adults : eat rice, chapathi, nuts ,meat and vegetables and spicy food.
Elderly : Eat well cooked food and well steamed vegetables, soup and softy meat.
What kind of food is common between family members of all age group?
food like Banana, watermelon can be had by anyone in the family.
Why do people of the same family eat different kinds of food?
The body digests food differently for different people.
babies and old people take food that can be digested easily
and need not be chewed .
Will a teacher and a Cricketer eat the same kind of food?
Cricketer : eats food rick in calcium and protein like milk, ghee, meat
to give then energy to play
teacher: Will take the regular amount of food as he/she will not lose
more energy than a sports person
Do all of eat the same amount of food?
 No, adults eat more food than children
 Athletes eat more than a non – athlete.
 Children who play a lot eat as much as an adult
 Old people eat less than an adult.
 when we fall sick we tend to eat less.
Why do we need to eat food?
 We need to eat food to energies our body to do day today activates like Playing, studying, walking.
 We need food to grow.
Who eats more food –
 Father or mother?
 You or your aunt?
 Baby or you?
A child plays more, but a teacher eats more food then the child why?
the body of the teacher is larger than a child and will require more food intake. A teacher can walk for a longer
distance than a child
Wil children in different parts of the world eat the same amount of food?
If the children are of the same size they will eat the same amount of food.

  • 2. What does diversity mean? Diversity means difference in people like language, age, style, food, culture, appearance or religion. Why do we say India is Diverse? We say India is Diverse because in different parts of India , people are different in appearance, language, style and food we eat. Lets Play a Game : In which Region are there Places located Delhi Mumbai Kolkata Chennai Is the food in all the regions N-S-E-W the same? No. Lets discuss some of the foods taken in each region.   • 3. What are the common food items taken in North India. Chapathi Pulses( like Rajma. Dal Tadka, Dal Makini) Curd Raita Meat Curry Paneer dishes What are the common food items taken in South India. Sambar, rice dosa Curd rice rasam Vegetables
  • 4. What are the common food items taken in East India. Rice, fish Curry momos Rasagulla What are the common food items taken in west India. Poa Bhaji/ PAV Bhaji Chapathi Thepla Seafood Bhelpuri

Some type of food is eaten in many regions • Curd rice is a south Indian dish but it is eaten in northern Indian as well. • Fish is popular in east India, but is also famous in south India – Kerala • Briyani is popular is south and North India • Puri and Subji are popular in almost all parts of the country. Some food types like Chicken tikka masala and Paneer are famous in other countries Why do people eat different kind of food? People eat different food for various reasons • Climate • Local vegetables or meat that they get. • the culture of their upbringing Food that is common among various regions

Some of the are Fried Rice, noodles, dim sums and chilly chicken ENGLAND – is Part of UK. England ruled over India for more than 300 years India and England also play cricket matches often Fish and chips, Bread and pudding, Pie are some of the famous dishes of England.

PIZZA, Pasta, Lasangna Name an Indian food that is famous in England? Chicken tikka masala is almost like a national dish of England. Lot of Indians and Pakistani settled in England. Name a Chinese dish famous in India? Noodles, dim sims, Soups Name an Italian dish famous in India? Pizza
  • 8. Do people in the same family eat the same food? People in same family eat different food. Why? Babies : take more milk, and have well smashed food, and fruits. Adults : eat rice, chapathi, nuts ,meat and vegetables and spicy food. Elderly : Eat well cooked food and well steamed vegetables, soup and softy meat. What kind of food is common between family members of all age group? food like Banana, watermelon can be had by anyone in the family. Why do people of the same family eat different kinds of food? The body digests food differently for different people. babies and old people take food that can be digested easily and need not be chewed . Will a teacher and a Cricketer eat the same kind of food? Cricketer : eats food rick in calcium and protein like milk, ghee, meat to give then energy to play teacher: Will take the regular amount of food as he/she will not lose more energy than a sports person

Do all of eat the same amount of food?  No, adults eat more food than children  Athletes eat more than a non – athlete.  Children who play a lot eat as much as an adult  Old people eat less than an adult.  when we fall sick we tend to eat less. Why do we need to eat food?  We need to eat food to energies our body to do day today activates like Playing, studying, walking.  We need food to grow. Who eats more food –  Father or mother?  You or your aunt?  Baby or you? A child plays more, but a teacher eats more food then the child why? the body of the teacher is larger than a child and will require more food intake. A teacher can walk for a longer distance than a child Wil children in different parts of the world eat the same amount of food? If the children are of the same size they will eat the same amount of food.
