Live in the human mouth,
intestines, and skin.
LACTOBACILLI, produces lactic
acid from simple carbohydrates.
COLIFORM BACILLI, helps break
down carbs and combat disease-
causing bacteria.
 Harmful when it moves from it’s original place.

LEVELS OF
PREVENTION

41. Primary Level
It is used before the person
gets the disease.
Activities are done to prevent
one from having the disease.
This includes getting
immunized, eating a healthy
diet, and getting enough sleep.

42. Secondary Level
It is used after the disease has
occurred, but before the person
notices that anything is wrong.
Activities are done to prevent
further damages when the
disease has already started.
This includes prompt diagnosis
and treatment.

43. Tertiary Level
This targets the person
who already has symptoms
of disease.
Focuses on rehabilitating
the sick person so as to
prevent long-term
complications of the
disease.
