The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

Rationale
The Youth for Environment in Schools-organization (YES-O) in Secondary and Integrated Schools is one of
the performing organizations in the Division of Capiz. Its primary aim is to preserve and protect the environment. The
mandated programs, projects and activities of the organization are stipulated in DepEd Order no. 93 s. 2011, DepEd
Order no. 52 s. 2011, DepEd Order no. 72 s. 2003 and YES-O Constitution and By-Laws.
Covid-19 Pandemic has changed the educational setting that in School Year 2020-2021 YES-O activities had
stopped. Face to face is no longer applicable that activities and programs were developed to fit the new normal as
stipulated in the approved Calendar of Proposed Activities (CAPA) for S.Y. 2021-2022 dated August 17,2021.
However, YES-O advisers are not trained and knowledgeable of these new activities and programs. For this reason,
the District Virtual Seminar-Workshop for YES-O Thrusts and Programs for Secondary and integrated School YES-
O Advisers , Science Teachers and Student-Officers will be conducted.
Program Description
The activity will be entitled: District Virtual Seminar-Workshop for YES-O Thrusts and Programs for
Secondary and integrated School YES-O Advisers, Science Teachers and Student-Officers. It will be a 3-day
activity which will be participated by 60 participants including YES-O advisers, Science Teachers and YES-O Student-
officers. The proposed date will be on March 2-4, 2022. It will start at 8:30 in the morning with an opening program on
March 2, 2022 and will end on March 4, 2022. It will be facilitated by the Science Teachers of Pontevedra National
High School headed by the School Principal III, Leowel P. Batuigas.
Google Meet will be used. There will be 10 Sessions with different important topics. Speakers will be invited
coming from Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region VI and YES-OAA Officers. How to conduct
YES-O Mandated Programs and Projects in the new normal will be discussed. There will be workshop/write shop in
making communication letters, proposals, terminal reports and Annual Accomplishment Report (AAR). YES-O
Constitution and By-Laws will also be discussed. Outputs for every topic will be sent through the given e-mail.
The objective of this activity are the following:
1. To establish specific and doable programs, projects and activities to address issues and concerns on the
environment and ecology.
3. 2. For participants to be aware of their duties and responsibilities as YES-O Advisers and school YES-O
Presidents as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 72, s. 2003 and to be aware of the YES-O Constitution and By-
Laws (CBL).
3. To train participants in making project proposal and terminal report in performing and accomplishing activities
and programs
After the INSET :
1. Participants come up with programs, activities and projects in their respective schools for a year.
2. Awareness of participants of their role as officers and oriented of the YES-O CBL.
3. Participants submit outputs of sample Activity proposal of a chosen mandated program or project and written
outputs.
