2.  Is it a teaser trailer or a theatrical trailer - how do we know?
- It’s a theatrical trailer as it is longer than 30 seconds and
contains the main information needed for a trailer such as the
cast, a slight hint of narrative and the key dates of release.
 How does the editing create a narrative
- The sound used creates a narrative as when there is something
significant to the film a story or revelation, the music becomes
fast paced to connote tension .
 Analyse the visual style and editing of the trailer
- The visual styles such as when we see the girl fading and
waking up is a good effect as it can connote to the audience that
the girl was in a dream and just woke up from it. This is also a
good genre signifier as it shows how the genre of sci/fi is
adapted to a normal action of waking up.
- Also the visual styles of where fighting is happening also
connotes to the genre as we know that action is taking place.

3.  What genre signifiers does the trailer use?
- Genre signifiers that the trailer uses is the character exposition, the editing
and sound and the build up of the narrative. For example we can identity the
type of genre the film is through the editing effects and the exposition of the
characters as they show a form of action and thrill. Also the music builds up
to the tension and creates the outline of a narrative. The voice over also
helps to establish the narrative in the trailer.
 How are intertitles utilised - what do they say and what is the effect?
- The intertitles are utilised to show the audience what the film takes after. We
see phrases such as ‘based on the worldwide bestseller’ which is meant to
persuade the audience to watch it due to the outcomes of the book.
 What do the audience learn about the actors, directors, producers of the film
and are there any intertextual references
- There are no intertextual references within the trailer at all.

5.  What is the central image - how does it link with the trailer?
The central image is of the two main protagonists in the film. It links
well to the film because of the characters and the colour scheme
used.
 Are there any secondary graphics?
There are no secondary graphics in the image which means that
the main importance of the film is the two protagonists in the
poster.
 What fonts are used - do they synergise with the trailer?
The fonts that are used in the poster also synergises with the fonts
used in for the intertitles in the film. This synergises between both
media texts and gives genre signifiers to what time of film it may be.
 Is there a tagline that is used in the poster that is used in the trailer?
There is no tagline in the poster that refers back to the trailer.

6.  Would you say that it is a teaser poster or the pre release poster?
I would say that this is a pre released poster as it has the legit
information needed for a poster
 What is the colour palette of the poster does it match the visual style
of the trailer?
The colours match the actual poster and trailer as it has a similar
pallet consisting of red, black and blue.
