The Duchess of Malfi was first performed in 1613 or 1614 by the King s Men, the acting
company to which Shakespeare belonged. The play was not printed until around ten years later
in 1623, in quarto, a smaller and less expensive edition than the larger folio size used for the first
edition of Shakespeare s complete works. The title page of this edition (shown in Figure 1) tells

This year in the United States there will be an estimated 1,665,540 diagnosed cancer cases and
585,720 deaths due to the disease.1 Cancer ranks as the second most common cause of death in the
US only behind heart disease. As cancer accounts for nearly a quarter of all deaths in the United
States2, many people view the diagnosis of cancer as a death sentence. This feeling of hopelessness
can lead patients to make questionable decisions regarding treatment options. While current
advances have led to increasingly positive prognoses for those diagnosed with differing forms of
cancer, the significant death rate among those same patients may deter cancer patients from seeking
traditional therapies and treatments. What people often times do not realize is that most of these
alternative forms of treatment that have not been proven to be effective may be more detrimental
to patients health than the actual cancer itself. In order to fully understand the effectiveness of the
treatments that a patient is going to receive, it is important to look not only the physiological
effects of the treatments themselves, but also the effects of the disease.
Each year in the United States roughly 2.4 per every 100,000 Americans under the age of 65 are
diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and 12.6 per 100,000 are diagnosed over the age of 65 10.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a noninvasive medical test that physicians use to diagnose
and treat medical conditions. MRI uses a powerful magnetic field, radio frequency pulses and a
computer to produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, bone and virtually all other internal
body structures.

For my ethnography project, I chose to study the fandom of The Walking Dead. For the purpose
of this paper, I will refer to The Walking Dead as a comic, a video game, and a TV show series.
The focus of this ethnography is to understand how the comic book culture influences many fans.
Since the series is based on a graphic novel series, and some of the fans are schooled in comic
culture; they arrive with literacy in comic storytelling. Others who are not fans may recognize the
visually and narrative of zombie films, in the horror genre after 1968 s Night of the Living Dead
and Dawn of the Dead. Yet many Walking Dead fans appear to have migrated to the zombie tale
without any particular connection to the comic book storytelling, or significant fascination, and the
series fandom illuminates how an apocalyptic imagination has expanded into popular culture.
The Walking Dead fandom has changed by geek standard. The Walking Dead has nearly all the
classic of the 21st century geek fandom: in this picture, it shows you the evolution of graphic

Wasted Food Essay
Every year, billions of pounds of food are wasted throughout the world. It is important to realize
that this is an enormous problem. This is a problem by cause of countless people could have
prevented it by just starting their meal with less food. Misunderstanding the consequences of food
waste, people don t even understand how much food they wastethroughout their lives. Food that
we throw out results in so abounding problems and wastes of needed resources. Wasted food is a
strong loss as a result of wasted water, money and food for others in need. Moreover, food is a

Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection
Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection (CAUTI) is defined as the occurrence of a urinary
tract infection (UTI) in patients with a urinary catheter in the past 48 hours. Published guidelines
by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) further defines CAUTI by the presence of
significant bacteriuria of в‰Ґ 103 CFU/ml found in the urinalysis and signs and symptoms of a
UTI without the presence of another cause for these findings. Signs and symptoms of CAUTI could
include: altered mental status, fever, chills, flank pain, costovertebral angle tenderness, and
hematuria. If the catheterhas been removed in the past 48 hours the symptoms could also include
urgency and frequency (Fakih et al., 2016).
A2. Significance of the problem
The most common health care associated infection (HAI) is CAUTI. Forty percent of all
hospital acquired infections are UTIs and 80% of these are directly linked to having an
indwelling urinary catheter in place (Underwood, 2015). Urinary catheters are required in up to
25% of hospitalized patients and bacteriuria results in about 25% of patients with a catheter for
greater than 5 days and this number increases by 1 to 5% for each day the catheter is in place
after that. The harmful consequences of CAUTI include increased length of stay, higher health care
cost, and increased mortality. CAUTI is known to cost health care in the U.S. $400 $500 million
annually (Leuck et al., 2015).

Abstract
In order to decrease the number of cycles of infiltration and maintain a comparable cathode
performance, the viability of using a conductive LSF YSZ composite scaffold with one
infiltration cycle of LSCF was investigated. XRD patterns of LSF YSZ powder presented that at
1400oC and 1300oC calcination, an obvious shift in LSF peak occurred, indicating Zr doping
into LSF and forming a less conductive phase. Different ratios of LSF YSZ scaffolds were tested
by impedance spectroscopy with the results showing that the ohmic resistance decreases as the
amount of LSF increases, and 1350oC scaffold has a much lower ohmic resistance than the
1400oC one. A pure YSZ cell infiltrated with 35 wt% LSCF was used as reference and by
comparing it with a cell composed of 70:30 LSF YSZ scaffold calcined at 1350oC with one cycle
of LSCF infiltration, a comparable cell performance both in ohmic and non ohmic parts was
achieved.
Introduction
In solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), the typical cathodes with the best performance are usually
composites of the electrolyte oxide and an electronically conductive and catalytically active oxide
which is usually a perovskite.1,2 For example, in cells made of yttria stablized zirconia (YSZ)
electrolyte, the conventional cathode composite is a mixture of YSZ and Sr doped LaMnO3
(LSM). 1,2 The commonly used YSZ electrolyte oxide in the electrode is to enhance the ionic
conductivity, thus increasing the electrochemically active region in the electrode. 1 4

fought for the Union only because congress passed two Acts allowing the enlistment of African

The Causes of Ocean Pollution Ocean Pollution has been occurring for years. It is important
because trash and toxic substances are harmful to humans and animals. Animals are continuously
dying either by being choked from trash caught around their neck or them mistaking it for food.
Humans are responsible for overfishing. There is less fish species due to overfishing. Ocean
Pollutionis caused by people, natural disasters and animals. When looking at the ocean pollution

If seabirds and marine life keep dying from eating cast off garbage they will eventually become
extinct. The dumping of toxic liquids in the ocean directly affects the marine life as they are
considered hazardous and secondly, they raise the temperature of the ocean, known as thermal
pollution, as the temperature of these liquids is quite high(causes and effects). Toxic liquids are
not good for the water, humans and marine life. The temperature of the ocean is highly affected
by carbon dioxide and climate changes, which impacts primarily the ecosystems and fish

because too much can make the water warmer than it should be. Landfills urban runoff, ocean

reductions in oxygen levels, the decay of plant life, a severe decline in the quality of the

significance; hijab is used to describe head covering. The wearing of this attire is a personal
choice for some and a religious one for others. In Arabic the word means cover, and according to
