The opening of the trailer shows the main
male character entering a family party, at
first this portrays him as normal family man
as you see his daughter giving him a hug
saying ‘Dad’.

3. This screenshot shows one of the
first encounters we watch in the
trailer, this suggest to the
audience the importance of the
daughter to the male.
There is a narrative over this image of the
daughter explaining about her trip to paris
with her friend, you can tell there is
something slightly off about this as the
music takes a change through a deeper
louder tone.

4. In this sequence the music
continues to become louder and
deeper, which signalises there is
something wrong. The editing
here is used as a split screen to
show both the daughters and
fathers situation at the present
time, this is tied together as they
are on the phone.

point of view shot from the
daughter watching her friend get
‘taken’ this adds to suspense of
the scene as the audience can
see what is happening but the
male on the phone can not.

5. Here you see a close up of the daughters
facial expression as well as the point of
view shot of what she can see. This is
useful for the audience because the
seriousness of the situation is shown
through what her face is telling the
audience.
As the scene develops you can see the
panic in the female increases as she
explains to her father what is happening,
this shown through the dramatic music
and her tone of voice.

6. The intensity of the film is
demonstrated in the next series of short
clips shown, this is done by the faster
paced music and flashing images
showing men screaming and the main
character running accompanied by the
dialog of him asking ‘where is she’.
The genre and plot of the film is made
very clear by how this trailer is put
together.
This is the final title shown in the trailer,
the black background, the black
suggests the more sinister side of the
film as well as showing the title to stand
out more. They have made this the last
thing you see so it is easier for the
audience to remember
