Description The activity was a conference of school administrators and SMEA

Design of the
Event
The activity was a conference focused on presentation and validation
of data gathered from the First Quarter 2023 of all schools covered by
Area 1.
Methodology  Registration of Participants started at 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
 Short opening program where the Brgy. Chairman of San
Isidro, Babatngon Leyte welcomed the participants and then
the Division SBM Focal Person, Dr. Raul A. Salaño presented
the Statement of Purpose for the activity.

the Activity
The activity was managed and spearheaded by the Area I Focal Person
with 1 Division EPS and assisted with the Malibago National High
School (Host School) Administration and Faculty.
Resource Persons The Division EPS and Area I Focal Person with staff served as the
facilitators of the activity.
Logistical
Arrangements
Following the standards of government procurement, the venue
arrangement was made prior to the conduct of the activity and the
food was managed by a catering service.

Feedback
The participants found the conference relevant and meaningful as
they gained deeper understanding of the “Adjustment” under the
SMEA acronym which was actually pertaining to the adjustment of
programs, technology and ways to address a problem or gap within
the school, application of the best practices or initiatives which could
be a great help to the achievement of key result areas under Quality,
Access and Governance and not to adjust the result of activities or
programs conducted in each quarter.

The participants were engaged in the validation of their data and in
the brainstorming on what is the operational definition of the
“Students at Risk of Failing in the Next Quarter” placed in the
Consolidated School Gradesheet.
